I still remember the last Nor'easter I experienced before moving to Texas. It happened right around Presidents' Day. We got about 3 feet in Maryland. My step-father had a pick up with a plow, but instead of pushing it away from the house, he pushed it toward the house. I asked him how we were going to get in and out of the house.:lol: So I dug a trail from the front door across the yard to the driveway. I called the mountain of snow "Winters' Mountain" (his last name is Winters) and my path was dubbed "Beckwith Valley".

I like the name Beckwith Valley !! It has a great majestic Western ring to it !!! I can almost see John Wayne now on his horse !!! xo

Our cat has been going strong on the pills we give twice a day. The doctor said everything looks fine and we will wait on two tests. He gave her a shot and she came home feisty!!!

Awwwww...I am so glad !!!! Autumn was on her last legs when we took her in...That is why we opted for the I-131. It cured her instantly and she was able to recover. It wasn't cheap and not every clinic can administer it - it is radioactive somewhat. I would do it again if I had to. I was amazed at the results !!! She went from death's door to healthy in two weeks !!

Hoping to make it through the night with power, it is getting really nasty out there. Blizzard-like conditions now only going to get worse as the night goes on.

Count us in on that, please! Our power went out at 8:20, and we were sure that we'd be out for 24 hours, because the gov. said the crews wouldn't go out until the storm was over tomorrow. But it came back on about 10:20! It's flickered, though, and it's blowing like mad out there, so I'm afraid it'll go out again before it's all over. It's awfully cold to go without heat until tomorrow night ...

We're listening to old-time radio cassettes---I think we'll just stick with those until bedtime, in case the power goes out again. Wish us luck! And xmas365, I hope your power stays on.

I am going to bed here soon.

Everyone will be in my prayers tonight, as usual, but extra prayers are coming for those who are experiencing the storm. I hope that you have power tonight and through the weekend. We lost power two weeks ago when it was in the single digits and we thought we were going to freeze with no heat. Luckily, we were without it for two and a half hours and then it came back. I know how scary it can be to lose power in a situation like that!

Stay safe, warm, comfortable, and calm! Hopefully the kiddos don't drive anyone crazy tomorrow. Don't let the cabin fever get to you!!!! :lol:

Still awake, looked out the window a little bit ago and you couldn't see acroos the street.

13.5 inches of snow here as of 10:30PM, at least another 14 hours of this storm to go.

We are currently at 9°. Tomorrow is supposed be sunny with a high of 29°. Our nasty weather comes on Sunday, with a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. That's ok, I plan to stay in, do some Valentine's Day baking for Adrian. He gave me my gift early, one that he made. I have to share, it was so thoughtful of him! And I love it.



Tomorrow night, we are going out for our Valentine's Day dinner. We love discovering new places. We never go out on the actual day, just celebrate in our own way. And we always try to make our own gifts.

We are currently at 9°. Tomorrow is supposed be sunny with a high of 29°. Our nasty weather comes on Sunday, with a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.
