Thanks! No, I never get the flu from a flu shot, although they tell you that you may get mild symptoms. I usually get a little ache in my arm for a day or two and maybe a little fatigue, but that's it. That's well worth going through to avoid 7 to 10 days of misery.

I recommend the flu shot. I've had one every year for a couple of decades now, and I've never had the flu any of those years.

I completely forgot about getting a flu shot this year until now !!! xo

The only thing better than seeing Casting Crowns live is seeing them live in the Smoky Mountains! Have a great time!

Friday morning hello! Still dragging some, but we're going into a three-day weekend, so I can stand it. Here in the U.S. Monday is Columbus Day, but seeing as how it'll be Thanksgiving in Canada, there's a good excuse to have a turkey dinner sometime during the weekend! As the LOLcats say, "Nom!"

Part of my "tired" is because Mr. hasn't been getting as much sleep as he should, from looking after his dad, and if he doesn't sleep well, neither do I. Wednesday the doctor told MIL that it could be a matter of days ... he's getting "clingy" and afraid to be left alone in a room. Although, when the doctor gave FIL about 3 months, that was 7 or 8 months ago. Mr. is "on duty" for a few hours each on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I'm hoping I can get him to relax some in between.

I'm hoping all of YOU get to relax some this weekend, too.

Good afternoon Christmas friends!
It's Friday! Here we have Fall break all next week!
Yay! The kids are exiting!!

We are staying at home, but are taking some road trips.
Tonight I'm taking the boys out around seven. We will look at the stars
and I have bought them some new flashlights to use on our walk.
Its getting dark here around six! (and cold)

We thought of going up the mountains next week, but there is
something wrong with the water in the cabin. So we stay home.
I also promised the boys to take them fishing on Monday.

Im feeling better! Hurray! So GLAD it's Friday!

Good merry morning to all!!!! What a beautiful day here in NYC!!! The sun is just AWESOME!!!! It will be 80 degrees, hubby is off today he did an all night-er but is going to the beach with Snickers lucky stinkers!!!

So today I am all sorts of contrasting.... I am wearing white Capri's (after Labor Day - OH MY)... A summer top... Flip-flops.... And it is 10/5!!!! The temp as mentioned above will be 80 degrees, and I have Christmas songs blaring for my radio!! Lov'in every minute!!!!

I check the countdown often, but have never actually registered and posted until today! I'm excited to join in the discussion. This weekend in Oklahoma the high temp is only about 50 or so, so its going to feel like winter! Had to listen to some Christmas songs on my way to work this morning.
While I sneak some Christmas music in earlier, the Season for me always starts with Halloween. I love taking my kids trick-or-treating and watching them have a good time. I love it too because the next morning, on Nov. 1, I switch the decorations, music, and other things over to Christmas! Anyone else start the season then?

Thank you, CM3! Although he tries, he cannot climb all the way up the porch steps any more. Someone has to be there to help him up. He was very scared the first time we helped him as he didn't know what we were doing, but now he trusts us. It is so sad to see him getting this way

Oh Meceka, I know how you feel. xo How old is Bo now ?? My Wish seems to be declining a little too. I hate that he is aging faster than I am but then again, I wouldnt want to leave him here without me. I will say extra prayers for your baby xoxo

I was blown away with her singing and the most surprising thing about this, is that prior to watching the videos that MerryCarey had posted, I had never even seen nor heard of her before. y'all remember me telling you my b-i-l & sister had come up for a funeral right? well they were gonna go back home today but my b-i-l's Mom is dying. they went to the visitation for the funeral last night & got a call while there about his Mother not doing good & to come straight to the hospital. she has Alzheimers & had gotten pneumonia. the doctors have told the family she is too weak to fight it. she will be 90 next month. the doctors & the family have decided to take the IV's out tonight.

gosh it seems like the last while every time i'm on here i have bad news. i'm sorry guys just gotta lot going on around me right now.
