Okay, who is going to plan it???

Thank you! I will!! Believe me, I was nervous when Har needed to go out @ 1:00. Paranoid is more like it! And then she never went =[ She gets antsy when he leaves, too. Ironically, it's much safer here than Vegas. Don't know why I got so spooked.

I wish you guys were here, too!! Har & Wish would love each other! And we'd talk non-stop :) xo

Awwwww... It would be so much fun..it is natural to be spooked in a new environment...the first few months I lived in this house with David when he went on nights I didn't sleep !! I hope things settle down for you xoxo

I think I posted on here about an "article" I read from either Cracked or Mad Magazine in the late 60s about a comparison/contrast between Lincoln and Kennedy. After each connection, the author wrote "pretty eerie," in the drawn out way of the magazine. Anyway, CM3, last night I read your recent blog; and I kept saying, "Pretty eerie." You see, one day before I started school, Mother received a huge, heavy package. She had it set down in the back room and closed the door. She then called each of us kids (five of us) one at a time into the back room, closed the door each time, and talked to us about what was in the box. Inside were brand new, brown Compton's Encyclopedias. When she called me in, she took me up on her lap and showed me one of the books and talked to me about it. Then she let me choose one to look at with her. I will never forget that I chose Volume B and just fell in love with reading. That book had the most gorgeous pictures of birds, especially the blue jay. That helped me along my path to becoming a teacher and life-long reader, just like you!!! Pretty eerie! We are SO much alike and have had so many similar experiences!!! Again I say, pretty eerie!

I am honored to have such similarities to you, my dear friend ! xoxo

Awwww..thanks Made !! If I wasn't old enough to be your mom and if I wasn't already married, I would propose !! You are just too sweet !

As I said earlier, I went to my Workman's Comp doctor for what I thought would be the final shoulder checkup. I told him about the pain I have been having and about the "new" pain that started in my shoulder about three weeks ago. I told him how it feels like a popping sound and pain when I make certain movements. He asked me if I have any neck pain. I said, "How did you know?" Then he went on to say I probably have a complete rotator cuff tear. He ordered an MRI to better make that determination. Just looking at the regular xray he took today, he said it does not appear to be cancer (which was my concern because of all the pain that does not seem to subside). As soon as I find out, I will let y'all know!

I'm glad it's not cancer, but a rotator cuff tear is no walk in the park ... my supervisor and a friend of ours have both had the repair surgery. On the other hand, that may seem like a walk in the park after the cancer surgery and radiation, especially if it cures that persistent pain. Please keep us posted.

Good morning everyone!
It would make me very happy if I could jump in and count down with all of you every once in a while. I hope its alright.
I am having a cup of coffee right now and listening to the local news. I'm going to walk my dogs in a few minutes. Its about 35 degrees outside right now, it isn't going to get much warmer than that today. Not too much planned for today. My husband had to be on a job in the city early this morning so he will be gone for a while. I'm going to take my girls out to lunch and then visit my parents.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Please, jump in anytime you like! The more the merrier!

Twenty-seven hours later and three hours asleep on the floor of the airport in Cincy....and I'm home.

Off to bed....catch up later! Have a great Saturday.

..but the upper east coast from NC up to New England watch out there is suppose to be a storm...anyhow have a great day everyone!

Oh, jeez, not again! We're enjoying our first weekend in a month without a winter storm in it! Thanks for the heads-up!

More pretty eerie ... I had a similar experience with World Book, without the mysterious box. We had a full set of World Book, and when I was little I loved to lug out a volume, any volume, and browse through it, reading whatever caught my interest. I also had three volumes of Tell Me Why, but they always seemed like "kiddie stuff" to me, compared with the World Book. I'm sure I absorbed good spelling, grammar, and punctuation as well as a lot of info from those books. And my mom got a kick out of telling her friends I read the encyclopedia!

Why let that stop us. We can run away to the north pole together. You can work with the polar bears and I'll help out in the workshop!!!!

(Disclaimer- I'm Joking!!! I'm not actually suggesting that CM3 leaves her husband so we can run away together)
