I may be out of line requesting this, so if I am let me know.
My daughter, LittleCS has been going through a really rough time. She lost her job so did not join in the Christmas card exchange this year. She is so sad and I know some bright Christmas cards would really cheer her up. If any of you want to could you send her a card too? You can send it care of me and if I get any I will sneak in when she is not home and put them on her Christmas tree as a surprise.
Thanks in advance.

(((Star))) You are not out of line at all !!! I am glad to send your daughter a card !!!! After all, isnt sharing part of Christmas ?? I hope LittleCS feels better soon........xxoxo

While I was at Toys r Us this morning I found a 12 inch talking plush version of the Santa from Arthur's Christmas and even though I said that I was only going to buy old world or Jim Shore Santa's from here on out, I just couldn't help myself. I mean he was only $1.98 on clearance and my niece's will love playing with him.

Great deal!!!
If they had a talking Grand-Santa for that price, I would have been all over it. I loved him in the movie.

I don't know what's going on with me this year. I am having a very hard time getting into the holiday spirit. I'm not down or depressed or anything like that, just not felling it this year. I am hoping Thanksgiving will kick me into gear, but I am usually well into the spirit of the holidays by this time.:-?

I hope the spirit finds you soon, I'm glad to see you back here.

Good evening,

The most stressful part of my year is over, it is smooth sailing now, frozen turkeys don't sell so well 3 days before turkey day, the only problem is 4 days from now Black Friday is going to ruin my Thanksgiving. :-? The first of my local radio stations made the switch to all Christmas today, living in the east coast megalopolis by the time Christmas Eve gets here we will have 6 different stations playing Christmas almost all non stop. I have to get to bed soon I have to be at work for 6 for my Black Friday Supervisor training class.

Have a great night all.

Good evening, Christmas family

I am glad it is time almost for bed. I am so tired. I must say I will be glad to see the rheumatologist next month. I only hope she can help. The psoratic arthritis seems to be progressing pretty quickly to other joints. Quite a few of my toes are now resembling small sausages and my right thumb joint is also swollen now. I know it is going to be okay eventually. It is just getting to that point.

Right now A Season for Miracles just started on Hallmark and I think I am going to turn in and watch it. Only two more days until Thanksgiving and tree !!!!!!!!

Have a Christmassy evening, dear Christmas family xoxo

Thank you everyone for the kind words and well wishes concerning my lack of holiday spirit. I am sure I will be fine. I actually felt a little bit creep in as I drove to work today while I listened to the radio station playing Christmas music. I am sure as we get closer to Thanksgiving I will feel more and more of it.

For the first time in years I'm hosting family for Thanksgiving. I live in Illinois and have no other family here so it's rare that I get visitors for holidays. They will all be coming from out of state. It's been a very busy last few days but it will all be worth it. I'm so excited!

Good afternoon!
Thanks for thoughts and prayers for Thomas and his work.
He still have work! Thank God!
BUT it costs...

They have accepted lower pay, poorer pensions and more hours on the job. They can now work up to 60 hours a week!

He is so much away from the home.
And now he will be even more away. And less money will come in.
He will lose around 700 dollars each month!!

I don't think it's worth it..
Im the one home alone with six children. There is so much to do here.
And I would like him to be more home...

But, maybe in another life....
All in all. Im GLAD he still have a job...
And maybe, things would turn around someday..

......................My mother went to the Dr yesterday.
She got some new painkillers..
But she also got her self an appointment at the hospital next Tuesday.
So I really hope they will figure out whats wrong with her...
Thanks for all your toughts and prayers!

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #8

Wow!
A full week of Christmas Season 2012 has already passed.
Amazing.

So is this:
Days to Christmas Day: 35 (Five weeks from today!)
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 2 (DAY AFTER TOMORROW!)
(I can almost hear "Over the River and Through the Wood" playing!)

A bit nicer yesterday and I got some yard work done. The rain held off except for some brief morning sprinkles.
Should be just a tad warmer today.
We show 47 degrees here at this hour.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!
And get yourselves all geared up for Carl's big Thanksgiving open house tomorrow.
There will be a huge Thanksgiving feast with all the trimings, appropriately frosted fired twinkies (Carl promises no supply problems!) and a fantastic door prize.
Don't miss it!

Hey everyone! Hope all is well! Been busy today, doing a lot around the house and did some shopping.

We went to Hobby Lobby. I finally got garland got the fire place. I've been meaning to get there, but just haven't. I also got trees for the kids' rooms and stuff to decorate them.

EA did wonderful in her parade on Sunday and really enjoyed herself. We have two next week and she is really looking forward to it.

Well, I am going to relax with the family here for a little while longer, then it is off to bed for a short nap. I go back to work tonight. Talk to you all soon!

that is a lot to loose out of your budget every month! Having lived on so little for so long as a single mom I know it is possible, not easy but possible to live well on not much. You learn to do things differently. You find out there really are over 100 ways to cook ground beef and that cheap toilet tissue does the job just as well as the expensive stuff. Family fun days are about picnics in the park and board games in the kitchen.
Most important you realise that there is also no time for anger and resentment, it is a waste of time and energy and robs you of all the little joys available in life.
Keep your chin up and know that this too shall pass!

Praying for you all and hope your mom gets to the bottom of what is going on with her.

Good Monday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I'm going to quit bragging about Elizabeth's performance in the Nutcracker one of these days...but not today! The Statesboro Youth Ballet program just opened last year, and it's already turning out great performances. Now she wants to stop taking dance from her current teacher here in Claxton, and start going there. Ouch! Not only is it 30 miles away, it costs a LOT more. We're going to have to think and pray about this one.

I'm sitting here at my desk listening to the EPCOT Park Christmas background music that someone here on MMC sent to me a couple years ago. I love this! I can imagine walking around an amusement park (I have Dollywood in mind, usually) while this music plays in the background. Christmassy!

I hope y'all have a great afternoon! cheesy

I love to hear about Elizabeth!, so keep on bragging!
I hope she can join the The Statesboro Youth Ballet program
Exiting!! cheesy

It is overcast here today in northern California. After Tuesday and Wednesday, the radiation doctor is letting me free on Thursday and Friday to enjoy the holidays; but it will be back to the grind, or should I say "nuke," on Monday.

You are so right, MGramsey, regarding the Christmas Season. How is your mom doing, by the way?

Tonight is football, so that means we are having something simple: pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, red potato salad, and then cookies for dessert.

School is out this week, but with radiation, I had already taken the time off!

I am not sure if I will get on later. If not, have a great rest-of-the-evening, everyone!
She is still plugging along. The pain is gradually getting worse so she has to take more pain medication. They would like to give here a pump for pain medication but can't for fear of infection. The incision for the last major surgery, 2 years ago, still has not fully healed and probably never will. Thanks for asking.
