Good evening!
Long day at work, but went well. I say "Merry Christmas" to my customers, most respond well, a few say nothing. One lady said she loved it, and was so tired of this politically correct stuff, it was refreshing to hear someone working in a store actually saying merry Christmas! So I will continue because I love it too!
The rest of my week is full of preparations for our family Christmas party on Saturday.
and a gingerbread house decorating party at a low income housing project on Wednesday where we are expecting 15 to 20 families to take part.
I am tired just talking about all this! LOL

Oh my goodness, I'm so done today. I got all of my regular chores and errands done, plus I did some Christmas shopping. I went to the mall not once but two times today. I also went to the outlets, Target and Rite Aid. I'm still not finished shopping! Tomorrow is another day. I think I heard them mention on the news that we might get some snow tomorrow so I'll see how it goes. I could always stay in and wrap, that will keep me busy for a while.
I can't keep my eyes open. My two oldest just went out for half price appetizers at Applebee's. My husband is up so he'll make sure they come home and are safe and sound. Oh and my husband finally started painting, I'm so happy about that!
I hope everyone is well and had a great day!
See you in the morning!
Goodnight and sweet dreams!

Wow, you've been busy!!! I say you deserve some time off tomorrow!!!

Glad your hubby finally got to the painting stage!!!!

Goodnight!!!!!

I've spent the last hour going through cookbooks trying to find some new recipes for Christmas. I can't find anything that everyone in my family will eat though. I know I'm picky when it comes to meat but that is nothing compared to the rest of the family. So I guess it's back to the same old stuff again.

Goodnight, Christmas peeps!!

I am off to bed! I will catch up on what I have missed in the morning. I am dreading going to the dentist tomorrow, even if it is for a normal cleaning. I hate anyone poking around and scraping at my teeth. My mom has been running a low fever this evening and feeling crummy so I hope she isn't coming down with anything. We have been running around like crazy shopping for gifts and taking care of errands. We have lots of baking to do next week so we can't afford anyone being sick!

Sleep well and sweet dreams, everyone!

Good afternoon MMC Family.

I am NOT a happy Christmas elf today. Yesterday was the day we FINALLY got to do our tree. After the online party I started on the lights waiting for my son to get home so we could decorate. We have about 1400 lights on our tree. 400 multi-function white lights and then 1,000 multi-colored.

Last year I bought all new multi-colored lights. I noticed my old ones were dimming so before putting them on the tree last year, I went out and bought 1,000 new ones. Good quality ones too. They were all lit and beautiful last year when we took the tree down, and this year - 3 of the 5 sets are not functioning at all. I went through all 600 of the little bulbs and all 6 fuses. Nothing, nada, zilch, no twinkle. :-o

So I put on the white lights since they go on first and added on the two sets of colored lights that were working. Today I have to go... out there.... and buy more lights so we can finish decorating. Grrrr!!!

What happened to the days when a set of lights worked for years? My dad had the same set of lights on the tree for almost 10 years. I was with him when he bought them when I was 8. He replaced them the year after I graduated high school. LOL He bought new ones and two years later - needed to replace some of those. Ridiculous.

Oh well. Noah said, "I think it still looks beautiful Mom. We could just leave it as it is!" Love that kid. :)

I have multi-function lights (white & color) on my tree, and the last few years I have had to replace one set or the other. The quality has not been good on them, but I won't do my tree without them.

Good evening everyone! How was your day? :] Mine turned out to be incredibly good because the fact that my cousin finally became a dad made my day! His wife gave birth to a wonderful baby girl early this morning. I'm very VERY happy for them! ^^ I hope to go to Norway sometime to visit them. :]

I have been in a huge need to share my excitement with someone. ^^

Best wishes to all!

Congratulations to them!!!

Back from the doctor- doesn't think it is strep, just a nasty virus. He prescribes lots of rest!

Thanks for your thoughts & prayers.

Lots of rest. Retail. December.

Those don't go too well together.

I hope you feel better quickly, friend.
