Well the wintery mix has begun!! Started with sleet an hour ago, and has turned to big snowflakes!! Pretty and slippery!

recipe ever found was a 6,000 year old formula for beer written on
a cuneiform tablet. The recipe was part of a poem that was devoted
to Ninkasi, the Sumerian goddess of beer. Beer has been regulated
by man for thousands of years. The oldest recorded laws of any kind
can be found in the Code of Hammurabi that was written in Babylonia
in 1750 B.C. In this code were regulations regarding the selling of
beer. As an a example, beer houses were banned from watering down
their beer and if they did, the penalty was death.

Adrian & I love to sample microbrews & cheeses. The stereotypical Sconnies!
Our favorite brewery is now 10 miles away, in Chippewa Falls.

This looks like a fun gift. You were lucky, as I am sure you know, to have been at the theater with the organ.

Don't I know it! It's still the only working theater organ in Maryland still situated in its original theater. (There were other working theater organs, but they had been moved to colleges, private homes, other theaters, etc.).

It IS very good. The same British production team made other EXCELLENT documentaries: "Unknown Chaplin" (which contains outtakes!), "Buster Keaton: A Hard Act to Follow," and the 13-part "Hollywood," which is a history of silent motion pictures in which a lot of actors, actresses, and crew members participated---to hear those who were "there" tell the history is silent films is amazing.

Doing fine! A fellow with an NPR radio show has scheduled a telephone interview with her. He does a regular program about the swing era and will be featuring her on one show. He had a crush on her when he was a teenager, so it could be an interesting interview! We're making plans to visit her again this summer.

I slept in until 11:15 today!!! But I feel better now than I have in days so I must have really needed it.
Talking LittleCS home soon, we have to stop at store and then my moms before I leave for work.

There are some good movies on tv!

The Lost Valentine, The Family Stone, and Signs.

Hmmm...what to watch...

Going to go watch some tv in bed where it's nice & warm.

We have a winter weather advisory starting tonight through tomorrow, possibly into Monday. We're expecting 2-6 inches of snow, freezing rain, icy roads, etc. we plan to stay home!!

We were watching Signs last night, aliens freak me out though. cheesy

We missed the Skillet last night! I messed up the day with taking a late afternoon nap but it sure was worth it!!! We had ran a lot of errands in the morning then went to lunch, ran more errands, we came by the house and I laid down "for a second" the next thing I knew I woke up almost 2 hours later. We still had a few more errands to run so we went after my late afternoon nap and didn't get in until almost 9:30 pm. The Greasy Skillet was over! We also went out for dinner. We rarely go out to eat twice in one day, kind of costly but since we had a gift certificate that covered lunch and a coupon for dinner we went for it. Yes, I am a coupon junky!!! Anytime I can save money I am happy!

We were at Walmart before 9:00 pm, by the time we went to check out it was 9:10 pm and headed to the garden section since we were parked in that area. The guy was real nice and said the registers in that area close at 9:00 pm but he went ahead and rang us up. He said, "Remember that for next time that you can't check out here at that time". I laughed and said, "There will not be a next time, we are usually in bed by 9:00 pm". Then said "we sound really old, don't we"? On the way home I told Wayne we are just wild party animals staying out so late! :lol:

We actually went to 2 different Walmarts yesterday and I saw the bike I want! Wayne told me to go ahead and get it but I told him I better "sleep on it" and decide later.

Oh, friends....

the flu has arrived in our house....I'm so sore my fingers hurt when I type and my feet hurt when I walk....just aches....

We went to bed last night early...got almost 12 hours of sleep...before we went to bed we both had a 101 temp.

But it is what you make of it....wifey is sitting in her chair right beside me and we are getting to just sit and visit....something it seems we don't get to do often....

Always find the silver lining....

Trust me, I do...
10 years without it in Vegas. I missed it!

Although I hate driving in it, especially when the road crews haven't come by just yet.

We have been having so much fun w/ Harlowe & the snow!! We go for nightly walks, and she loves running through the fresh powder!
