Good Morning.
And.........

Yes, Thanksgiving Day.
Wow!
The Macys parade will start soon and we will watch it as we prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. A tradition for many years.
(I love traditions. Gives you a rock to hold on in the middle of a rushing stream of too-fast change.)

However, we but turn another page, as the count down to Christmas goes on:
Days to Christmas Day: 27 (Now UNDER 4 weeks remain!)

Cold, cold, cold yesterday.
Damp, too. (Bad combination!)
Downright frigid here this morning where we have started out at 26 degrees here in the chilly capital city.
And it is supposed to stay cold all day.
(A good day to stay in, eat and watch parades and such.)

Hello friends, I had a safe trip to Michigan despite some serious snowfall after crossing the border into Michigan. Had a fun day with family and looking forward to a wonderful day tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!

OK guys, I shouldn't be here - I'm sneaking in...I still have cleaning to do & I have to be up at 5:30 am! BUT I am so excited - I just ordered the greatest Christmas present for a good friend of mine! I don't know if any of you have seen the deal at Kohls for the Kitchen Aid Mixer, which ends up being $91? It starts at $229 but when you put it in your cart it's $206. Then there is a coupon for 20% off + it's free shipping. There is a $30 rebate. And now they have $15 Kohls cash for every $50 spent. AND I had a $30 Kohls cash. So basically I got the Kitchen Aid for $61 for my friend who so desperately wants one but really can't afford it right now. (I did not tell her about this deal b/c she would have bought it for sure!!) Anyway - I am so excited. I had it shipped directly to her & she is going to sh*t!! Can't wait until she receives it!!! I just love finding that perfect gift...even though it's more than I normally spend - she's worth it!! Actually, I ended up ordering her a t-shirt & a cookbook -totaling another $10 - just so I could get another $15 in Kohls cash. LOL! SO FUN!!!

Your friend is so blessed! She will love it, my brother gave me one 5 years ago and I love it!
wait, now I am confused, did she get the mixer or the t-shirt/cookbook or both?

Watching the Macy's parade and enjoying Thanksgiving! I hope all of you have many blessings to be thankful for today, and that your dinner will turn out perfectly!

Anybody catch the Wells Fargo commercial earlier on the Macy's parade? I loved the snowmen giving the horses carrots … also enjoyed the Macy's commercial with the vintage TV and film clips of characters mentioning Macy's.
