Meceka, I am so, so sorry for your loss. We had to put our beloved Oscar to sleep a few months ago and it was a very painful time for us, especially my husband who was so close to his little cat. Jude struggled, too. Someone sent me a beautiful poem, let me find it for you and send it in a PM. Praying for peace for you. Give yourself time to grieve and know that Mouse is free from pain and frolicking happily now. hugs to you!

I am right there with you on summer. I hate it, too! I am not sure why. Even as a kid, summer was my least favorite season, and we lived at the river and could swim every day.

Don't get me wrong! I don't like the heat in Vegas at all, I meant I can handle it a whole lot better than the heat here in Texas. In reality, I HATE SUMMER! I would enjoy it just a bit better if it just would not get over 85 degrees. Wayne is from Maryland and just could not understand why I dreaded summers, now he gets it. He said it's awful here and is not a fan of summer anymore but, it's home! Lol... If I could pack up my whole family, grandkids, mom and dad, furry kids, I think I would head to Alaska! Yay!!! Or just move in with you all and Made would have to follow his "dishwasher" there! Ha ha!

Speaking of the heat here the poor kids wanted to go outside and play. Within 10 minutes they were dripping sweat and said they wanted to go back in. I don't see one kid outside playing today and we live across the street from a playground. This weather is only good for the pool and indoor places. We all have cabin fever! Yep, I only suffer cabin fever during the summer, not winter. Crazy, huh???

Good morning, all. It is a sun shiny day here in northern CA. We have one dinner meeting tonight in Red Bluff and one next week in Redding. For some odd reason, I am really sleepy and it is not even 9:00 a.m. yet! I might have to take a nap, especially since I did not sleep all that well last night. TTYL

I can believe it! I wake up sleepy! =)

I have to look again but are you talking about the Stanley Cup tree with lights? I hope I got that right, xmas365! Now I need to see if it looks like Bugs!

A tip for you: Go look on eBay. SCADS of vintage postcard images from all holidays! (That's where I buy my vintage July Fourth postcards.)

I need to go look! I have bought some vintage Christmas goodies from Ebay before.

You are correct, Sir. Summer is no fun at all for me. If there is even a slight breeze, it feels like the breath is sucked right out of me!

It is stupid that it is this hot in June! It's not rare for Oklahoma...but it's still stupid!

Okay...now that I have that out of my system...

How is everyone this afternoon? I was out and about on my lunch hour looking around a few stores. I saw no signs of fall, yet. I know summer hasn't even officially started, but I'm really in a holiday state of mind already this year. Not sure why. It may be because it's been a rough few weeks with everything that has gone on. Not sure, but oh well. At least I have Christmas in July coming up!

I just mentioned yesterday how much I loved summer vacations with the kids but we are talking about 20 years ago. I really didn't like the heat much then either but I tolerated it a whole lot better at that time. I don't do well with it now. Drains me!
