been watching Tarzan with kandice and jones...now getting ready to leave the house in the wintery cold weather...to go shopping...today is Verkaufsoffener Sonntag...which means that the stores will be open on this Sunday...so we will go and check out for bargains...going to drink a big glass of water now and then get dressed and head out into the beayutiful weather.......happy sunday!!!!!

Thank you all for your prayers!

Mom did have a mini stroke. She has very high blood pressure for which she is now on medication for. She is home now and feeling better. Arrangements are being made for her to go to the stroke clinic for a treatment plan.
I am tired, thinking of having a nap, but most likely will just wait or I will not be able to sleep later.

hey y'all! hope everyone's weekend is going well.
my Daddy is taking his meds & doing what the doc said so I sure hope he gets better fast!
we had a wonderful time @ my aunt & uncle's house today. alot of family came & some peeps from church. we laughed & talked & laughed some more......
my son, Will, decided to go out tonight w/ some friends for a Halloween party. HE IS MADEA!!!!!!! I remind y'all he is 6' 5" & about 310 lbs. when my daughter comes home from her 2nd home (my rents) I'm gonna have her help me post pics. y'all he gotta wig, dress, white nylons, glasses, chest apparel, the whole 9 yards. I did his makeup, nails, filled in his back side, & trimmed his wig to look like Madea's.
we went to my rents to show Mawmaw & Pawpaw & everyone else there. they got the biggest laugh out of him. then we went back to my aunt's to borrow a necklace & some peeps were still there & they all got there phones & took pics of him & he did his imitation of Madea.
on our way home he decided to stop in @ the grocery store he works @ & OMGoodness it was a hoot! customers stopped & looked twice his co-workers took pics of him. so so so funny! now he's waiting on his friends to pick him up for the night.
my son, Seth, was gonna go & had gotten a scary costume but he has been feeling bad all day & he thought he may get someone else sick so he's hanging out w/ us. he's really bummed about it too, i hate that for him.

Glad your dad is pcking up . sounds like you have a good laugh with the dressing up. we all need a laugh in this world

I've been up since 4:45 because princess woke me up because she absolutely HAD to go outside at that moment. Anyway, I've since eaten breakfast, taken my morning pills and showered. I *may* go to Target later because cabin fever might settle in if I stay inside today too.

It's colder today than it has been lately. Right now, it's 56 degrees with wind gusts going over 10 mph. Hello sweater weather!!! I am SO tempted to drag out my Christmas tree and start decorating LOL!!

Our neighborhood (soon to be hit by Sandy), is getting a little wild tonight. The people two streets down are having their annual outdoor Halloween party. Their band this year is an improvement over those in past years, but they are also very loud. So is everyone else around here for some reason. There were fireworks all over the place earlier, and someone else on another street had a party this afternoon. There is still somebody down by the creek setting off 'blockbuster' fireworks every now and then. Between them and the band, I think I'm glad I don't have to get up for church tomorrow. The Church Council decided that they would preempt anyone trying to come to Church in high winds and heavy rain. That, and it's always the elderly congregants that feel obligated to come to church no matter what the weather. Poor old folks! Tomorrow's Reformation Sunday, too, which is a big deal in the Lutheran church. Ah well, I guess I'll just sing "A Mighty Fortress" and protest something from home.

Wow, it's getting really windy here already. I'm glad I took my outside Halloween stuff down today. All of you folks on the east coast take care!

I had to look up who this MADEA was, never heard of her, you will have to post a picture of him now, I would love to see this!

thank you star! Madea was created by a man named Tyler Perry, a good ole Georgia boy. he started out writing & starring in plays as Madea. "her" plays were so successful that there became movies. "diary of a mad black woman", "Madea goes to jail", & in theaters now, "madea's witness protection". the issues in most of his movies are very strong in nature. madea is extremely funny, in my opinion, & uses the comic relief to reach everyone w/ the subject matter. Tyler Perry is also a Christian man which means alot to me personally. he is African American & lots of the actors in his movies are as well & SADLY to some people (especially in the south) that automatically tunes them off. star you must find 1 of his movies & watch it. some, as i said before, are more tragic than others & in some he plays a bigger role than others. Tyler Perry is also in a new movie not as Madea but a man. the role is serious & is a thriller, "????? Cross". i will tell you there is usually mild profanity in some of the Madea movies so heads up. i hope this helps explain Madea for you.

i can just see Hermoine now! that sweet little face! Will is working alot so it's hard for me to keep a check on his cough. as much as i can i do though. he says he feels good & the cough is mild. ya' know how seasonal allergies are too so it could really be just that. i pray it is. thank you for being concerned about him. you are a gift to me!

Off to watch TV with Hubby. We just got back from Red Lobster where we met friends to enjoy their shrimp dinner. I bought some scrapbooking Halloween stuff and I want to go "play." TTYL

i got my daughter the scrapbooking stuff last Christmas & she had filled it w/in a few weeks. i think that's an idea for this year also. she really enjoys it.

Good morning, MMC family! Happy Sunday! How are you all? All is well here. It's been raining here off and on - the rain is supposed to be steady, I think tonight, then it's supposed to rain all the way through Saturday off and on. It's supposed to really rain Monday/Tuesday with flood warnings and wind warnings - over 50 Mphs. We shall see!

Not too much going on here today. DH is working, so it's just the kids and I. I think we're just going to hang out and relax. We were invited the other day to a Halloween party for the kids, but with my cold and it raining, I think we'll just stay in and cuddle. I'll probably throw something in the crockpot for dinner as well.

What is everyone else up to today?

Good morning! I just got back from the grocery store down the street to get some coke's or pepsi and I picked the coke's since they had the bears' on them...I wonder if they are the 2012 Christmas ones...anyway it was beautiful outside..sunny and 57F with wind blowing..now this is fall finally! Now I am ready to see some leaves change and watch halloween movies the next 2 days...I have outpatient surgery first thing in the morning I should be over that in a few days,then I have the next 2 weeks off work..it does not get any better than that! Have a great sunday everyone!! I hope everyone on the east coast stays safe...and some of you may get y0our first snow today!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a windy day here with winds of 15 to 20 mph. Not as bad as the east coast so I won't complain. I think today is just going to be a lounge around and watch tv type of day. I might drag myself into the kitchen to do a little baking too. Chocolate cake sounds really good. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
