I agree with you totally, Merry. The same can also be said for surviving suicide. It is not the same thing but in a way, it is because you find out who your REAL friends are. I was looked at as damaged and ostracized by some and just plain written off as a friend to others when my first husband passed 20 years ago. I found out quickly that some people are all for you unless suicide comes into the picture - That seems to change perceptions of many, though not all. Now, I am sorry for my outburst but I felt it needed to be said. I guess the long and short of it is REAL friends stick with a person, as we all will with Seawaters, no matter what...Peace to you my friend xo
Another case would be when you take care of your elderly parents - I found out who my real friends were then. Although it was very upsetting at the time it happened, in the long run it is better to know. I'm very sorry you and MerryCarey had to go through such things. {{{Hugs}}} to you both!!!!
