Another day has begun, I have my cup of tea, watching Breakfast TV thinking maybe I might cook up some eggs and sausages.

It is supposed to go up to 9c or higher by Sunday so all this snow will be gone. :-?

They are talking about a white Christmas tree that was abandoned by the elevator in the studio. The host wants to take it home with her. It is made of white feathers, so cool...I wish I could go and get it. They are also talking about some homes and the lights on them. Love it!!!

I hope you had a good day Star !!! xoxo

Hello ... :-)

Holiday, I hope the fruitcakes come out well, and I hope your kitchen smelled as nice as ours did after baking them!

No news on this end to speak of. We're expecting a little wet snow today, but I expect it'll be more sloppy than pretty. And I'll be proofreading another round of that 102-page brochure today. Maybe I'll dig out my earphones and plug into the Christmas music on my iPad to get me through it.

Looking forward to a day off on Friday, so I can put out some outdoor decorations, finish my cards and packages, re-pot the Christmas cactuses I'm giving as gifts, and start to decorate the trees! I may put some of that off until Saturday so I can cuddle up with some tea or cocoa and watch a Christmas movie or two while I have the house to myself on Friday.

I hope you have a great Friday off !!! Christmas cactuses are just so pretty !!!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a chilly day here in central Indy with a high of 40. I got my tree decorated yesterday and some of the icicle lights up. I think I have about 4 strands of lights to go today to finish the building. I also want to get some more of my Santa's put out today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

How are you feeling Made ?? I hope that cough is better !!! xo How is the rest of your family who are sick ???

Hi everyone I know I have been missing on the boards for a while since Thanksgiving!!! Well we had a wonderful day, thank you everyone for all your thoughts and well wishes.

On Friday, we went out we broke tradition and made a new tradition, we went out and saw the Live Carolers in Port Jefferson, NY and went to the Three Village square in East Setauket, NY and walked the square and planted a Christmas Tree in the square. We had a wonderful day them went home in the afternoon and started the Tree. We finished the tree and all I can say (and I think I say this every year) that it is the best one yet!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful time too. I will be catching up as I can. I missed chating it up with you all!!!

Enjoy the day MMC
Oh and PS it is snowing here in NYC WOOOO HOOOOO

Your day sounds just beautiful !!!! - So glad you had a wonderful time - You deserve it !! xo

Good morning, everyone!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday. I can't believe we are getting so close to Christmas! This is the time where I don't mind the days going slow at all - I love to take in all of the Christmas magic :]

The doctor was able to squeeze me in for an appointment yesterday. They did two swab tests to check for strep and the rapid test said that I didn't have it. So it looks like a virus that'll just have to go away. My pulse was so high, 147, that it sent their machine blinking and beeping. I told them I've always had a high pulse because I remember counting it in gym class in school. They did an EKG and said that everything looked normal - a strong heartbeat but it was just very fast. I didn't expect for any of that to happen!

Last night was by far my worst day with the sickness, but at least I slept last night. My voice is almost totally gone, it's very weak and raspy. Looks like this will just be a waiting game.

The Grinch is on from 8-8:30 PM EST tonight, I believe. At least I think I read that somewhere. I love all of the holiday programs!

I am going to keep drinking so I stay hydrated and relax in front of the television. No school for me yesterday or today.

Have a great day!

Jennifer - Hoping and praying you feel better soon xo

I hope start feeling better as the day goes on! Just enjoy the Christmas on tv while you are off!!! If the Grinch can't make you feel better, who can???

I totally agree Holiday !!! I mean Max with that reindeer horn on his head.......So ADORABLE !!! xo

Good morning! Not much going on here today! Looking forward to going home for lunch & putting up a few more Christmas decs! :) Hubby just called - he is not a happy UPS driver today! Thank you cyber sales!!! Ha ha! He says he will be out delivering until 9:30 tonight! That does not make a happy UPS man! :( Their building is down 2 drivers through this whole season - both having or had surgery. And there is only a replacement driver for 1 of them. So it could be a long season for my hubby & his co-workers!!
:give:

Hope you are all having a great day!!!

Awwww.....I hope things settle down for your husband. That is a TOUGH job......xo

Just a quick hi to everyone!

Here is something that is giving me a big smile, my dad had mentioned on Thanksgiving Day how he was enjoying all the Hallmark Christmas movies. I was so surprised! I didn't realize he watched those. I guess he has always had a love for Christmas and I got it from him but I just didn't realize it. He is just not as outspoken as me!

My dad was just over now and discussing on what we are doing for Christmas, what food to make, who all is coming over and more. I am so happy that he is looking forward to Christmas because we were worried that since his brother (my uncle) passed away in April that it would be a difficult time for him. I think Christmas is therapy for him just like it is for me!

I am going to TRY and read some of the post on here but then I got to go. I have so many MERRY THINGS to do today!!!

I hope you all have the Merriest Day EVER!!! :merry:

Bless your Dad and all your family (((CAH))). I now how tough it has to be for all of you this year. Your dad just sounds so amazing. (((HUGS)))) to you all xo

Good afternoon all! Just wanted to say hello....not too much happening around here, but on Friday night my daughter and I are going to a screening of the original Miracle on 34th St. on at a theater nearby. It's actually not a movie theater (at least not these days), it's used for concerts and such, but once a month there's a screening of a classic movie, plus cartoons, movie shorts, and a prize drawing. I'm looking forward to it--of course I've seen the movie many times, but never on the big screen with an audience. It really does make a difference. I'd planned on taking one of my granddaughters to the Holiday Parade the next day, but unfortunately we'll need to go to a funeral instead. It's for a member of our church, who passed away the day after Thanksgiving, and we want to support his widow and pay our last respects. So, I guess we'll just hope for next year.

Well, have a good day!

Anne

Oh that would be amazing to see the original in that setting. I am sorry for the loss of your church member. xo

enjoying a nice hot chocolate and reluctantly going to work. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and grateful to have one, I am just tired and would rather stay home.
Anyway, enough whining, I have to go, hope you all have a great night!!!!

Awwww....I understand Star. I feel greatful too and I like what I do but even though I work at home, I get so tired and just want to take a nap sometimes.....I think we all feel like that sometimes....You are NOT whining !!! xoxoxo

I had to take a nap today, so I haven't been on like I would like. I am all comfy in my jammies and ready to rest, again! LOL! Have a great rest-of-the-evening!

Good afternoon, MMC!

I had a nice day today. Went thrifting early this morning and found some Shiny Brite ornaments at one of the stores. They are solid colored, but still nice. Met up with my cousin and we went out to lunch and then hung around her house until her son got out of school. I am home now and have to do some house cleaning.

Have a MERRY evening!

That sounds like an excellent day !!! Nothing like hanging out with family xoxo

It's good old 35mm film. I agree, nothing beats it! And it's on a _big_ screen, not the small ones you find in multi-plexes these days. We've been to a few of their screenings: Singin' in the Rain, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the silent version of Phantom of the Opera, Fantasia, and Wizard of Oz. And we loved every single one. But this is the first time for a Christmas themed movie!

Anne

Fantasia is one of my very favorite movies - I would LOVE to see that on the big screen again !! xo

I'll second that~

That sounds great; I wish I was there to see that as well...

Don't get me wrong here, I do like alot of the new movies, But, I just love the old B&W movies. For me, I'm even talking about going all the way back deep into the 30's and some 20's. There was alot of classic movies that was made during that timeframe, real treasures... They take you back!

The shame of it all, is that there has been soooo many movies, films that have been lost over the years due to age, neglect and mishaps, that hopefully, these old films can be saved and protected so that they can last and be enjoyed by future generations yet to come...

I recently watched a TV program about how the national archives is trying really hard to preserve, cleanup and restore as many as the old films as possible and then copy them. I think that's great....

I agree - Black and white movies are special and have a special "feel" about them !!!!

Heard Darlene on the radio this evening.. and I thought of... coffee,.,,

AHHHHHHHHHHHH YABBA!
