I feel terrible for people with waterfront homes on the North and South Shores of Massachusetts. They're getting terribly pounded with flooding and heavy winds, and were pounded back in February during the blizzard---some of the homes are beginning to collapse from foundation damage from the beaches being pounded with waves and wind.

This storm is hundreds of miles out to sea, but still packing heavy snow and winds. They didn't predict that it would intensify the way it did.

I'm grateful to be indoors working from home with my mug of cocoa and my laptop, but I feel so awful for those losing their homes and property.

I'm on Long Island and that is how it is on our north and south shores. Ever since Hurricane Sandy, it has been one thing after another. People are still trying to rebuild and put their homes back together. Areas were flooded again the past two days with this latest storm. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

Thanks for the reminder, MerryBells.

Wow, I was disappointed that we didn't have any of the snow storm, but now I'm glad it missed us!

It's been a hectic week here; I've been lurking for a few minutes at a time, but really haven't had time to do much else. Thought I'd take a minute to wish everyone a good weekend. Have fun!

Don't forget DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS this weekend. Put your clocks an hour forward.

Stay safe and have some fun!!!

Good morning,

I called out sick again today, which was probably a good thing since we have already gotten 15-17 inches of snow and it is still coming down pretty heavy. The news said last night 4-6 inches total. Another day of rest awaits me, everyone is home for a snow day since schools were cancelled.
Enjoy your day.

You're welcome to it. We weren't expecting a storm of this magnitude, and it's getting scary. The news is showing a house on the shoreline on Plum Island that is dangling at a 45-degree angle over the water; it'll plunge into the ocean during the next high tide. You can see the personal belongings from the house falling in the ocean and drifting out to sea. I tried to shovel, but I can't get my car free, even though Mr. shoveled before he left for work. And there's more snow in the roadway than in the part of the driveway I shoveled. I'm hoping Mr. can get home from work safely this evening. The flooding on the coastline is dreadful. It was pretty seeing it out the window earlier today; now it's upsetting.
We pray Mr gets home ok and that all of you stay safe. I wouldn't want the flooding but would love the snow. Here in the mountains, we are blessed that we would just stay home and not go to work. With no snow removal here, we have to stay home.

Good morning, Christmas friends. I have already had coffee and just switched to hot spiced mandarin orange tea. I have a sinus headache and stuffy head. Ick! I just made an appointment for the shoulder MRI on next Tuesday. I will be glad to get this fixed and have the pain go away! Not much is planned for today except to rest and drink lots of fluids!

Xmas & Seawaters, thinking of you guys. Hope you can rest up today, and feel better soon!!

Everyone affected by the snow storms & flooding, stay safe out there!

Heh, heh, heh....

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's still a little chilly down here this morning, in the mid-30's. It's supposed to be in the upper 60's this weekend, though. Bernie's is going to ride in the parade with me tomorrow morning. We're driving a MINT '57 Chevy that my brother is storing for a customer of his. Don't worry; I have permission to use the car! It should be fun!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Hope you are feeling Better !!! The Chevy sounds sweeet !!! xo

Good morning everyone!

Friday. The weekend is nearly upon us. Let's hope it will be a good one! The forecast in Ottawa calls for highs of 5c (41f) and 7c (45f). Perfect for an early March weekend. Kim and I are both busy on Saturday night with birthdays. A close friend of hers is having her party in one area and my friend is having his around the corner from our apartment. I also agreed to attend a sporting event with our roommate Mike, so I won't be able to make her friend's party. I'll just have to attend my friend's instead. It should be a good time!

Tonight, Kim and I have agreed to go see Oz: The Great and Powerful. She loves the Wizard of Oz. I have always been indifferent. I somewhat enjoyed the book. The cast is pretty star-studded and the animation looks excellent. We'll see how it goes!

I hope everyone has a great final day of the work week. Only one more week until our next milestone. Enjoy!

Let us know how you like Oz. It looks interesting as long as Hollywood doesn't "monsterize" it too much ! xo

Do you know what her name is? I use to buy a lot of the brunettes for my girls, because that is their hair color. Most of them were named Teresa, but that was years and years ago. She is so pretty!

Not sure if this one really has a name....She was just listed under 2013 Holiday Barbie....I just LOVE her dress ! xo

I know what you mean. I have been trying to stay mindful of the storm. Praying for all those affected by it..I am so glad you are working from home....xo

I have been collecting Barbies for my daughter ever since she was born. Every year (she's 18 now), she still gets a Holiday Barbie for Christmas and throughout the year, every once and awhile, i will buy her a special/ limited issue one. She never opens them up. They're all tucked away, nice and neat in big boxes for the future.

That is so great !! She must have quite a collection. That is the smart thing to do - keeping them unopened. Of course, I am not that smart. I always open mine and put them in a case......:-D
