Good morning, all. Windy and overcast this morning. My computer is again having major problems so we will be on the phone for most of the day to be walked through the trouble shooting. It is almost time to leave for radiation, so TTYL

It's going to be a busy day here at the office, and then I'm going to go home and relax by baking some pumpkin pies and putting up window lights. Then it'll be time to pack for our trip! I'm really looking forward to getting away for a few days.

Good morning! Happy Thanksgiving Eve. Happy Pines Day!!!!! The Holidays have exploded....been so darn busy, as Im sure you all have too! I was hoping to catch up, but I think it's going to be impossible!

I'm at work until 3:30 today, then heading home to finish cooking & cleaning. Tonight we head to my friends from high school for a get together. I honestly don't have time to leave the house tonight, but I'll go for awhile anyway. Tomorrow morning we have a turkey trot at our house. We have around 25 people who have said they are coming. Could be the biggest crowd ever. I made pumpkin fudge & I still have to make Hungry Girl Caramel Pumpkin muffins to go with the coffee after the trot! We go to my hubby's parents for lunch tomorrow. I am bringing meatballs & pumpkin trifle. We go to my sisters for supper tomorrow night & I am bringing pumkin trifle, sausage dressing & a mexican dip. I have also made a dip that my brother Mike always brought. It is called "Mikes Made up Mish Mash" MMMM - mine won't be as good as his but thankfully he shared his "recipe" with me one time!

SO - IF I don't make it back here, I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. Safe travels to all who are traveling! I hope you all get to enjoy some time with family &/or friends! So much to be thankful for! :smile:

I would like to stop at the pines tonight....heck, I'll MAKE the time to stop at the Pines tonight. :lol:

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!! It is a beautiful day here in central Indiana with a high of 62 projected for later this afternoon. After sleeping most of the day yesterday and several rounds of cold meds I no longer feel like I'm dying. Now I just feel like I've gone 10 rounds with Evander Holyfield. I can't let that keep me down though. I have Macaroni salad, baked corn, and pumpkin pies to make. Plus my local radio station switched to all Christmas music this morning. So that is giving my Christmas spirit a boost. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon all! I can't believe it's a day before Thanksgiving! Unfortunately, this past week also marked the one year anniversary of my stepfather's death, which kind of put me in a bit of a funk, and more importantly my mom's been pretty sad this week, as you might expect. My brothers and sister back home in Ohio have been working to keep her focused on the present while letting her feel her grief. One of the best things for her was seeing my nephew Dmitri being made an Eagle Scout on Monday. I really wish I could have been there to see it, but I'm bursting with pride anyway. What's really special is that my youngest brother, Dmitri's dad, made Eagle Scout 26 years ago, so that's two generations of Eagle Scouts. In other news, I made a big step and actually offered my wreaths for sale for the first time Sunday! Unfortunately, the craft show I was selling at was very sparsely attended (maybe a half dozen people in four hours), but I actually sold 4 wreaths and broke even. Hopefully I can keep on and next time, actually make a profit! Well, I'm actually on a break at work, so I need to cut this short, but I did want to check in and say hello to everyone!

Good Wednesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and it's also the day I get to re-visit my beloved Smoky Mountains! We're leaving eary in the morning, and coming home Sunday evening. I won't have access to the internet, so I'll be incommunicado for the next few days.

I'll try to find a Starbucks with wifi so I can check in (see how that works on TWO levels? :-D), but if not, I'll see you guys in a few days.

Those first milestones after you loose someone you love are the hardest. Acknowledge your loss, talk about all your good memories and remember how much he loved you all.
Congrats to your nephew, that is so exciting!

Just finished stringing lights on my new tree ... I dunno. I guess I'll never be a professional-grade light-stringer. I think the old pre-lit one looked better, but its days are over. Mr. says if you tilt your head a little it looks fine ... hopefully it'll improve when it's decorated.

I have to tidy up the kitchen a bit and then I can relax for the rest of the evening ~ yay! Banana bread, pumpkin pie, corn and tomato salad, pizza (dinner today) are made and my bread dough is rising for baking tomorrow. :dance:

I hope everybody has a great holiday weekend. We are off to huge family thanksgiving (25+ guests, thank God I'm not hosting it). Friday we will go buy our live tree and spend the next 3 days decorating the house and having friends and family over. Oh and losts of football will be watched. Take care and be safe.

good evening y'all! how's it? been pretty busy here. got off work @ 5 pm, came home, made deviled eggs. my uncle called & said a client of his had given him a big pile of clothes in MY size. i quickly took off & i could not believe it. he & my aunt had them all over the living room. i bet it's 200 pieces; blouses, sweaters, suits, coats, jackets, pants, jeans everything. big name brands- really nice, i'm not about brands but i will certainly take them. i'm gonna leave them in my car until after tomorrow. i don't have the room to sort the stuff out or the time to launder all of it right now. JACKPOT! the lady had lost weight & couldn't wear any of it any more.

when i came back home i chopped all my veggies for roasting tomorrow & made a broccoli salad. i'm done until tomorrow now.
