Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

This afternoon is the last evening of VBS, and it's been a lot of fun! I bet I've filled 250 water balloons, and I have that many more to fill this afternoon. I have to admit, I don't mind getting wet, either.

Yesterday at work, we conducted a plant tour for Georgia Power engineers and purchasing people, then we all went out to eat. While we were talking at the table, one of the new interns mentioned that her parents run a Christmas tree farm/pumpkin patch just south of Atlanta.

They recently started a haunted house/forest, and they hire actors (mostly students from the local colleges) to be the monsters. They even have a paintball area to shoot zombies (more actors in padded costumes)! You have to check this out! http://www.fearthewoods.com/

I think Jacob and his buddies would love this...ok, I might enjoy it a little bit, too.

Just thinking about going to a pumpkin patch & haunted house makes it feel a little fall-ish!

Good luck with that. Carl has stopped running the hot tub on Wednesday nights because Binger keeps spiking the water with bubble bath. :-o

Yea, but the real question is, was it the bubble bath making the bubbles or was it Binger???? LOL...:!!

Carl told me personally last night that the hot tub wasn't even plugged in and running when Binger made all of those bubbles appear! I'll let you all do the math! :wink:

You are right about that! My 4 year anniversary is this month, I could not imagine life without this place! =)



I love all the vintage Halloween and Christmas decor and cards. I sometimes google vintage images just to look at them. I am enjoying what you post! I should probably share my finds as well!

Count me as excited! Can't wait. It is the weekend right before my birthday, and I usually celebrate by sneaking a few Christmas songs in on my iPod to hold me over until the fall. This year I'll have even more Christmas!

It has been a very sad day for me. After consulting with both vets' I had to say goodbye to Mouse. I believe a part of me passed on with her - such a lonely place here now. I wish I could hug each and every one of you who kept her in your prayers - it meant so much to me. God bless!

Meceka, I am so, so sorry for your loss. We had to put our beloved Oscar to sleep a few months ago and it was a very painful time for us, especially my husband who was so close to his little cat. Jude struggled, too. Someone sent me a beautiful poem, let me find it for you and send it in a PM. Praying for peace for you. Give yourself time to grieve and know that Mouse is free from pain and frolicking happily now. hugs to you!

How are you all?

It's going to be hot & humid here today, about 80 degrees, and a high pollen count. Blech!

I have a lot of errands to run today, including a haircut appointment & shopping for Father's Day.

Made said he could come & use his clippers on me but I'm thinking that's a bad idea!! Sorry, buddy!! I like my hair, too much =]

I may also drop by Michael's & look for Fall stuff!!
