I went online and looked at this. You are right that it is so sad. Why do people do things like this?

If anyone is looking for something to watch on TV tonight, and if you are interested in true crime stories, 48 Hours is on CBS soon. The story they're featuring is called "Desperate Measures", and it's about a murder in my hometown. I followed the trial, and it's a sad, yet interesting story.

I don't know...
It was surreal to watch the episode, and see my town and all of the beauty in it, and have such horrible things happen there. It really is God's country, as they call it. I feel for the family & friends. There was no DNA evidence, just circumstantial. Glad I wasn't on that jury. The son made some really bad choices, and lied throughout the investigation. In the end, I think those led to his conviction.

He made some stupid choices like writing that note but I find it hard to believe that he could have pulled it off without leaving any evidence behind. I don't think that I could of convicted him if I was on the jury.

What a storm ! We didn't get power back until late last night it was so cold in the house wishing I had a fireplace . I feel bad for those who still don't have power back on some have been told it could be 3 to 5 days .

I am glad you got your power back, how much snow did you get?

Good afternoon,

Not much planned here today, just a day of relaxing. After shoveling yesterday, we slept for almost 10 hours last night. I had a dream that Christmas 2013 was already here and we had no decorations up and no shopping done. I was happy it was Christmas but stressing nothing was done.

Enjoy your Sunday!

I was thinking the same thing, made. I don't think he has it in him.

With all this talk of baking, I better get started!

Those cookies looked so good!

We Just ventured out into the sleet and freezing rain, to take Har for a walk. We thought it would be fun ;-) A little girl was getting out of her car with her dad, and asked us why we were so silly going for a walk in the rain! Haha! It was cute.

Here's the hat I wore:

Adrian teases me about it. I love it!! Lol.
You guys were talking about hats before… What would you call this one?!

Not smiling today, like in the picture yesterday. We spent over an hour working on the driveway, and didn't get enough cleared to get even one of the cars out. The snow piles are shoulder-high---tough to raise a shovelful of snow that high to dump it. So we came back in and were able to reach our plow guy. He hadn't been by because his plow blade broke and he had to borrow another truck. But he'll be by later today. It was very discouraging to work that hard and still be snowed in.

So glad you have power back and are warming up again. And so sorry to hear that you had to ride out the storm without power. We were so lucky. We lost it twice, but for only a few hours each time. How much snow did you get where you are? I think we got a little over two feet.

Wayne and I didn't do too much yesterday, just ran a few errands and was home early. We are both fighting off a cold. We didn't even go out for lunch like we usually do. We stayed in and ate a bunch of healthy food and loaded up on vitamins. It seems to be helping! Well, Wayne did dive into some chips and dip but that's okay!

Okay everyone, just because I try to eat healthy all the time doesn't mean for you all not to offer me some virtual treats, cookies, cakes, ice cream, candy and more on here! I got to be able to "eat" it somewhere! I love that stuff, it just doesn't love me! :D (It's not fun being me sometimes ). Keep enjoying all the goodies and "send" some my way!!! =)

Take care of that cold---and here's a little treat.

I have that dream a few times each year ... it's awful, feeling like you've missed the Christmas season and Christmas is upon you without the fun of the anticipation.

Ha! That's definitely an appropriate name!! ;)

I love the aviator ones, too! Lol.

Must be age, now I love to have fun with hats… Well you would never have caught me with one of these back in my teenage years!

I hate working that hard with no sense of accomplishment (that's one of the reasons why I want to leave my job). Those cupcakes remind me that Red Sox Pitchers & Catchers report today and Spring Training starts Thursday!

It would be terrible to miss the anticipation. That is part of the fun!
