good evening y'all! i hope today was good for everyone, after all it was the kick off to our glorious Christmas 2012 season.

on my way home i stopped by the grocery store to pick up cookie dough ( daughter had asked for) & some things for thanksgiving. I FORGOT THE COOKIE DOUGH!!!! argh, i had to go back & get it.oh well.

i am very tired tonight. work was pretty busy.

snowflake asked me to tell everyone she is good. very busy packing, studying for her real estate course, & looking for a new place in Wisconsin. as a matter of fact, i believe she is there now looking @ a few places. keep her & her family in your prayers that they find a place they really like w/ room for Harlowe to play some. she has quite a bit on her plate right now.

i'm headed to bed now. good night & sweet dreams!!!!!zzzzzzz:!!

We just bought the Dean Martin Christmas Show DVD last night, and watched it before we went to bed. You might want to get it---it's a winner! We thoroughly enjoyed it.

I just saw that on sale at Wal Mart for $10 and thought about getting it. I think on your recommendation I'll pick it up tomorrow. Haven't seen Dean in anything I didn't like, and I love Christmas...so putting the two together can't be bad. I love his Christmas songs...too many good ones to even pick a favorite. Thanks for the video suggestion!

Just back from radiation and not feeling too good, so I am going to rest for a while. TTYL

Walmart is where we got our copy. It's Dino's 1968 show, and he's in fine form---his guests are Bob Newhart, Dennis Weaver, and Dom DeLuise, and at the end there are numerous cameos. Good music, good sketches, ad libs and crackups ... Good stuff! We thought we spotted a very young Melissa Gilbert as one of the children.

Ok I have gone as far as I could go today, almost all Christmas all day. Back to turkey h*#! tomorrow.

Good night everyone.

:wiggy:

Home from work, fingers on the right keys now so I make sense.....It was a slow night at work so I got lots of cleaning done.
There was a rumour going around that I was offered the job of manager, when I stopped laughing I quickly started a new one, I as buying the place!! LOL, not really. But I did start the job of squashing that one. All I did was ask what was required to be a manager and after finding out quickly concluded it was not for me.

But, now I am tired and going to relax upstairs.

Hello everyone!
It's 12:30am so I'm just relaxing in bed, listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album (which is absolutely wonderful, might I add!) I'm up to speed with all of my work as of now, but it'll be back to the grind tomorrow.
Have a wonderful night everyone xoxo

Morning all!! Our town have put up the xmas tree and decorations!! went past them last night, they haven't been switched on yet though :-(

Not much happening today, just the usual housework before heading out to work later!

Have a great day!!

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #2

Good Morning, Seasonal Friends.

Did day one of Christmas Season 2012 go well for you?
Did you listen to Christmas music?
Watch a Christmas movie?
Think about gifts?
Take a kid to see Santa?

Well, there's still time left until the big day.
But perhaps not as much time as you might think:
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Under 6 weeks, now!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 8 (ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!)
(I can almost taste the cranberry sauce!)

What a difference a day makes.
Downright chilly yesterday with off and on rain.
Supposed to be sunny today but still with below normal temps.
I read a chattery 35.7 degrees here currently on our back door digital thermometer.

Hey!
Pines Day!
First open house of the Christmas Season!
Carl knows it and has gone all out to decorate the Inn with full Seasonal attire.

But Carl likes to take his holidays in order and has not forgotten Thanksgiving, with lots of indian corn, pilgrim images and horns of plenty as part of the decor.
In fact, a week from today will be the Shispering Pines' big Thanksgiving open house with a complete Turkey feast, all at the very reasonable S.P. rates.
Don't miss it!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!

hey bradmac, this is for Elizabeth!

3 cheers for the best stage actress EVER!!..hip hip hooray!!
hip hip hooray!!
hip hip hooray!!!!
Thanks, I'll let her know! cheesy

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I walked outside a daylight to start my morning walk, and it was cold and drizzling rain. Brrr! I'll have to put off the walking until this afternoon.

Jacob came home from guitar lessons yesterday playing "What Child is This", and playing it well! I can't believe how quickly he's taken to the guitar. He was showing me what he learned while playing my acoustic (I keep it in the living room on a stand), and he broke a string. Grrrr. He has three electric guitars and an acoustic in his room, but he breaks my strings! Well, it was time to change the strings, anyway.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a little bit warmer here in central Indy today with a high of 44 degree's. Not much going on here today. I have some stuff to do around the apartment and then hopefully I can get caught back up on here. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Show Jacob a new trick on his guitar and accidentally break his string, too! That will show him! ....Although I'm sure you'll be the one paying for both strings. Hmm. Maybe that won't work?!

Hello ... :-) I ordered a new artificial tree Saturday, and it's supposed to be delivered today! Don't know if I'll get a good look at it before the weekend, but it's exciting to have it. I haven't had a new tree for a long time, and I haven't had an unlit one for *ahem* a couple of decades, so it'll be a challenge to string the lights.

Not many lights and decorations in the neighborhoods around here, but I smile whenever I see some new ones on the drive home. A lot of people around here are waiting for Thanksgiving before decorating, I guess.

Good morning! Back from taking mom to yet another appointment. Now I have to get the last few things done on my cakes and then can deliver them tomorrow.
Just took some cinnamon rolls out of the oven so it smells good in here.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Christmas Season Day #2, everyone! It is chilly this morning, and I will soon be off to radiation. I have been having a lot of nausea, so I will also go back to the doctor to change meds. If not, then I need to wean myself from these! UGH! TTYL

Good morning everyone,

Quiet morning in here, isn't it? I will assume that everyone is still a little exhausted from celebrating the first official day/night of the Christmas Season. I know I'm a little tired. A day full of Christmas music at work, a visit to the gym and then a Christmas movie before bed. A perfect day. I allowed Kim to pick the movie, and she chose Home Alone. No arguments there. Although she wanted to watch #2, I said we had to do them in order this year. She agreed. We were very happy to watch our recently purchased Blu-Ray version. It looks great!

Today was a chilly walk to the bus. I think it might only be getting colder from here on out... It was a cold -5c (18f) this morning on my walk to the bus. Brr. Still no signs of snow, however. I think I will hold off on my winter coat until it gets a little colder. My sweater is quite warm for now and there isn't any snow in our forecast just yet.

My dad phoned last night and he is apparently coming to visit for the weekend. I'm excited. He had initially planned to come last weekend, but he traveled a lot the previous weekend and wanted to unwind. I don't blame him. I think he drove about 30 hours! Our plans are a little suspect right now considering there is no hockey on TV. We usually watch a game a night when he's here. At least there is football. Maybe we'll go to a movie, too? We'll see...

Well, it's time to go to the 'Pines for the first time this Christmas Season. I'm excited to see Carl's decor. Despite having already celebrated Thanksgiving, I think I can enjoy counting down to a second one for everyone else. It is that delicious, anyway! Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone. But, most of all, Merry Christmas.
