Omg 35 till Lovemas!!!!!!! Make plans now,,,, ommmmggggg

Yabba!!

I was in a lousy mood after work, so we went out for a burger … then went to the Building 19 before they go out of business (but nothing was left except junk). The Building 19 was so dismal that Mr. suggested going to the Christmas Tree Shop so we could get a cheerier bargain-shopping vibe. I got two Christmas mugs. (I've got about five or six now. If I had the space to display them, I'd start a collection.) Really enjoyed shopping there---Christmas stuff everywhere now, of course! It was a great pick-me-up.

I'm off from work tomorrow, but I have to get up early so be ready when the tree guys come to take down the tree that we found out is rotten inside. I've been anxious to get that taken care of before a winter storm causes it to fall on the house, cars, and/or neighbor's house. It'll be a long, noisy, expensive day, but it'll be worth it to get that load off my mind.

It took me quite a while to get through all the posts after work. Seeing all the Christmas camaraderie here does my soul good. I hope you folks know I love you all.

I ended up at the Christmas Tree Shops yesterday too, that's where I found the Christmas tissues. I love browsing around in there, especially this time of the year.
I hope everything goes well when the tree comes down and that you are still able to enjoy your day off!

Hey how is everyone doing?

Kandice is caughing now additionaly to her sneezing....still it seems harmless. She will stay home for the week and recover and she will be back as new by Monday.

The house is decorated now. Stripey is fed....now I have do clean up the place and we are ready to go to the grocery store.

God bless You

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 2 *****

Good Morning, Festive Friends.

And so we move on into Christmas Season 2013.

Second day.
And how many Christmas songs have you listened to?
How many holiday movies have you seen?
Gotten any of that shopping done?
Wished anyone "Merry Christmas", yet?

Well, perhaps you will be motivated by the stats:
Days to Thanksgiving: 14 (Two weeks from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Under 6 weeks, now!)
And let's not forget, we have one more Milestone to pass.
The "forgotten Milestone".
It's the 90 percent "Home Stretch" mark to Christmas Day and it arrives Nov 18, barely 4 days from today!

Gee, it was cold yesterday.
Had to wear a coat all day.
The weather service said our high was barely above our normal low for this time of the year.
No matter. By Saturday, they say we will be back to the low 70's.
(That will feel nice!)
Right now, we have a chattery 27 degrees showing on our back door thermometer.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And get ready for our first Weeked Eve of the Season!

Jenny 867 5309? cheesy

I am drawing a complete blank at what song you are speaking of. Hmmmm?

Maybe it's "Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk is the hope of Janice and Jen …" -----"It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas."

WOW!!!

I lost count of how many Rudolphs I have, though. cheesy

A deranged friend once gifted us with a CD he had compiled of "Rudolph" by 15 or 20 different artists … I think it's still around here somewhere, if you're missing any!

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 2 *****

Good Morning, Festive Friends.

And so we move on into Christmas Season 2013.

Second day.
And how many Christmas songs have you listened to?

Not enough but I hope to change that from now onwards!

How many holiday movies have you seen?

A few but apart from Arthur Christmas , I have not watche any of the big favourites yet!

Gotten any of that shopping done?

I finally started some shopping this week and managed to get three main gifts in plus one birthday gift in for Mr Festive. I have been browsing online and thinking about what to get for people.

Wished anyone "Merry Christmas", yet?

Yes ! You guys!

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.
And get ready for our first Weeked Eve of the Season!

Enjoy your day to !

got called into work today so that changes my plans for the day.
Have a good day everyone!

I hope it wasn't to inconvenient having to go in and you can re arrange your plans to suit. Have a great day!

Thank you! I got some nice cards at the Christmas Tree Shop, too---you can always get good cards there for a decent price! If it's too noisy to do anything else, I could start on my cards today.

I bought Christmas cards last night … and I still have a bunch of unused cards from last year that are perfectly good, but I'm afraid to use any for fear of accidentally sending someone the same card they got last year. Does anybody else run into this? Any idea what to do with the perfectly good unused cards? It's not like I can donate them to the Salvation Army … and I hate to just toss them in the recycle bin. Maybe some sort of "card exchange"?

Merry Morning! I have just taken a time out for a cup of tea and a bite to eat. It's been a busy morning. I have just tuned into Love at the Parade, I've not seen this one before. I have started some shopping online but still a long way to go.

I forgot to mention a few days ago I saw the coca cola advert! We were all super excited when it came on as it has always been a big sign of the season!

How can it be Thursday already! My Christmas decorations are coming down from the loft on Saturday and I will probably start putting out a few things each day starting with the small things.

Well I should get back to things , have a magical day everyone!

Love your idea of a card exchange. I buy different packs of cards for different groups of people so the pack I use for neighbours will be different from the pack I use for friends for example. I never really set out to do this but I just sort of end up doing it this way.

Anyway I am sure no one would mind if they got the same card, they may not even remember. Perhaps you can keep them for next year and that way it leaves a bit of time between.

A very Merry Christmas to you Crown. Thank you for all you do on here.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

How exciting! I need to start writing my cards out to, I will start posting next week!!

I feel the sae way about everything Jennifer. Christmas Eve is also my favourite day of the year, it's the climax of the season for me! I am also comforted in knowing that you all will be here when those January blues kick in. I bet you are looking forward to weekend, I will be pulling my decorations down from the loft on Saturday!

Thanks, that's a good suggestion! Just "retire" them for a year! That would make fewer to buy next year.

They're now taking down the half-dead tree … it'll be a relief to get it away from the house. The noise isn't so bad.

Turns out the tree service doing the work was featured in a National Geographic Channel reality show about their tree removal work. There's no camera crew out there today, though!
