Praying for you, Mouse, Bo, Palmer and all your babies and your property xoxo ((Hugs)) xo

Aw, thank you, CM3. I am so worried about the animals outside ~ my fur kids are in safe areas, but the deer and the other animals have to contend with falling branches and trees.

DH just came in and told me a half of a house just collapsed here in the city and lots of people are already without power. It's really getting bad. I'm secretly glad he is home tonight and not out in this!

Oh how awful! I am so glad DH is home. I hope you are all okay and that you make it home safe from work!!!

Xmas, on the news today they said trees are more flexible than we realize---so they can sway quite a bit without breaking, so don't be too alarmed when you see the trees swaying. More easily said than done, though!

That is good to know!

You should how far some were swaying in the woods next to our house. WOW! I worry about the 2 maples most because they are old and dying, the tops no longer grow leaves.
Almost 200,000 without power in Massachusetts, only about 300 in my town right now. I think most are in the Berkshires.

I know what you mean, xmas. It is a very scary sight to see trees swaying. Our black walnut trees were bending over, almost in half and they are still standing.

Wow, lots of scary weather out there tonight! Haven't heard from my brother in Cape Cod since this morning. Hoping all are safe there! Keeping you all in my prayers!!! Stay safe everybody!!

Oh - that cute little kitten that showed up at our trailer at the lake - it was still there after work tonight. It is now in our garage (and it's getting some in house time too) - and I found a home for it. It is going to be a farm cat at our friends small farm. It will have food & shelter...and mice to chase! They named her "Miller"

Hope you are all having a good night, inspite of the storm!

I will keep your brother and his family in my prayers, Holiday. So glad you found the kitten a home. Stay safe!

Just letting you know I made it home safely. We were the last plane to the city - then they cancelled all of the flights after ours. Thanks for your prayers. It is getting really bad here, schools are canceled already (not my college, of course) and the worst is coming overnight. Stay safe, everyone!

I'm glad you made it home safe, jennifer! Take care!!

My doctor wrote a letter for me to be off work until school starts up after Christmas, January 7th. The exhaustion from radiation caught up with me. I had a hard time getting through today. In addition, I lost 10 pounds this week. I can afford to lose the weight, but just not that fast. Take care, everyone.

I'm glad you are taking the time off as now you will be able to rest as required. Take care, Seawaters! {{{HUGS}}}

Good morning, MMC!

I hope everyone is okay and starts checking in soon! My prayers are with all of you!!!

I have been up since 5 ~ couldn't sleep very well and when I did, my anxiety manifested in strange dreams. It is still very windy out and it sounds like it is sleeting. Still too dark out to see what damage has been done.

Take care, everyone!!!

Good Morning MMC!

Checking in quick to see who is back on and how the night went.
To dark here to yet see what damage has been done. Still very windy here.
Have to take mom for blood tests, will check in later this morning again.

Good Morning, my Haunted Halloween Friends!

Ah! Halloween Eve.
(Can that mean anything but that we are clearly nearing the Season?)
Well, just look at the spooky statistics:

Days to the Season: 14 (Two weeks from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 56 (Eight weeks from today!)
Days to Halloween: 1 (TOMORROW!!)
Frightening -- truly frightening.

Wow!
The edges of Sandy!
Wind and off-and-on again rain all day here yesterday.
Leaves and small branches everywhere. Quite a clean up job is pending!
Should hopefully start tapering off today although it's still nasty out right now.
We read 43 degrees here, currently.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks.
And DON'T FORGET. Carl's big Halloween bash is tomorrow evening!!

oh sweety, i know you wouldn't have wanted this but i agree w/ your doc & the others here, you need time off. i could tell you were trying to hold out but....

like you said way back, you already have all of your planner done for your classroom so the sub they bring in will be well prepared. you're such a good person, always thinking of the others in your life.
now is time for you to rest, heal, & regain your strength. may i ask, how long are you scheduled to take radiation treatments? i am praying for you my friend. may God bless you, especially now.

good morning y'all! :hi:

i've been glued to the tv since waking up this morning.

has anyone heard from lauriebear? God be w/ her & her family.

i hope this finds everyone safe this morning. i am praying all are able to get word to us they are ok.

i took my Mama to her lung doc yesterday. i wasable to ask questions & got good info. not sure how to spell it but she has bron-chactus? she has scaring in the bottom of her lungs which causes her to cough often. not curable but treatable. as long as she stays on top of things & see's her doc regularly all should be ok. it does make her more susseptible (can't spell) to lung related illnesses.

even though my Daddy has pneumonia he went on to a doc appt. he had @ the V.A. they had done blood work a couple weeks ago & he went to get results. a good friend of his went w/ him. he explained to them what he has & they checked him out & agreed & gave him an inhaler to use also. Daddy is feeling better but still has a long way to go to be his old self again. he will just have to be patient or i'll have to hawg tie him.

i'm off today. boss said no orders there so i don't mind. i think i may do some more stuff around the house to get ready for this weekend. we put our Christmas decorations up & out this weekend. yaay!

talk to y'all later!:-P

Morning all. Finally after six weeks we got our broadband sorted. Looking through some posts briefly and my thoughs are with some fellow members who are having a rought time at present. Hopefully brighter and better times ahead for all.

Great to hear that NC is OK, Crown. All the best to those that are still dealing with Sandy in the northeast!

Good Morning !!

I could not sleep either ......That wind is something else and like with you, it is still going on here !! The pups had to go out a couple of times last night when it was at its worst and I went with them of course. That way if they got hit by a branch or something I could save them......Hope you didn't get any damage xoxoox
