today...Kandice has her first sick day off school....she has not been feeling well the whole of last week...I will rather keep her home from school for two days now...instead putting her to school and she will be sick for an entire week after that.........the good thing for Kandice.......her teacher is sick too (not so nice for the teacher)....so there will be an substitute teacher...and Kandice won´t miss too much in school
At the moment I am not sure if I will go to the party, I am not feeling very well. Guess I will get the flu.
Off to the airport in an hour, my daughter is having her first lesson in the plane. She is so nervous, this is something she has wanted to do since she was 15 years old.
My stomach was bothering me yesterday and last night and now it's bothering me today. This is not good!!! I go away in a couple of days so I cannot afford to be sick or having any kind of stomach problems.
That is an issue I would welcome !!
yes amazing how close Christmas is!
A halloween weding...is she doing a halloween theme?
Monday hello ...Not a very good day. On top of the death in the family, our shiny new cable Internet that was installed Saturday has broken down twice already, and has scrambled one of the channels in our TV package. In the middle of Mr.'s family trying to stay in touch as arrangements are made. A cable guy is supposed to come out tomorrow to see if it's our signal or the brand-new cable modem they installed Saturday. They'd better fix it---I spent Saturday evening and most of yesterday moving our websites, updating our email address on our online accounts, and sending out emails about out new email address.
Petty complaints, I know. But all rolled together, they have me frazzled. I hope things settle down soon.
Thanks for all your prayers and good wishes. FIL's last words were: "Tough old man." We think he slipped away while sleep. Mr.'s brother went to give him his medication, and he was gone.
Wow, you guys did some good eating over the weekend! We woke up to rain here in northern California. It had cooled off considerably yesterday, so the weekend ended pleasantly. I can't remember if I told you that we had wonderful food this weekend: barbecued chicken with not too much bbq sauce, baked beans, cole slaw, (Hubby had the bbq ribs.) on Friday night; prime rib with all the trimmings on Saturday night; brunch on Sunday with macaroni salad, tortellini salad, Ceasar salad, spinach salad with raspberry dressing and candied walnuts, four different jello salads, fresh fruit chunks, eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, two different egg casseroles, prime rib, fresh crab, biscuits and gravy, omelets fixed any way you chose, waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and four kinds of dessert. Can you believe the brunch was only $13? The weekend was in honor of the visit of the state president of the Elks. The photographer is a friend of ours so he asked us to be in a few shots with the "big shots"! Hubby is pretty high up, too, but it is always nice to meet new people and to be acknowledged for the work you do. I met quite a few new people at the dinner on Friday night. One couple was from Springfield, VA. After they were introduced, I went over to their table to tell them that I used to live in Fredricksburg and Quantico. Lo and behold, she was just a few more months out than I from breast cancer treatment! Her hair was so cute, short but curly. We talked for a long time. Then a gentleman came up and wanted to talk to me because his wife has cancer, and he wanted to know some of the things to expect. Then another lady came up to discuss her treatments. It is amazing at how cancer affects so many lives. I did have a scare yesterday and will get it checked out today: I found a lump of some kind on my left, bottom rib. I happened to rub in that area and discovered it. I am "hoping" it is scar tissue since in it near the incision site of the mastectomy. Wish me luck! TTYL
shellliegirl- i've thought about it & yes i agree w/ seawaters, i really like the 1st costume for Halloween! they're all very cool though.
good a.m. y'all!!!: how's everyone?
hubby just left a bit ago for the airport & he will be back on Friday.
guess i'll just hang out here w/ y'all, hehehe!
my doc had suggested i go to a person who tests adrenals & hormones. i called him on friday & was suppose to go today. i talked it over w/ hubby. the man did tell me it's not covered by insurance & can be expensive. i have to call him in a bit because i won't be able to do it. i wish insurance covered alternative meds. i guess they have to cut off some where though.
i'm off today & i'm thrilled. i don't seem to enjoy it like i once did. too many chiefs & not enough indians. (i do not want to offend anyone) it seems each person has their own ideas & expect all to do things their way. that's how it is w/ anything i think.
i think i will do some more stuff today that we seem to have put off for a while. i know in the end it is for our Christmas so i don't mind @ all.QUOTE]
