what do You guys think of vintage commercial signs hanging in the kitchen as decoration? I am thinking of buying some on ebay....not even started to search yet....but I love those old things...and think they look cool in kitchens

Thanks for reminding me ... I have two bread signs put away somewhere in the basement that I never got around to hanging up! One is Sunbeam Bread, and the other is Zeppelin Bread (never heard of it except for the sign).

Good morning, all. It is a sun shiny day here in northern CA. We have one dinner meeting tonight in Red Bluff and one next week in Redding. For some odd reason, I am really sleepy and it is not even 9:00 a.m. yet! I might have to take a nap, especially since I did not sleep all that well last night. TTYL

What is Spooky Town?

It is the Lemax brand Halloween village! I have a few of their pieces, but I mostly love losing myself in their display of it. So fun!!

It is stupid that it is this hot in June! It's not rare for Oklahoma...but it's still stupid!

Okay...now that I have that out of my system...

How is everyone this afternoon? I was out and about on my lunch hour looking around a few stores. I saw no signs of fall, yet. I know summer hasn't even officially started, but I'm really in a holiday state of mind already this year. Not sure why. It may be because it's been a rough few weeks with everything that has gone on. Not sure, but oh well. At least I have Christmas in July coming up!

Thinking of you, Ryan. Hang in there. Keep coming here to cheer yourself up!

I guess it was too monotonous for me. I love clouds & rain every once in awhile, something to break the heat up. Adrian enjoyed it! It was sunny & hot every day! The strip was the only place you'd see people, and locals avoid the strip unless they are going to an event or dinner there. Otherwise, you'd only see people early in the morning, or late at night when it was cool enough. I am an outdoorsy person, and I yearned to be out more. it would reach up to 115 degrees for too many months.

I guess I'm just different, LOL!

So many people move there for that weather.

I believe you and I are both blessed to be able to move back home to much nicer weather than Vegas or Dallas. I would like to have one of your winters though.

Hello friends! How are you all? I am doing well. Just relaxing with my little man. Waiting for DH to get back from picking dinner up and EA from preschool.

What is new for the new day? Nothing really here. How is your weather where you all are? I had terrible storms back here, but it's just been cloudy here for the past few hours. I haven't had one nice day of weather since coming back from vacation.

What are your plans for this evening? I am not really doing anything except hanging out with the family and will probably check in on here. I work again tonight, so I will be napping at some point.

Don't get me wrong! I don't like the heat in Vegas at all, I meant I can handle it a whole lot better than the heat here in Texas. In reality, I HATE SUMMER! I would enjoy it just a bit better if it just would not get over 85 degrees. Wayne is from Maryland and just could not understand why I dreaded summers, now he gets it. He said it's awful here and is not a fan of summer anymore but, it's home! Lol... If I could pack up my whole family, grandkids, mom and dad, furry kids, I think I would head to Alaska! Yay!!! Or just move in with you all and Made would have to follow his "dishwasher" there! Ha ha!

Speaking of the heat here the poor kids wanted to go outside and play. Within 10 minutes they were dripping sweat and said they wanted to go back in. I don't see one kid outside playing today and we live across the street from a playground. This weather is only good for the pool and indoor places. We all have cabin fever! Yep, I only suffer cabin fever during the summer, not winter. Crazy, huh???

The Texas summer heat is awful. We lived in Carrollton for 6 years and it make me really dislike summer. I visited Vegas a few time for work. Both are miserable during the summer months but I agree that Texas is probably worse. South Georgia, where Brad lives, has brutal summers with high humidity.

We have been in the mountains for 14 years now and even though I still complain about the heat, our mid to upper 80s highs don't compare to Texas and Vegas. I still long for a summer with 68 being as hot it gets.

I would love to live where you are at!!! That would be great!
