Haven't been on in a while and don't have much time to post now.

Still on just now, but it went off for about a minute around 3:45. The worst part of the storm is supposed to be from now through the evening.

The rain hasn't been to bad but the wind has been whipping around pretty badly our trees are swaying to and fro.

Lots of wind lots a rain LOTS of flooding.. but all is well in SE VA..

I just realized I have never gone through a hurricane/tropical storm at night. This will be freaky, not being able to see whats going on outside.
Sustained winds of 20mph, gusts up to 40mph. Rain coming down, the worst of it shall be from now until midnight.

thinking of and praying for all my MMC family that may be effected by hurricane sandy, will be online to check if everyone is safe as much as i can.

movies 24 turns into christmas 24 next week in the UK! i'm so excited, non stop christmas films until january.

next week, startbucks and costa coffee will be bringing out their festive flavours... life is good!

Hi everyone! I have not been on here in a week!!! I have been very busy but we have been having fun! It's that time of year when we have lots of family things going on and will be busy from now until after Christmas.

Friday we went to the kids Halloween School Carnival, Saturday we went to Six Flags with my mom, daughter, grandkids and Wayne. My 6 year old grandson is brave this year and riding the coasters (he wouldn't in the past) but only wants to sit next to Grandpa Wayne, I guess he feels safe with him. My 3 year old granddaughter wants to ride EVERYTHING but she is not tall enough for the big coasters. My 8 year old grandson is riding all the big coasters and loves them. Sunday was church and work.

I miss you all and praying for those on the east coast. I am not sure if I can catch up on all the post from the week and hope I haven't missed any big news. Praying for all those who are ill or on hard times.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold windy day here in Central Indy. Right now we have sustained winds around 15 mph but that is supposed to increase to over 30 this evening and tomorrow with gusts to over 60. It's kind of crazy to think this is all from a hurricane that is still a couple of hunderd miles off the east coast. Stay Safe everyone and try to have a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening,

It was 1 year ago tonight we had that freak October snowstorm, and now today, Sandy is here. I worked until 3pm drove home there was a tree down across the road, the State of Connecticut shut down all of there major highways. The rain hasn't been to bad but the wind has been whipping around pretty badly our trees are swaying to and fro. Some branches have fallen off of our two large maple trees, we worry about those trees falling the most. I hope all of you and your loved ones are safe, I will be on now and then if the power holds up.

Haven't been on in a while and don't have much time to post now. We lost all power about an hour ago so I am trying to not use my phone much since we have no way of charging it. But I wanted to update y'all and hope everyone else in Sandy's path is not as bad off as we are. The worst is supposed to hit us tonight and tomorrow (I'm located right where the storm will be hitting tomorrow at 8am according to all the weather maps).

Hey everyone. Just wanted to check in quickly. Right now, it's raining, but not too hard. That will come tonight, while I'm at work. We're into the 50 or so mph winds - which is making the lights flicker - hoping the power doesn't go out, but that typically happens here, so we're prepared.

I have to work tonight, so I just wanted to check in to let everyone know all is still okay here. We haven't even got the "eye" of the storm yet. That is supposed around midnight or so. Praying for all of you. God Bless and I will try to check back tomorrow, to check progress on the rest of you. I have my phone charged, so I can check there as well, but I want to keep my phone charged as well for emergencies.

2.2 million people now without power. That shot up awful quick.

We haven't heard from judesmama in a while. Hopefully her pear tree is holding on.
