Boy, you fall a day behind with this group and you find yourself about 300 posts behind! Dang!

Came home last night from a long day at the office and ended up going to sleep around 7:30. I've been falling asleep early...and I don't really like it. The past two or three weeks, I've been falling asleep in my chair or in bed between 730 and 830! That's just way too early!

So, I'm going to go read the boards, try to catch up...and th...zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzz zzzzzzz
you only have to miss a couple of hours here to get behind! That is what I love about here, there is always someone to talk too no matter what time of the day.

Another sign of the season today---orange-flavored thin mints. They're the Walgreens house brand, though, not the Haviland mints. They only come out during the holiday season. Last year we bought a bunch and froze some---we're almost finished those, so I'm happy to see them on the shelves again!

Mr. ordered me a silly anniversary gift. He knows I'm a fan of Simon's Cat, so he ordered a plush Simon's Cat. So I'm going to surprise him with a DVD set he wants. I was going to save it for Christmas, but he deserves something nice! I'll give it to him when the toy cat arrives.

Good night and sweet dreams, everyone!
I love when those special Christmas only treats start to show up in the stores! We have a special chocolate store here in town the make the most amazing hand pulled candy canes.
It is so great to hear about couples who love to surprise each other, shows how much they love and care for each other. You are so blessed.

I am so tired, and I know I won't finish reading all the posts tonight. I wanted to drop in and tell you that Wal-mart employees came to our school today with a meat tray, a veggie tray, and cupcakes for teachers. Then we EACH received a $50 gift card!!! How nice was that??? TTYL

that was so nice of them! Teachers deserve to be treated.

Well, this is where it starts -- right here at MMC -- the fun and smile capital of the internet!
And it's because of all of you that its magic works so well.
Be proud.
Be very proud.

Good morning, MMC!

I was woken up early, so I have started getting things sorted out for the day. There is a cookie sheet full of green peppers drying in the oven ~ the scent of peppers is rather strong at the moment.
I do peppers every fall, use a mixture of hot and sweet. When they are all good and dry, put them throught the grinder and they make and amazing spice for dips, chili ect.

Good morning everyone!

'Pines Day is over, which means we are so close to the weekend. Unfortunately, Thursday is my Friday. I'm only working part-time, so I have a four day weekend. I will take advantage of it tomorrow, however. Aside from applying for jobs, I will head to the Rideau Centre in search of "early" signs of Christmas! As I have said before, I am expecting the Bay to have their Christmas displays nearly completed in the third-level catwalk, but we shall see!

It was a nice chilly walk to the bus this morning. The temperature felt like -1c (31f). I was able to walk comfortably with a sweater, however. Lots of people were out in their warm coats and winter attire. It's too early for that, if you ask me, especially for Canadians. Temperatures are supposed to remain in the single digits now until Saturday. No complaints. It's fall!

I am sore. The gym tired me out again yesterday. I was happy to return to doing some heavy deadlifts yesterday. It's a great feeling to know that I have not lost much strength. Good and surprising, really. Tonight, we have hockey at 10pm. A little late, but it is Men's hockey, so we have the later schedule. At least it's not 11 pm. We're gunning for our first win tonight. We lost our first game and then our second game. Each by a goal. I was not at the second game due to my knee. Hopefully I can make a difference tonight!

Well, I should get back to work. I have a few things on my desk that must be attended to. Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone. The Christmas Season is nearly a month away... Another reason to look forward to the weekend!
chilly here this morning too, needed mitts on when I went to pick up my daughter. Did you hear they had snow in Dundalk last night?
Keep up with the workouts, it will get better.
Have a great day at work!

Thursday hello, BTW :-)

I love when those special Christmas only treats start to show up in the stores! We have a special chocolate store here in town the make the most amazing hand pulled candy canes.

Yesterday evening I also saw peppermint sticks that were labeled as "cocoa stirrers." I never saw them before, but they look like the porous type of peppermint stick rather than the hard, shiny kind. Some people like to stick them into oranges or lemons and suck the juice out through the peppermint stick.

It is so great to hear about couples who love to surprise each other, shows how much they love and care for each other. You are so blessed.

We are SO blessed to have the feelings we do for each other. Not to brag, but ... the little nice things others do for their spouses on anniversaries and Valentine's Day, we do throughout the year. So we don't make much of a fuss about Valentine's Day or anniversaries.

Good morning, MMC!

They have calmed down and are now both sleeping, as is Bo. He climbed up the stairs himself this morning ~ I guess it was too cold for him when he was outside. I'm glad he was able to climb, but I really don't want him doing that without someone by him ~ it is so easy for him to take a tumble and I don't want him to get hurt. I am working from home today ~ going to log in and see if any work was sent for me to do and then I have a lot of stuff to take care of for the store. Found some good deals at a couple of estate sales yesterday and I have to find a place to store three boxes of glassware and Christmas items.

Take care, everyone, and have a most MERRY day!

Glad bo is ok you cant never watch them enough. you worry about them when they are just not 100% good for you getting good deals we all need them now and again i wood love estate sales they have to be fun

Of course Scooby gets the sofa!!! You sound just like me!

As I tell everyone, "This house belongs to my fur children, they are just nice enough to let me live here". :D

My son is the same as me too. I will go in his room and see our cat standing on his desk blocking his monitor. My son will not move him at all and let him block it and then baby him. He just waits until he moves on his own then continues with computer stuff afterward. LOL!

I think your right there about the house they think they own it . my parrot jake he has 3 keys bitten of my laptop , but i only care a wee bit lol

@Meceka: Yes, we are very happy that my dad is fine. In the last couple of years there was a flood around here at least once a year. It is normal when you live in a mountain country. :-) But I am grateful we live up on a hill therefore we will never have water inside the house.

@Christmasstar: Wow you already have frost? That is so cool. I am afraid we have to wait till November or December until we will have frost here.

Finally after four working days of very very slow internet servers, they solved the problem! It is so great to be able to do your work without lagging sytems.

Here the weather is still around 59-60 fahrenheit (14-16 Grad), which is still pretty warm. I'm waiting impatiently for the day when it is so cold I can wear my thick hoodies (bought in Carmel, CA)!

I'm hoping to find all of the spoons that CAH has hid while she was doing my dishes. I use to have like 30 of them and now I'm down to 20. I think she might be throwing them away so she doesn't have to wash them.

I was going to return them. I made everyone chocolate covered spoons to stir into their drinks at The Pines next week!

good idea, I will do that, thanks!
To note who has already made a suggestion here should post on that thread as well for all to see. Made, Xmas365, Caninemom, I love their ideas!

Oh no! They don't think they own it, they really do own it!
