Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good morning,

Doing my usual Wednesday routine, (whining and crying about not wanting to go to work) even though it's Tuesday. Have my monthly inventory tonight, you know how hard it is to stand in a -10*f freezer counting everything, I do thats why I have someone else count that. cheesy I do it also, but your fingertips freeze trying to write with a pencil.
Just finishing up "The Night They Saved Christmas" now, started it last Wednesday, and finally have the time to watch the rest of it now. I want to set up my tree now. cheesy I really need to get this DVD, along with Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas, those will be the next Christmas DVD's I add to my collection.

I need to start getting things ready for work.

I have seen Journey, I love Steve Perrys voice. My first big concert was Def Leppard in 1983. Billy Squier opened, remember him? I love that you still have ticket stubs. I wish I had all of mine. I have been to so many I don't even remember them all, lol. One thing I do have is a signed album from Ozzy Osbourne, I met him at a local radio station.

My first concert was Ozzy Osbourne, April 1982 Hampton Roads, VA. I was in the 3rd row and man was it ever smokey in there, I believe I left there dazed, deaf and walking sideways.....:-? (Hmmmm, what...I do not recall anything.....)

After that, I was hooked, I saw Kiss (5 times), Triumph (3 times), AC-DC, Def Leppard, Rush, Dokken, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Styx (twice), Motley Crue, Iron Maiden (twice), Kix (5 times and also got on stage with them once), Judas Priest (4 times), Ratt, Journey, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Hank Williams Jr., Dio, Crack the Sky and more...

It's a wonder that I can hear anything now adays, "Huh, What's that you said honey....????):lol:

I still have two concert tee's from the 80's; Kiss and Lynyrd Skynyrd...

I wish I could have seen some of the older groups like Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Stones when they were at their peaks, that would have been great.... But, as life would have it now, I mention groups like Kiss to my kids now a days, and they say man those guys are old....Their like, ummm from the 80's dad...

My mom is back in the hospital with more complications from her cancer. She has been there since Wednesday. Not sure when she will get to come home. It is not looking good.

Saturday night, we received a call from our son (5 minutes only) but it was a really nice surprise; (he's in his 4th week in boot camp, Air Force), he's doing really well and he said he really misses us. He said he has learned that by being there, he now has learned to appreciate all the things that we have ever done for him in the past... "We were hoping that that would happen", I believe he needed and got a reality check, lol...

Well, I'd love to meet John Wayne, but I think even Carl can't get him to show up (he's previously booked :lol. So, I'd hang out with Sam Elliott if stopped by for a fired twinkie. Or, maybe Carl can get the Rock to show up and I'll bring my son...that would make his day.

I would of loved to have met him.... I saw his name in your post and I have to tell this. This past weekend, we were watching a movie called the Birdcage, (with Robin Williams, Nathan lane, gene Hackman) and in that movie, which is a scream to watch in the first place, is a clip, a skit about John Wayne that you'll die laughing about.

Well, I about thought I was going to fall off the couch from laughing so hard, especially when Nathan lane was trying to walk like John Wayne. I was screaming, laughing so hard, I had tears coming from my eyes and gasping for breath laughing soooo hard. My daughter was rolling around the floor from laughing so hard, I just kept on saying, "that's not right"...

Anyways, when you get the chance watch the movie, you'll pee yourself from laughing so hard....:lol:

Were leaving 3:30am Saturday morning. I plan on leaving early, which then therefore by leaving that early, I'll blow past Baltimore, DC, Richmond and be in North Carolina by 8am... I'll be heading South with the pedal to the metal! My condo is awaiting my presence....:wink:

However, I am leaving a 19 year old home by himself...Yes, I know, he won't do anything (they all forget that we were all 19 at one time)... but I have an ace in the hole, my buddy across the street is a cop and he's got my number and he's watching my house for me!:lol:

It sounds like you had a great holiday! It must have been in the air yesterday...I fell asleep around 8:45 last night trying to watch a movie! And I slept until 7 this morning! I never fall asleep that early & I didn't even get up to walk this morning! Geesh!



I hope Adrian is feeling better today! Your meal sounds delish!!! How fun, your cousins are coming!

How was your day yesterday?

Yep, we are having a girls/cousin weekend!! I told you guys the wrong weekend before, but we are all looking forward to this weekend, going through old family photos, going for a hike, maybe catch a movie, do some shopping, and go out for dinner & drinks one night!

Little Critters was my son, Seth's favorite too. I think we had every 1 of them. his favorites were, Shopping w/ Mommy, the little sister 1, & the daddy 1. can't recall the titles, hmm
