Christmas Countdown - 2013

I got up at 4:15 this morning so that I could get to work early so that I could take a few hours off work this morning to take my grandfather to the heart doctor for a routine check-up. I goofed up and read the nurses handwriting wrong and I thought our appointment was at 11:15 am, but instead it was 11:45 am. We got there too early!

Uggggh, I had to wait 55 minutes before the nurse called us back and then, the doctor himself ended up being about another hour behind schedule. I wasn't too thrilled about that, almost 2 hours of waiting before we even saw the doc. needless to say, everything checked out ok and the doc say he looks good...

I went back to the office and still got my 8 hours in today. I think the rest of the night will be dinner, (check), shower (check), some MMC, a Christmas movie and a bowl of peanut butter and chocolate Ice Cream....

I do not enjoy long waits for doctors either, last Friday we were at my daughters specialist for 3 hours and I forgot my book!

Good evening!
The veterinarian finally called me back late this evening and suggested that Maggie go back on the steroids and hopefully that will help to control her cough. I wish she called me earlier so I could have made it there before they closed. I would have liked to have started the meds tonight but I'll have to go first thing in the morning to get them. I hope she is alright tonight.
Anyway, I took my youngest out driving today. I still don't like the way she drives. Drivers Ed goes through the end of July, I'm hoping to see some improvement by then. And I will try and let her drive more often because I know she needs the practice.
Not too much going on here tonight. The girls are all out and last time I saw my hubby he said he had to clean the pool filter. I'm going to take my dogs to bed, turn up the air conditioner and read for a while.
I hope everyone enjoys their evening!

It is a stand alone piece. I found it on the Bradford Exchange. It's a Thomas Kinkade piece. My only complaint is that it's smaller than I had hoped ;) I wish it was life sized!
But I still love it!!

Yea, me too! I've been tossing and turning so much at night because I'm hot one minute, kicking the covers off, then chilly the next, pulling them right back on, and so on... I got tired of it so last night I went down stairs and set the thermostat for 71 degrees!

that a girl, stiff upper lip and all that, I knew you could do it! She will learn it and soon be diving as well as you do!
Glad you figured out what Maggie needed.
 
Why do bugs like me so much? The other day it was mosquito's and tonight it was ants!!! I might have to get a plastic bubble to go outside in here soon.
