Great to see you back, Victoria. How have you been?

Wow! I haven't been in MMC for a while now. ^^ Well, since I'm back at uni now and I start using my laptop more frequently, it will be much more chances for me to come here. I hope you all guys have started having a great year of 2013. :] Although it seems that Christmas of 2012 have passed just short time ago, I smiled when I saw this thread which already has thousands of replies! Whoah, what a wonderful Christmas fans here! ^^ Best wishes to all from (surprisingly) not-rainy Scotland!

Love that name, Frightful. So cute.

When I make snowcream, I use regular canned milk, sugar, and vanilla. I normally (when we have snow!!!) put out my large stainless steel bowl. That way, it stays cold. I use a lot of vanilla, too!

Good names! Let us know which one he likes better!
One of Gloria's granddaughters named her black kitten Frightful. Such a cute name!

It's a variation on ice cream, using snow as the main ingredient. You take clean, fresh snow and add sweetened condensed milk (or milk and sugar) and flavoring to it, usually vanilla. There are various "recipes" online---here's one example. These days, it's probably safer to use shaved ice, although I've heard of putting a big, clean bowl or pot outside when a heavy snowfall is expected.

LOL on your mum calling the school when she got home! How long was it before you were okay with your mum's leaving you at school?

I do have very vague memories from back then! Mum said I clung on to her crying the first few times she took me, she said the teacher used to take me to one side so mum could run out haha! She always rang the nursery when she got home to make sure I was ok though hehe!'

They only go to school in the snow if all the teachers can make it safely in, most of them have a fair bit to travel to get to school so if conditions get too bad they close the school, pretty much all the kids are only a short walk away so it's not too bad getting them there x

It wasn't very Christmasy, but it wasn't too bad. I had a CST (Child Study Team) meeting after school, and it went well. Then I had to make a call to Medicare because I have not received my card and I needed my card number to sign up for Plan F and Plan D insurance. My head hurt and my neck ached by the time I was finished with a LOT of time on hold!

Hope you had a Christmassy day xo

Thinking of her and keeping her in my prayers, MGRamsey. Thanks for keeping us informed.

We really don't have an exact recipe. My wife and I just use fresh snow, milk, sugar, vanilla flavor. We bought some vanilla flavor in Mexico as few years ago. It is much stronger than the versions we have in the US so we use less now.

Thanks for the prayers. Mom had a rough day yesterday.

Beautiful and a great price, Xmas!

I may have to go back out and buy more stuff, there is more Mr. Christmas items for sale for $5 that they sell on QVC for $24. Rite Aid also had Mr. Christmas Porcelain music boxes for $5.

Help me!

I am Ron and I am addicted to Christmas stuff. cheesy
