Christmas Countdown - 2013

Got home around 10ish and found one of my students frantic. She couldn't find her student id that she needed to take her ACT test. So we went to the school and made her another student id, got her a calculator (which she forgot), and her ticket (which she also remembered she forgot). Got home around 11:30ish. Crashed, slept great....and woke up with allergies wearing me out! But thats ok....they make medicine for that and it's going to be a great day outside....going to get up to 65 and no breeze....BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I wish I had a principal like you when I was in high school!!!!!!!!!!


We had almost 4,000 students in our school though, so it would have been kind of tough for ours to get to know everyone.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a windy cool day here in Central Indy with a high near 50. It's going to be a long day here. My youngest niece refused to go to bed last night. It was 1am before she went to bed. Then she was back up at 3 and didn't go back to sleep until 5. Then she got up for good at 7. I see a nap in our future!!! But first, I'm going to put them to work dusting and running the sweeper. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're just resting up before our big day tomorrow. During the service I will be thinking of Louanne as well as my dad. Hoping it will bring me comfort for both of them.

We have a dinner at the Elks tonight to raise money for kids with special needs, especially kids with cerebral palsy. Because of Lily, my granddaughter, this is where I like to "spend my money." The man whose funeral we attended earlier today would bid on his own wine in the raffles and then donate it back to make even more money. He will be missed!

Aw, this made me tear up - what a wonderful thing he did!

When I wake up in the morning, my oldest will be an 8 year old. It seems like just yesterday I met him when he came into the world. My boys are growing so quickly.

Good day to all my wonderful Christmas friends. Hope we all have a lovely weekend. Today is daddy and baby girl day we woke up early watched sprout than made eggs and fresh Bacon from the pig we prossed. Rest day since its a little cool will be playing on the carpet and reading books.

Tomorrow me and wife will be meeting up with a local lady that does daycare from her house. She only watches about 5 to kids and she had an opening. I know this will be hard for harper since she has always stayed with my SIS in law. But my SIS in law is going to be moving a little to far for us to have her go to her house each day. So I can image it will be a tough few days. But since harper might be an only child, it might be best for her to learn to be around more kids.

Love you all enjoy this spring weekend and Christmas will be here soon.

It is a sniffle-ly kind of day here in more ways than one. The sun is trying very hard to come out - good thing as there are new kittens outside! Yay - I love kittens! They are a bright spot in this otherwise extremely dismal week. On tap is more basement pumping - it filled up quite fast last night. It might have slowed down a bit this morning - hope so!

She's a mix of a cavalier King Charles spaniel & a Japanese chin. They're called "cava-chins", but I just call her my perfect mutt!

Our friends dog had a litter almost 5 years ago, now, and I couldn't resist for too long!View attachment 1644

Attached is a pic of Harlowe on the left, with her sister, Summer.

We ultimately chose Har because she was so laid back & sweet. Summer was a doll, too, but hyper!! Lol.
