I have a Christmas Wreath still on my front door and a string of Christmas lights around a doorway leading to the den with Mistletoe hanging there. Hey, Mistletoe would be appropriate for Valentines Day, wouldn't it????

Good afternoon, MMC!

Where did the afternoon go? I can't believe how fast the day has flown today. I'm not getting much done, but I did catch up on the Countdown and I was able to sign into Google+, but didn't have time to browse around the site. I clicked on the MMC community, I think it is called, and clicked either join or become a member, but I'm not sure if it went through or not. I'll check another time when I have time.

Thanks everyone!!! Things are looking better today. They usually have 2 hours of manadatory overtime everyday and then voluntary overtime on the weekends. Well they canceled all of that yesterday when they started talking about shutting down the line. Then they just reinstated it about an hour ago. So it sounds like it may not be to hard of a fix.

Made I missed your original post and I am praying for the situation....Please pray that I don't wind up w/o insurance too if you would...I am scared......

That was one of the first things I asked for when we had our home built, a full size brick fireplace. And I wanted it big, so I got it where I can put a 3' log in there. I just love it, especially this time of year. I just love to sit in front of a roaring fire with the snow coming down on the outside... Now, If we could only get some snow....

This is really odd, this is the second year in a row where we have/ are not getting any snow at all, or very little of it. All were seeing is a dusting, an inch and then it melts away or a nasty cold to the bone rain.... The temperature has been too warm.

I was watching some video I took back on December 19th, 2009 and both Feburary 16th and the 20th of 2010, when we got hammered with snow, I mean like 4 feet deep with blizzard conditions, now that's what I'm talking about....Now that theres fun, (yes I know I'm snow sick - hah hah, get it snow sick...lol) I crack myself up....:lol:

I hope you you get snow !! This is the first Winter in my part of Ohio that has behaved NORMALLY sort of in a while !! xo

It is similar to vanilla ice cream. You use snow, milk, sugar, and vanilla flavoring. Almost everyone in the NC mountains eats it when fresh snow is available.

It sounds really delicious....!

Wow! I haven't been in MMC for a while now. ^^ Well, since I'm back at uni now and I start using my laptop more frequently, it will be much more chances for me to come here. I hope you all guys have started having a great year of 2013. :] Although it seems that Christmas of 2012 have passed just short time ago, I smiled when I saw this thread which already has thousands of replies! Whoah, what a wonderful Christmas fans here! ^^ Best wishes to all from (surprisingly) not-rainy Scotland!

One of Gloria's granddaughters named her black kitten Frightful. Such a cute name!



It's a variation on ice cream, using snow as the main ingredient. You take clean, fresh snow and add sweetened condensed milk (or milk and sugar) and flavoring to it, usually vanilla. There are various "recipes" online---here's one example. These days, it's probably safer to use shaved ice, although I've heard of putting a big, clean bowl or pot outside when a heavy snowfall is expected.

I'll Be Home For Christmas is on Starz Family now, it is an okay movie, but it is Christmassy. I am looking forward to my schedule going back to normal next week, my checks aren't looking so nice with this extra day off a week.

I hear this !! Mine are PITIFUL takint 25% out of each one for taxes......:sad:

That's the ONLY way I ever get any work done...!! I have to drink a 5 Hour Energy and then when that wears off (much shorter than 5 hours I may add) I take Vivarin ...........:sad:

We really don't have an exact recipe. My wife and I just use fresh snow, milk, sugar, vanilla flavor. We bought some vanilla flavor in Mexico as few years ago. It is much stronger than the versions we have in the US so we use less now.

You can make whatever station you want, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, etc... I have even done a few stations based off a style of song.

Good afternoon, Christmas family

Not a lot going on right now...After typing 15 days in a row I just couldn't do another day of eight to ten hours so I took today off. Proabably taking tomorrow too....But since January is so long, I should be able to make up what I did not do today.

It is chilly here today but I am looking forward (Yes Made, Forward) to the really chilly weather that is supposed to come next week......I got more candles from Yankee Candle. I just could not resist because the votives and tarts were 50% off !! But I think I am done for a while.....

I hope all have a Christmassy afternoon and I may be back later !!

I just checked MMC on Google+, and I didn't see any new members from your neck of the woods. Give it another shot next time you're logged in to Google+. We not sure what we're doing over there yet, but the more the merrier!
