Hey!
Big news from Carl.
Open house at the 'Pines is being moved back to Monday evening for the sake of New Year's Eve!!

BIG bash.
Confetti.
Music.
Champaign.
Fired Twinkies with "Happy New Year" written in frosting.
.....and a "descending object" for midnight.
Question: What will it be? (Carl is mum.) There's rumor of a giant guilded camel.
Be there and see.
Be there for the fun.
Be there to see the new year arrive in Shispering Pines style!

Have a Super Sunday, Everybody!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! Brr, it's going to be a cold one here in Central Indy where we currently stand at 10 degree's. It looks like we will top out in the middle 20's. I'm dragging today. My friends kidnapped me after dinner last night and forced me to stay out until almost 3am. I may have had a few drinks but I don't think there was any table dancing involved. At least not that I can remember. Now I have to drag myself to church. I'll be back later to catch up. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stayed home from church this morning, we all have colds and thought it not fair to pass on to anyone else.

Baking some raisin bread that I put a hand full of dried cranberries in to see how it will taste. Will let you know how it turns out, right now it does not look like it is rising very well. Took it out of bread machine so I can let it sit longer if I have to.

For now, I am still trying to drown this cold while relaxing and watching Nims Island with LittleCS

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

We're getting ready to go to Savannah for the afternoon. The kids' new dress code required boys' tennis shoes to be "predominantly grey, brown or black", and his has a bit too much red in them. So, a-shopping we will go. I'll hang out in the bookstore...that just happens to have a Starbucks inside. cheesy

It's cold here in south Georgia this morning. I thing there was even a frost on the ground! *shudder*

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I have heard of Acappela. They also did some kids' songs. Didn't they also do Where in the World Is Carmen San Diego?

I don't even know if loads covers how much I love her.cheesy
This April 24 will be 4 years married.

I always hated 8 tracks. When I started to really get into music, they were being phased out and cassettes were the big thing, so I didn't have to deal with them too much.

I still have some vinyl records, just a few though. Anyone ever heard of the Christian vocal group called Acappella? Those are the records I still have.

Woke up to frost here in northern California, but the sun is out and the skies are blue. Hubby is in the kitchen fixing eggs, potatoes, etc. for breakfast. Almost time for Christmas in a Jar!!! Yummy!

I think that was Rockappella, Seawaters. There are other groups that used the "acappella" name in various forms. I am talking about a Christian vocal band, I don't think they ever did anything mainstream. Here is a link to their website.

Want some Christmas records without the need of a record player/turntable?

Western Swing 78 Blog has ripped some more Christmas vinyl!

This is the second installment, the first being from 2008 and still available.
And how could I have forgotten good ol' Ernie!

Now I'm WAY behind!

Good morning everyone! I skipped church and am watching Roseanne episodes on TvLAND...I liked her early Halloween and Thanksgiving epi's before she went all political and crazy...anyways I looked on Hallmark channel for their schedule and it looks like the last movie for the 2012 Christmas season will be moonlight and mistletoe which is a great Christmas film..it comes on Jan 2nd from 4am to 6am. I am really in the dumps when I think about it being the last 2 days of the year and everything is over...I know I have so much to look forward too but it's always hard bidding the holidays farewell. I think we are having leftover today for dinner and tomorrow we are having friends over for a cookout..grilling sausauge and burgers! Have a great day everyone!

Morning, everybody! Hope this finds you enjoying your Sunday! Been up a couple of hours, but have been playing with the dogs. Now, it's time to sit down and watch some NFL. Can't wait.

Wifey is still sleeping, but we stayed up late and talked. We watched some Duck Dynasty, found Storm Chasers on Netflix....so I know that girl is getting better.

Today calls for NFL and playing outside. It's cold, but there are things that I need to get done outside.

I will see everyone later!

Good morning! I had several posts I was going to comment on (multi quote) when my computer went "crazy" & closed out all my open programs, so now I start over.... Darn!!!!

I remember wanting to comment to Caninemom...I agree...it's finally an Ohio Winter!!! (so far!) Our friends were cursing my hubby last night for what he said back on October 30th....the 1st sticking snow was on the 30th of the month, which means 30 more snows this year. It's looking like it could happen!!! :D

Thank you for staying home & not passing it on. I realize peoples beliefs & needs to go to church, but when someone sits right next to you who has a terrible cough, cold, flu, coughing up a lung, constant nose blowing...then they want to shake your hand at the sign of peace. EEK! I always think "why didn't you stay home & keep your germs to yourself?" I really am not a prude or a germ-a-phobe, but that is a pet peeve of mine! HA! I do not think anyone will go to Hell for missing a week of church b/c they are sick! I just don't believe it!

I have been watching Hallmark every second we are home this weekend. I just love to turn on the tv & have Christmas movies as an option!

Breakfast was great, as usual. I like to watch Hubby flip the eggs. He learned that trick when he worked for Denny's as a teenager. TTYL

i hope all of you are doing good and all are happy.....the year is almost over...and that is just so so crazy....running by so fast...I just try to take it all in.....not really looking forward to tomorrow....lol....going to be at my brother´s place, and friends of ours are coming too....and things had gotten kinda weird.....lol....Ill make the best of it and get rotten drunk....haha.....for sho not...but I ma drink a good share of my beloved strawberry punch......two bottles of sparkling wine, one bottle of red wine, one bottle of soda water......sugar, sugar, sugar and tons of strawberries!!!!....lol.....yummy

Totally random thought...but next Christmas will be my last Christmas in the 30's I turn 39 dec 2nd...***and my heart goes into overdrive*** I don't think 40 is all that old..but its at least middle age..and I can't grasp that time is moving so fast!! My new Years resolution is to not wish my life away...enjoy the small things everyday in EVERY season not just fall/winter.....
