Sounds a lot like RJD!!!

Good Morning, Friends of Every Holiday Persuasion in general and the Christmas Holiday in particular!

Speaking of particularity, let's be quite particular and clear about this:
Days to the Season: 7 (ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 49 (Seven weeks from today!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 16 (Two weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days until the Special posts begin: TWO!!
(Now I find those statistics particularly amazing, don't you?)

A tad warmer here yesterday and we avoided the rain.
May not be so lucky today and tomorrow.
I read a chilly 37 degrees here currently in the capital city.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, MMC'ers!

I feel the same way, MerryMistletoe. There's no place like home!!!

good a.m. y'all!:hi:

how's it?

hubby came home from work last night w/ more lights for outside to finish the 1 front side of the house. he needed a few more icicles & 1 more net of lights. i think he's as excited as i am this year. it's nice not being the only 1!

ya' know guys...y'all really do feel like family to me. as i was reading the posts this morning & read some of the difficulties some are having, i got an ache in the pit of my stomach. it's a feeling i can only describe as the same i have if something goes wrong here @ home. I know some faces, others i have no idea, but it doesn't matter, you are still family. i find myself referring to this site & y'all numerous times throughout the day to everyone i am around. thanks for that guys!

have a great day!:yahoo:

Well I'm back from voting. I wrote Bradmac in for City Council and BallCoach in for School Board President. So both of you should be expecting a call tonight!!

I've seen some the of the lines at the polling places here in Peoria. So happy I voted early. Happy Election day!

I feel the same way, Ryan. Being able to rely on prayer and the positive feelings that come from that is so rewarding. It really does help!

Hello everyone. I noticed this morning that some folks are having some medical issues so I'll be praying for you all! Seems like too much of that going around recently. I was called up to the hospital over the weekend by a lady in my congregation. Her best friend's son was in a horrible auto accident and they were about to remove the life support. They don't have a church, so they asked if someone would just be willing to pray with them. Seeing a situation like that makes me thank God for everything I have and realize just how fragile life can be.
Okay...didn't mean to be depressing...but know I'm praying for all of you who might be struggling with things right now.

If you're in the United States, remember to go vote today! Have a great Tuesday. One week until the Season!

LOL... Hmmm, I noticed my dog Snickers wasn't on the list either, when I told her she was very upset... She gave away SOOO many doggies kisses and lean in rubs all for no notice!!! LOL I gave her some carrots this seemed to appease her greatly!!!

Anyway, I voted and now I need to grab a bite never took lunch today, I am just grabbing a slice of pizza today, too hectic. Still no lights at home, but we have heat from the potbelly stove, thank goodness (we almost had that removed 2 years ago - whew glad we didn't now!!!) It is very ""CHRISTMASY day today" I feel like wrapping a gift or two wooo hooooo

Thinking of you, Brent, as you face this time in your life. What a bummer!!!

Good morning everyone!

Cold seems to be the theme across the continent today. It was about -5c (22f) on my walk to the bus. We should only reach a high of about 3c (37f). A few degrees below normal. Still no snow in the (extended) forecast though. The days with precipitation appear to be the warmer days when we reach double digits/lower 50s. It's still the beginning of November though. The snow doesn't usually settle until mid-December.

For some reason, I was exhausted last night. I fell asleep on the couch for about 30 minutes at 9:30. Then, I was off to bed just after 10:30. I took last week (sans Saturday) off from the gym, so I think my body wasn't ready to expend all that energy just yet. It was a good workout, however. I am still getting my knee back to 100%. It took a bit of a hit while I was playing on it in Florida. Right now, though, it feels better than it did before I went down. So, I'm thinking another two weeks and I will be able to return to my regular gym routine. I can't wait for that. The squats, deadlifts, cleans, etc. are taunting me each time I go into the gym!

In exactly a week's time, we will all be rejoicing in the Christmas Season. It will be a wonderful experience to say the most magical and heartfelt phrase, once again. The special posts will certainly add some extra magic as we head down the homestretch into the Season.

Tonight is election night in the US. And even Canadians will be tuning in to see what happens. I used to hate politics. I still do. Most of all, I hate politicians. However, I will say good luck to all those who are voting down south today. Make your voice heard and make sure that you have full confidence in your candidate.

I must return to work now. It is my final day here. I have nothing lined up quite yet for the upcoming weeks. Those 100 applications/resumes I have sent in over the past couple months must have all been tossed to the wayside. It is just sad because they want to keep me, but have no option to do so. Thank you, Conservative Party of Canada! Please, continue to raise your own salaries and make it impossible for the young professionals/recent graduates to start a career.

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! May you Christmas continue to "blossom" where you are!

I was able to pick up Arthur Christmas at the Redbox, so now we have our movie for tonight, since it will be political overdose today. I showed JP how to vote and explained to him how important it truly is, and when he turns 18 one of the first things he should do is register to vote. I don't want him to be like my father who is proud of the fact he has never voted in his life, and he is in his 60's. I have voted in nearly every election I could since I was 18.

It's good to hear that you showed JP how to vote. I wish more people would do this! There were 2 parents with kids at our Polling place this morning, and both took their kids to the booth with them. I think if more families made voting a family experience, we'd have better turnouts. The voting judges were very encouraging to the parents, and told the kids how important voting is.

Afternoon MMC,

I hope everyone is well, very cold here today, starting to feel like Christmas is just around the corner!

Hope everyone is America gets the president they want!

Spirit
Haha! That's not very likely, is it?

I greatly appreciate your vote!

I don't think much of politics myself, but I insist on going to vote so I can make my opinions known. Hey, if I'm not going to vote, I can't complain later, right? I'm with you on that salary-raising complaint. No one should be able to set their own salary unless they have their own business. I'm working to support my family, not politicians.

And good luck with your resumes and applications. I was in your situation 21 years ago, and it turned out to be a godsend. I got a nicer job in a much better environment, and no layoffs.

I made a BIG boo-boo! It was Holiday who came up with the Calvin Coolidge quote. Sorry about that!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I totally understand the "no vehicle payment thing" but ahhh - it's the American way, right?! Lol! Enjoy the new ride!!!

Hoping & praying for an easy "fix" for Hermione!!! Poor baby!

Again - good luck on your job search!
Yes, big day in the US! Such an important election - I have never been so interested in politics either! So get out there & vote all you Americans! "We The People" must be heard!

My Dad has to go on Lovenox whenever he has a dental procedure or any procedure that might involve loss of blood. He goes off his coumadin, on to lovenox & then back to coumadin after the procedure! I hope all goes very well for your Dad!!!

I greatly appreciate your vote!

Sweet!!! Then I can stop driving on the wrong side of the road to dodge all of the pot holes.

There you go again being funny!!!
Nothing like a little myocardial infarction to stimulate some humor!

And the impetus for weight loss!

I have felt that way for a long time.

It seems like a regular occurrence for me. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I agree with your statement. I used to believe that, by voting, you are supporting hypocrisy... as politicians are some of the best liars and promise-breakers in the world.

I'm hoping for a similar outcome. I really hope it works out here! Thanks you, MB!! :)
