Thanks Snowflake!
I was disappointed at the Christmas Tree Shop, they didn't have too much out yet. But I did grab this little sleigh, I like the Santa picture on it.

And I stopped at Joanns to look for the owl apron but they didn't have it. I'll have to pop back in there one of these days to see if it comes in. I did pick up these little signs for Fall.

I didn't have time to go to Hallmark but I may still run up there later!

Hey all...been away on vacation. I'll be trying to catch up tonight.
I'm feeling a little blue as a dear aunt of mine passed this morning.
She faced a lot of very sad things in her life with great courage and I'm glad she has found peace, but I'll miss her for sure.
Baptism this weekend for our little grandson...the world keeps turning doesn't it?

I'm so sorry for your loss, friend. Your Aunt sounds like she was an amazing woman.
My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.

((Hugs))

Hello all. We went to the video store tonight and my daughter picked Santa Paws 2! So, we are watching a Christmas movie. Hope you all are having a great Friday!

I had a buddy of mine sent this to me, thought I would share with everyone so that you have time to prepare....

Holiday Eating Tips

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch, it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than you think. It's Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy.
Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's.
You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or, if you don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven't been paying attention.

Reread tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner.

Remember this motto to live by:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Awesome!!!

A happy and speedy Friday to all my favorite people! (Yes, that's YOU!)

Something is giving me mild/moderate allergy symptoms---sneezing, itchy nose, itchy eyes, itchy throat, etc.---but our pollen and mold spore counts are low here. It's a mystery. Nothing new in the home or work environment that I can think of. Anybody here wearing a different cologne or aftershave? cheesy

It's Sugars fault!

(sorry, I couldn't resist) cheesy

Enjoy the zoo with your sweeties!!
Build-a-bear is so much fun, too!!
Have a great weekend, friend!!

We are going to celebrate my husband, Adrian's b-day & go laptop shopping for me. The first part should be a blast!!

Every once in a while, I like to go back and check the thread from the previous year to see where we are....

Post 34244 was made by Christmasstar.....

On November 18.

Wow.

Wow, we are 3.5 months ahead! We ARE a bunch of blabbermouths!!!

Hmmmmm, now that's got me thinking about what I was doing last year on November 18th??

What was the hot topic back then on MMC???

Thanksgiving?

Christmas?

How to make a belly button lint sweater? (that was on there somewhere) cheesy

Trust me you say that now... She is 20 lbs of pure Satan spawn... Not tha bad but if i was not already bald i would be from here trying to run up stars, climb up and over the couch get on the dinner table some home and try to jump to the counters.

Funny that's what we call LC.

This was supposed to be MEDIUM red! Does this look medium to any one???
I look like a Christmas decoration![/QUOTE]

Your funny Star....I'm sorry it didn't turn out right! But at least there's one good thing about it, it's not permanent!!! Get it, permanent....ba-doom....I crack myself up....

Thought I would try to make you laugh just a bit....

o dear looks more copper/orange.. what colour was your hair before you done this ?

Wear an elf hat, and no one will notice the hair. The green and red will be beautiful together! If anyone rags you, tell 'em you're helping Santa to make up his naughty-or-nice list.

Christmasstar, maybe you can run a semi-permanent dye over it to soften the color.

It's not bad, Star. I bet you look very nice. But, does it work like the redder the hair is the worse your temper is? My son's a redhead, and his temper isn't too bad, and I think the old temper stereotype is just an old wives tale.

I don't want to know what there idea of red is then!!

It's not that bad, though!!!! I'm sure it will fade after a couple of days.
LOL, you guys are great!
I like the helping Santa idea, I was tell people at the store today about how much time is left until Christmas!
