I have to share that I've been a bad boy (We'll most likely from my bosses point of view); lol... I have called out from work two days in a row...playing hooky... I don't know, I sort of have that "I'm sick of working mood going on right now"!

I took off yesterday and Lisa and I spent the day together Christmas shopping, (she likes to take me along because first, I love to go shopping, any kind of shopping...and second, she always tells me that I come up with all these random good ideas in my mind....). We had a real nice time, kinda like a date, we shopped till we dropped sort of thing, ate out, got an Ice cream later in the evening, then drove home thru the thickest fog that I have seen...

Today/ tonight, I'm taking her up to Longwood Gardens (in Pennsylvania), to see some Christmas lights. It is a relly neat place, where they put lights in all the trees outside, in the greenhouses, etc... It is an old Dupont heir property that has been saved and preserved into an arboretum... Really kinda of cool (yes, even for guys!).

Boy, a guy can sure get used to a life like this... Is this what you do when you retire or hit the Powerball or something????lol

Well everyone, hope you all enjoy your day! Remember what my grandfather say's, "If you breathing and on this side of the Earth, then it's a good day!" sound wisdom from a man who's 94.....

I notice you were in a Benz. Did your "friend" (you know who) give you one from his commercial?

That's my back up car. My truck needs an oil change so I've been driving it the last couple of days.

My Southern accent comes out (a) when I get mad, (b) when I get sad and/or cry, (c) when I talk to my sister or other family members on the phone, or (d) when I hear y'all on the PodCast!!! I had to take French phonetics in college, and my professor prided herself on being able to place her students' accents. She could never figure out where I was from!

lol...

Brad, Merrymistletoe and xmas365, Every once in awhile someone will say to me, "where did you get that accent from, I can't figure it out?"

Here I am in Maryland and sometime back, I went to visit a friend in Toledo Ohio and his friends asked me "where are you from Georgia?" lol... (true story!!!)

I'm a mix of Baltimore (ok, ok, I know Brad, techinically, it is below the Mason Dixon line, lol), also, a slang from being raised on a farm by my grandparents and a Virginia accent from my stay in LittleCreek Virginia for 6 years....

Just add a couple of beers to the mix, and look out here it comes out....my wife say's at times, she thinks she married the biggest redneck in Perry Hall, Maryland...lol... I just had to poke some fun at myself!

In other exciting news, I had my first Active Release Therapy appointment last night. It was expensive, but the doctor seemed concerned and honest about my potential recovery. He said that he couldn't guarantee an immediate improvement, but he could help to clear everything and I could be on the field again by February. I must say, after one appointment, the tightness in my knee/patellar tendon is much less than yesterday. Maybe there is, indeed, a recovery in sight. We shall see.

I'm glad to hear that it seemed to help and Ihope the weather isn't to bad for your flight!!!

CAH, you are lucky to have such a sweet granddaughter. My kids are compassionate, too. To me, that is a valuable quality for anyone. My youngest son still cannot watch commercials about those less fortunate (animals included) without crying. We used to have to rush to turn off the TV when those commercials came on. He was the same way about kids in his classroom.

You can look back and know how great your kids were raised to see that reflected in your grandchildren! Good job, CAH!

As Wayne mentioned I am sick with a cold and never made it here on MMC yesterday. My 3 year granddaughter was so sweet when she came over yesterday. She had her teddy bear with her and she told me, "Grandma my teddy bear will make you all better" then she laid the teddy bear right next to me. I think it actually worked for that moment! Sure gave me a big smile.

Last week I had a day of feeling sick to my stomach and she brought over a Santa that I have that plays Christmas music and said, "Grandma, I will play you a song to make you better". She sat the Santa next to me, pressed the button and the music began to play. She said, "You should feel better now". Wow, she is a miracle worker!!! I see a future for her in spreading cheer to all! :D She is just so darn sweet!!! Her brothers are the same way with compassion.

I haven't read a thing on here yet, my granddaughter will be here in a few minutes. I think another day with my granddaughter and my cold should be completely gone! I will try to get on here later to catch up!

With all his talent, I am not surprised at all!!! Don't you remember how he was able to sneak pics of Binger's Elf on the Shelf in many different poses? LOL!!!

I've been trying to get a picture of Crown's elf behaving badly for the last week but they are either sleeping or making these.

Good Afternoon MMC!!!!! Brr!!! It's a chilly day here in central Indy with a high in the low 40's projected. It looks like we are going to have a warm up tomorrow and then a major cool down on Thursday. We may even get a dusting of snow. I'm not holding my breath though. This morning I decided that I was done decorating. So I put 5 totes of Santas back up in the attic. Now I'm trying to get motivated to make some truffles. They aren't hard. Just messy and time comsuming. So we'll see. I also need to finish my wrapping. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Santa's laughing, "Ho, Ho, Ho!"
And Christmas lights are aglow.
We're all very jolly
We're decked out with holly
Only one more week to go!

Wow, we're really on the home stretch now! Even our elderly patients are getting into the spirit of things. It's good to see the older patients looking happy and lively; so often they come in looking dull and bored. Christmas brightens them up a bit.

One more day until my vacation! My sweetie is still not feeling well, but like I told someone at work, a week off with my sick wife is better than a week at work.

How true, I hope she is feeling better, and you have a great vacation.

Woke up to some frost on the old barn this morning here in northern California. It is in the 40s right now. I am still plugging away on my scrapbooking stuff. I have a class tomorrow evening in Chico. I will also use some of the time to finish shopping for Hubby and one of my friends. She does not make a lot of money and works several jobs to support herself, so I am going to get her a gift card to Wal-Mart and one to Starbucks. That's what she wants for every holiday, so she is easy to buy for. I will be back on later. I normally keep the computer on so I can check in throughout the day. TTYL

Mr. was raised in Brookline. The rest of his family have Kennedy accents, but Mr. doesn't!

I lived some of my teen years in Worcester or as it it is pronounced in parts of Massachusetts- Woostah. It is more like a Boston-lite accent there, and I vowed I would never speak like that. Sometimes I drop an R or two but very rarely. cheesy

Good morning everyone!

Only one week until Christmas. The countdown continues to move along and the Christmas Season is nearing its peak. We've waited all for year for this and it shall be quite exciting!

Speaking of exciting, I only have three more days of work until I fly home for Christmas. The forecast - as of right now - appears as if I may be stuck in Toronto due to a decent amount of snowfall in Sault Ste. Marie, but we shall see. I'm really hoping that the snow isn't that bad. At least they're not forecasting for freezing rain!

In other exciting news, I had my first Active Release Therapy appointment last night. It was expensive, but the doctor seemed concerned and honest about my potential recovery. He said that he couldn't guarantee an immediate improvement, but he could help to clear everything and I could be on the field again by February. Weather-wise in Ottawa, it looks a lot like Christmas. It's a little wet, but from inside it looks really fluffy. Again, as long as it all subsides and allows me to return home without (much) of a delay on Thursday, I will be happy.

Well, I should return to work. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday. Only one more week until Christmas Day. Yes, in seven days we will be gathered around our beautiful Christmas Trees and celebrating another magical moment with our families and loved ones. Until then, keep enjoying the Christmas Season and Merry Christmas!

I hope the therapy helps you out.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I went shopping with Nancy and the kids yesterday afternoon, and we got a few things done. I had to get something for Nancy from the kids, and I never get to go shopping without her, so we had to be sneaky. But, Elizabeth reported on a very nice sweater that Nancy told her she really loved, so Jacob and I (ducking among the clothing aisles, getting some curious looks) grabbed it, bought it, and hid it in the car before Nancy finished her shopping. Success!

7 days from now! Woo hoo!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Sounds very Mission Imp-ho ho ho-ssible, It's always more fun shopping on the down low.
