Christmas Countdown - 2013

TGIF everyone. After some heavy thunderstorms yesterday afternoon, we are looking at a couple of nice days. The forecast high today is 79 today with a low of 52 tonight. During the summer here is it still cools off at night, our lows are usually in the mid to upper 50s.

Saturday we are making the 3 hour drive down to see my parents for Fathers' day. My brother and I are taking Dad to see a minor league baseball game in Charlotte. My son is also going so we will have 3 generations there. Baseball and family vacations are the only really good things about summer.

I love Boomerang but I don't have that channel anymore.

That was one of my favorites when we had that channel, it always had the best Christmas specials, of course they were all Hanna Barbera cartoons.

There is a snake in my attic! I always thought that if one got into the house it would be in the basement as it has a dirt floor. Not upstairs!!! I walked right by it and didn't see it - heard a weird noise and watched it slowly slither over to a dark area by the chimney. I was literally shaking I was so scared. My attic is unfinished and full of bags, boxes and totes. So many places for it to hide. Not happy!!!!

I hope you can get rid of that snake soon, that is scary!!!

This is Harlowe's new safe place- a secret hideout from loud thunderstorms:

It's in the basement's bathroom, which would actually be the safest place in the house to take shelter. My baby is so smart!

She kept scratching at the closet door when she was nervous, so I grabbed an extra bed of hers & put it in there. She seems to really like it, and it calms her down.

Good morning!
It is going to be sunny today with a high of 77 degrees.
I have to get moving soon. I have lots of errands to run, including food shopping and some last minute Fathers Day shopping.
Today is my youngest daughters birthday. She is 17 years old. My middle daughter and my youngest are only 11 months apart. So there is one month that they are both the same age, lol. They get a kick out of that every year. Anyway her friends are taking her to the beach for the day and then we will all be going out to dinner later tonight.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

oh....and please....wish Kandice luck for her hockey tournment tomorrow!!!! she is looking forward to it very, very much.....and she is so cute in her skirt and jersey....yes....field hockey girls wear skirts....no shorts like soccergirls...dunno why....just like that....and she loves her skirt.....I honstely believe that was her main reason to play hockey....but now she likes the sport, too!!

Good evening,

Wow, you miss one day on here it takes two days to get caught up again. It has been a long day today, worked all day, came home mowed the lawn so I can just rest tomorrow, and then made calzones for dinner. Watching game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, it is tied and we are heading to overtime again. It is intermission between the 3rd period and overtime.

Let's go Bruins!!!!
