We actually went to 2 different Walmarts yesterday and I saw the bike I want! Wayne told me to go ahead and get it but I told him I better "sleep on it" and decide later.

Aw, go ahead and buy the bike you want! You never know when they might sell out or discontinue it.

We can be silly together and have fun doing stuff most people find boring.

That is the secret of happily married couples!

I was just trying to figure out dinner, myself! It has to be something good, and warm- comfort food!

We might make loco moco today---a hamburger on a bed of rice, smothered with brown gravy and topped with an egg. It's Hawaiian tourist comfort food. On a cold day it reminds us of a Hawaiian vacation!

I was feeling just a little icky most of the late afternoon. Nyah, I love our priest's homilies. He is retiring in February so I told him last night that I am making it out before he does.

you sure it wass not the sermon?
Hope you feel better soon, rest well!

We have Marie Callender's our here. Really good food. The soups are so good! We also get lots of products in our grocery stores, too.

:)

I'm not sure if she's even still in Vegas. Adrian said he thought they closed their locations shortly before we left =[

One of her restaurants was near an architects office I had to go to often for work meetings and my friend & I would have her lunch buffet. It was delish!!

Well, hope come across one someday in your travels!

I know y'all get tired of me saying how lucky you are to get snow! But you ARE lucky!

There are some good movies on tv!

The Lost Valentine, The Family Stone, and Signs.

Hmmm...what to watch...

Going to go watch some tv in bed where it's nice & warm.

We have a winter weather advisory starting tonight through tomorrow, possibly into Monday. We're expecting 2-6 inches of snow, freezing rain, icy roads, etc. we plan to stay home!!

I know y'all get tired of me saying how lucky you are to get snow! But you ARE lucky!

I'll send you some of the sleet we are going to get this afternoon.

Thanks, I do. I slept until almost 9:00 a.m. and that is really late for me!

That's good to hear. I sleep in to 9 a lot. I usually don't go to bed until 2 or 3 though.

I can see clearly now, the rain has gone....

Good Morning, Folks,

Sunday.

What better day to rub the sleep from your eyes (I find that hard to do) so that you can clearly read this:
Days to the Season: 290
Days to Christmas Day: 332
In just 16 days -- two weeks from the day after tomorrow -- we will reach Milestone #2, the one-fourth marker to the Season.
(Then just wait until you see how close the next Milestone is!)

Well, thanks to slightly warmer temps, nearly all of the ice melted yesterday.
Would you believe possibly 70+ degrees by mid-week?
Weird!
We currently stand at 28 degrees here in the capital city.

And while you ponder the strange and exciting facts enumerated above, you allow time to have a Super Sunday, allrighty?

According to Star's chart, that's 53.6 degrees F. We had some rain yesterday, but the sun is bright this morning.

Happy Sunday!!! All the snow melted last night, we had really heavy rain throughout the night and temps are slowly going back up so I think thats the last of the ice/snow we will get this winter!! they are saying we will reach highs of about 12 c through the week!!

Well the housework wont do itself, nor will the dinner so quick catch up on what ive missed then Id better get cracked on!!

Have a great day!! x:merry:

I know y'all get tired of me saying how lucky you are to get snow! But you ARE lucky!

I know :)

Trust me, I do...
10 years without it in Vegas. I missed it!

Although I hate driving in it, especially when the road crews haven't come by just yet.

We have been having so much fun w/ Harlowe & the snow!! We go for nightly walks, and she loves running through the fresh powder!

Btw, I took this the other night:

Not a good quality pic by any means, so far across the pond, but EXCELLENT because it's Christmas lights still up!!

CAH, would you just listen to Wayne, PLEASE!!! You deserve it!!! I was not feeling up to much after Mass last night. I only had to get up once during the night, thank goodness! You needed that rest.

We missed the Skillet last night! I messed up the day with taking a late afternoon nap but it sure was worth it!!! We had ran a lot of errands in the morning then went to lunch, ran more errands, we came by the house and I laid down "for a second" the next thing I knew I woke up almost 2 hours later. We still had a few more errands to run so we went after my late afternoon nap and didn't get in until almost 9:30 pm. The Greasy Skillet was over! We also went out for dinner. We rarely go out to eat twice in one day, kind of costly but since we had a gift certificate that covered lunch and a coupon for dinner we went for it. Yes, I am a coupon junky!!! Anytime I can save money I am happy!

We were at Walmart before 9:00 pm, by the time we went to check out it was 9:10 pm and headed to the garden section since we were parked in that area. The guy was real nice and said the registers in that area close at 9:00 pm but he went ahead and rang us up. He said, "Remember that for next time that you can't check out here at that time". I laughed and said, "There will not be a next time, we are usually in bed by 9:00 pm". Then said "we sound really old, don't we"? On the way home I told Wayne we are just wild party animals staying out so late!

Have a Merry Day my friends!

Thinking of you both. I don't have the flu, but what I have is YUCKY! Take care and just lie around.

Oh, friends....

the flu has arrived in our house....I'm so sore my fingers hurt when I type and my feet hurt when I walk....just aches....

We went to bed last night early...got almost 12 hours of sleep...before we went to bed we both had a 101 temp.

But it is what you make of it....wifey is sitting in her chair right beside me and we are getting to just sit and visit....something it seems we don't get to do often....

Always find the silver lining....

You and Coach are right; and that's the same for life itself. You have to make the best of it. I was in the hospital for gall bladder surgery, the type before they started scoping. The incision was so painful I could hardly stand it. I had a "roommate" who was quite large, and she had the same surgery. For some reason we got to wondering what they did with our breasts when they operated. I suggested they used clamps to clamp them to our necks. The picture we created for ourselves made us laugh so hard that the nurses came in to see who was doing that to us to make us laugh and hurt so much. They saw that it was only us and we told them what we were laughing about. Even they started laughing. They told us, though, that we did need to cough and stuff, but not necessarily that way and that hard. It made us even more sore than we were, needless to say.

I hope you get well soon!

I know what you mean by that silver lining! When Wayne was in the hospital with his heart problem I spent 3 nights with him there in a bed by his. We did make the best of it since he was still in good spirits and actually felt well, just heart fluttering (which was still a bit scary). We really had a nice time together, talking, laughing watching funny stuff on TV. We wondered if the nurses and doctors thought we were having a party in his room! We still talk about our time we spent there. Sure, I was worried sick about him and don't want to be back at the hospital but like you said, "it is what you make of it". I think the funniest part being in the hospital that we were watching a Bugs Bunny cartoon that we have seen over and over since we were kids and suddenly we were laughing so hard at it that we had tears streaming down our face. I don't think that particular cartoon was that funny in the past but it was hilarious that day. We still laugh thinking about that. Of course if he was there in critical condition, I think it would be a bit hard to stay upbeat but Wayne and I were taking walks through the hospital and his appetite was well so it went okay!

Take care of yourself! I am glad your wife is there to cheer you up!

Oooh! That sounds really good!!!
Enjoy your escape! =)

Now that is making the best of a scary situation! Laughter truly is the best medicine :)

So many of us here have good relationships. I think it is the Christmas Spirit which we share in addition to all the other things. One of the things I love about you two is how one will be on the computer and the other chimes in, at first without the other's knowledge!

I hope you feel better soon Ballcoach!!!

That is one of the things I love about our relationship, we can take a bad situation and make it better. I actually have fond memories about those days in the hospital, not that I want to go through that again of course. We can be silly together and have fun doing stuff most people find boring.
