Good Morning, Wonderful Weekend Wassail Wishers.

First Weekend of 2013!

And we awake to this:
Days to the Season: 312
Days to Christmas Day: 354
And just look how close we are to single digits to Milestone #1, the 300-day Season Window!
Then, the next step is the one quarter Season mark.
Wow!

It was a tad warmer yesterday but still coolish. At least it was dry and sunny.
We are at 31 degrees here, currently.

Hey!
All the Christmas decorations are still up and lit at Crabtree Valley Mall. When I was there yesterday evening, it felt like we were still in the heart of the Christmas Season.
(And what a nice feeling that was to have in January!)

"Mama...it will terrible without the tree....but taking the decoration down is as much fun as putting it up.....at least now we are decorating the inside of the boxes"

when she said that...I smiled and hugged her...because she made something which was sad for her...into something kinda positive

I can't believe Christmas is over!?

Well, I was hoping to not get the Post Christmas blues this year,
because it lasted for months last year.
So Im still in 'Christmas moode' planning for Christmas 2013
Just ordered some Christmas cards for the exchange this year! =)

So, how is everybody doing here?
I miss you all so much!
Was hoping to catch up here..maybe later today!

Thanks, Cm3. I was off last night and crashed on the couch about 8:30 and DH and I went to bed about 9:30. I needed it though!

Good evening, Christmas family

A nice day today. Took off work (I am going to make at least part of it up tomorrow) and we went grocery shopping, stopped at the vet for more Lactated Ringers and more needles, and had breakfast at Bob Evans. It was cold but that is how January is SUPPOSED to be here.

Wish is doing well. We bought him different food today and he really seems to like it. Before I feed him though I have to sprinkle this powder on his food which is a phosphorus binder. I guess phosphorus can cause quite a problem with kidney disease. Plus we had to make sure the food was below 20% protein. We put him on canned Science Diet for senior adults, only 4% protein !

I am just so blessed to have him still with me. I know that could all change in a millisecond but I am hoping......

We will have blood work done either at the end of next week or beginning of the next to see how his kidney panel is (BUN, creatinine, etc). I am hoping and praying his BUN is closer to normal (30). It was 129 when he was admitted and 69 when he was discharged.

I put my advent calendars away today and it wasn't too bad. I still have my tree up. That is going to be the tough one.

I know there are many here at MMC who are sick - I am praying you all feel better.

Dawg - A special prayer for poor Snowball.....I HATE when animals get sick - They can't tell you where it hurts, xo.

I have now lost nearly all the weight I set out to. I have lost 20 pounds and just have 2.5 to go !!!!

I am sitting here listening to RJD and the top 100 Christmas songs on MCR. Every hour my new Christmas carol clock goes off. It is a Kincaid clock that I got after Christmas for $4.00!

So do I, Xmas! When I see things in an antique store or consignment shop I think of Shellie and Meceka. Every time I go to Starbucks, I think of Binger. For some odd reason, whenever I think of Sesame Street, I think of Crown. Why? Because of the Count (down)!

When I do the dishes I think of Made.

I think I am going to either watch a Christmas movie or read a Christmas book. Right now I have Music Choice on (by the way, I got a reply stating they could not have all Christmas music until they are able to expand their channels or something like that :-o)

I have to wake Wish up in a few seconds to give him his cardiac meds which I hate doing. I would rather let him sleep, poor little sweet guy.

I don't know what has happened. Maybe a strained muscle? I would think if I broke them from coughing I would have felt a real sharp pain immediately when it happened. I just woke up New Years Eve morning and they were hurting.

Hubby is down at the Elks Lodge to supervise the Cub Scouts as they watch Cars 2 for movie night. I stayed home to rest my last few days before school starts on Monday. I am really not looking forward to going back to work. I truly hope I can keep up with the kids. We shall see!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!! We are now approaching 110 hours below freezing here in central Indy but that should change later today. Hopefully. Of course then more snow is going to move in overnight but we should only get a dusting. I'm still feeling kind of blah today but I've got to get stuff done. I never made it to the store yesterday, so I need to head there today. I also have to babysit my youngest niece for awhile. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
