My grandpa is not doing well. He wouldn't go to the hospital to get checked, even the police couldn't get him there. We were worried about internal bleeding, but we are pretty sure he'd be having some serious side effects or symptoms by now. His chest is very, very sore from the seat belt and the airbag. We have been trying to visit him constantly, but he doesn't want company. He can barely get up from his seat because it hurts his chest too much to move. He says it is just soreness and not any pain. I don't know what to do! I feel so bad that he is in pain. Especially with his age, I think it is going to take quite some time to recover. He said if he doesn't feel any better by the end of the week that he'll go to the doctor. All of this on top of the storm is really no picnic!

Dickens read by a Dickens descendant would be cool to hear ~ enjoy!

Here's a description (click the link). Amazon and iTunes have the same download for only $4.95. For that price, I might just go for it!

sounds like your Mr. is as much into Christmas as we are here!

Mr. isn't as year-round as I am, and he doesn't like to see the tree up before December, but like me, he's all for getting the "work" part of Christmas (making gifts, buying gifts, wrapping, packaging, mailing) done early so we can enjoy the season!

We did our usual Halloween dinner at Friendly's tonight, since we are heading to my grandparents house for trick or treating tomorrow night since it didn't get postponed there. So the boys get 2 nights of trick or treating instead of 1, which I guess makes up for last year. Then we went back to Kmart to pick up a couple more things, and who am I kidding, look at the Christmas stuff again. cheesy There is so many decorations I want. The boys were playing with the animated things and wearing the hats that light up and make music.
I hope you all are enjoying your evening.

Ohhhh, this is how I felt tonight!!!

Good Tuesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's chilly down south, and windy, but the sun is shining. I've been trying to wash the house for a couple days now...Nancy wants it clean for trick-or-treating visitors...but Sandy keeps the wind blowing so hard, I can't spray the soap on the house. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My best friend, cousin, and keyboard player, Ed, called last night to say that our band has a gig...! It's been almost a year since we've played anywhere. Everyone got so busy with real life, we didn't have time for the band. But after a year, we're all missing it. Heck, our lead guitar player lives in Birmingham and our bass player is moving to Atlanta, but they both want to play. I'm ready!

I hope everyone is faring well after the storm.

I hope y'all have a great day!

Sounds like a fun "reunion" ENJOY!!!

Good evening from Scotland! I had a field trip to Whitelee windfarm today with other environmentalists (it's time for me 'announce' that I'm studying Environmental Stewardship ^^ ). It was great experience! A way more interesting than attending a lecture. A lot of new things have been found out about wind energy and the windfarm itself. It was very nice to visit Europe's largest windfarm. :] Although I must admit we weren't very lucky with the weather. It was raining and SO windy. Although it makes sense, doesn't it? Trip to wind farm, windy weather... I suggested for the lecturer to go to solar panel park next time so we will definitely have a sunny and warm day. ^^ I uploaded some pictures to share: outside next to the one of wind turbines ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/33/whiteleewindfarm.png/ ) and few pictures of the visitor centre ( http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/37/1007578r.jpg/ ; http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/1007579j.jpg/ ). I'm off to bed because I'm cold, as always, and I'm pretty tired because of spending so much time walking in the fresh air today. ^^ Take care of yourself guys and nighty night!

it is hard, but sometimes all you can do is step back and respect thier right to refuse treatment. Praying he heals quickly

Sounds like he may have some bruised or cracked ribs. Praying he feels better soon.

It sounds like a collapsed lung? My grandfather had a collapsed lung when he was about 84. He actually drove from Florida all the way back to Sault Ste. Marie with it. Obviously, he also refused medical treatment for a while, but he was quite glad that he went in a few days later.

Good luck to your grandfather. I hope he goes in shortly. It's for the best of everyone.

Good evening, Christmas family

Once again it is only 9:14 p.m. and I am exhausted. I think all of the anxiety about the storm is what got me. Now that the storm has passed I am relaxed again.....I feel so, so bad for all those who lost their loved ones and for the folks who died as a result of Sandy. I will continue to pray for the whole situation...xo

Jennifer - I am so sorry your grandpa is not feeling well. I know he can be stubborn but don't let up on him. My mother was plenty stubborn but If I felt she needed to see a doc, I kept at her until she did !! But then you know your grandpa .......You will be able to know what works xo I will keep him in my prayers xoxo

We took Hermione to the doctor today. The doc could not find what is wrong but he said the area that is swollen connects to a tooth. He did not see anything wrong with the tooth, no soreness or openings and Hermione did not react at all with examination of that tooth. I am to give her antibiotcs for a week and then see what happens.....He also put her on an anxiolytic or anti-anxiety drug. She really needs this. She is so afraid of everything...!! xo

Seawaters, Jennifer, Christmasstar, Solice, I am praying for you and yours xoxo

I switched my signature today from Halloween to Christmas !! I couldn't find a nice Thanksgiving one so ..On to Christmas !!!

hope your precious fur baby recovers quickly!
Love your new signature.

Well, found out today that we have to tell mom she cannot travel to the states to visit my sister in Vermont anymore. No insurance company will have her now that she had this mini stoke. She will be so sad as going there several times a year for a month at a time is something she so enjoys and looks forward too.
We are still looking into options, but it does not look good. It breaks my heart to have to tell her this. She was planning to go there for your Thanksgiving.

Early start tomorrow, mom is going to the stroke prevention clinic. I have a meeting at work in the afternoon. And it is halloween, so have to get some goodies for the kids.

I pray you are all ok.... Ihave been MIA again... my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer... life has been full off doctors and tests and more to come ;(

I hope Sandy missed you all!

It could be broken ribs. Those things hurt like the Dickens (sorry, MC), and there is really not too much, other than medication, that you can do. Thinking of him and praying for a speedy recovery.

Hey gang! HOpe you are all doing good! Good to see that everyone is checking in and ok...praying for those who haven't checked in...

Long day of work today...got in around 630 am and got home around 8 pm. It's ok though...it was very productive. Hanging out with the wife watching Dancing with the Stars on DVD...my Cowboy Emmitt Smith is still in the competition....so I'm happy for another week...as long as they keep him I can keep watching...after that...I'm done....

Told my wife that we had 8 weeks to Christmas....I love it when her face just lights up...she was looking at the 25 Days to Christmas schedule last night and it was almost funny how she would get excited about certain nights...

Getting kinda excited about this weekend....going to decorate the inside of the house because in ten days........

IT'S CHRISTMAS TREE NIGHT!

Love both of these siggies!!!
