I looked at the variegated yarns available at the store and they didn't seem right for Zoey, my grandniece, so I bought three large skeins of ivory Bernat. It is not a baby yarn, but it is so soft! I thought I might add a few rows of lilac after I finish off a skein of the ivory. I can do the border in lilac, too.

That sounds gorgeous!

Hello everyone!
I just got back from the mall. Pandora is running a special right now, if you buy at least $100 in Pandora jewelry you get one of their bracelets for free. I planned on getting one for my daughter as a gift for her high school graduation in June. So I bought her a few charms to get her started and the bracelet was free. Good deal! Anyway not too much going on for me this afternoon. I have a couple of quick errands to run and then some laundry to do. And I don't know if I mentioned that my husband is renovating our kitchen. He is doing the work all by himself so its taking a while. The mess is driving me crazy but I know its going to be worth it when he's done. I don't think I'm even going to try and get in there to cook dinner. Sunday is his only day off and I really don't want to get in his way. He got a lot done so far today, I want him to keep going! I'll probably just pick up pizza later.
I hope everyone is well and having a wonderful day!

Yes. I still cannot remember the movie I was thinking about! So frustrating! I think it was along the lines of Ernest or Home Alone or One Magic Christmas or The Night They Saved Christmas. I'll get it one of these days. It was mentioned when we discussed movies last week (I think it was last week!).

how about THE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE....i like that one alot too seawaters....:sparkle:

Aww...your husband sounds like such a great guy, and handy too !!

Love it...wish I was so talented!

You ARE talented !! You are one of the nicest people I have ever met here on MMC and you are/were a teacher right ? That takes an amazing talent xo. I will never get around to the afghan I showed as I don't even have the first idea about how to crochet.....I was just dreaming. I have always wanted a polar bear afghan or blanket since I love them so much !! I love both your avatar and your soggier ! Xo

Just checking in trying to get caught up with all the posts and seeing what everyone's up today. I had this really great idea yesterday, to try and tackle this huge pile of dirt and attempt to move it all over to my In-laws house. It was full of these large pieces of concrete, stones and clay and had been sittting there for about 5 years.

Needless to say, it was all by hand (shovel and wheelbarrow) and uphill to boot. Wheew, by the end of the day yesterday, I was about 1/3 of the way completed and so was I... I got up this morning and I forgot about how many muscles the human body has; ha-ha and everyone of them hurts! Oh baby, did a hot tub feel good to soak in! So today, I'm taking it a little easy, spending the day working on home videos again (still in my pj's - "what a bum", lol).

In a couple of hours, we are going to head over to Bertucci's for dinner (Oh, can't beat their brick oven fired thin crust pizzas) and besides, my son, his girlfriend and best friend all work there so we're going to go over there and harrass them for a little while, best of all he can wait on us, (he loves that part) lol... Then it will be on the road to drop my daughter back off at college later (spring break is over for her) and then hopefully, get back in time tonight to watch the Hobbit tonight; the mrs bought it for me yesterday.

Weekends, why can't they last longer? Man, it seems like they just fly by and before you know it, it's Monday morning and off to work again...Yuck; I think that should be outlawed....Oh well, I think a big bowl of ice cream and a movie is well deserved tonight....

Good afternoon, MMC friends! How are you all? I am well. Just sitting here relaxing, watching one of my favorite shows and going to catch up here a little bit. DH had to teach today and had to leave early, so the kids went with him to his parents house. They still aren't home yet...not sure when they will be.

What is new with all of you? Not much going on here. I am off tonight. We're supposed to get another snow storm. As of right now, they are calling for 3-6 inches of snow. I am glad I don't have to drive in it.

Any plans for tonight? I don't know if we have anything planned or not. We will probably just stay home and hang out.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday! I am going to get caught up on the posts. God Bless and keep smiling!

Hope every one has a happy Saturday. Not sure what we're doing today, I just know it's not work so I'm happy!

Talk to y'all later.

What a cute picture!

Merry Carey, I went to a site called http://ravelry.com Hope this link works!

It shows me the login page for Ravelry. I've heard of it, but I haven't registered. I'm a little leery of registering for things, but one of these days I could break down and get on Ravelry.

hi sugar142286...have a fantastic christmassy afternoon/evening....:sparkle:

Good Morning MMC!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high in the mid 40's. Then winter arrives late tonight. It looks like we are still on track for 6 to 10 inches of snow by Monday morning. Booo!!! All of the talk about convention last night led to me having an awesome dream. Instead of going to Louisville or Detroit, I convinced all of you to just fly here to Indianapolis. That way we were in between Santa Claus, Indiana and Bronners. Then Instead of renting hotel rooms, all of you stayed here at my apartment building since all of my neighbors have spare bedrooms and air mattresses. It was like a giant sleep over that involved setting up a TV in the yard for Christmas movies and Caroling in the middle of summer. Then we went out and rented a couple of passenger vans and made an overnight trip to Santa Claus, IN. Then we came back here for a few days show I could show you around town. Then we made another overnight trip up to Bronner's and camped out in tents in Meceka's front yard. It was a blast and a little weird. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds awesome! I love that idea!
