Christmas Countdown - 2013

Busy couple of days....last night I had a message all typed out (almost) and fell asleep typing it....I've done that like three times in the past week...my wife gets so tickled at me.

I haven't got to read anything from today, so forgive me if I have missed something important, but I wanted to come check in before I fall asleep tonight.

Weather is headed this way again. I watched my Martins today and I'm up to around 17-20. Best group I have ever had. But one of my poles is getting shaky. I'm going to try to firm it up tomorrow before the weather gets here.

I'm off to read what else happened today. Have a good one!

Now a Fertilizer plant has blown up outside of Waco, TX. It sounds like a nursing home collapsed because of the blast.

This sounds like it's going to get bad in Texas. From what I'm reading and hearing, the plant was on fire and firefighters were there trying to put it out when it blew.

Yeah. It's down right scary. I've seen what the EMS director is saying as far as what he fears the fatalities are going to be and I'm praying that he is wrong.

I came home from work yesterday to take a nap that ended up being 12 hours of deep dream laced sleep. I am making a habit of doing that. The funny thing is snowball stayed beside me the whole time even missing his dinner...so I got up and warmed up his food and mine took him outside and now I am debating whether or not to go back to sleep for 2 hours of just watch tv..at any rate I am listening to "morons in the news" and am lol'in at the guy who robbed a bank and his getaway car was a stick shift which of course he did not have a clue how to drive...he was 18...just the mental image of some dude trying to getaway with millions in cash start.stop.stall.etc etc is so funny..everyone needs a laugh at 3 am!! have a good morning mmc buddies!

Before I went back and read what you were talking about I assumed it was the Boston bombing. Wow that is bad now that I saw that video. Most I guess are of Firemen and emt's already at the scene. So sad!

No,I won't be in SLC until June 6th. but we have already been there to look around and stuff..I think I will like it.. and yes Hill AFB will be my new place of employment for the next 3 to 4 years. I will probably retire after that!

Good Morning, Fantastic Folks!

I see everyone has survived 'Pines Day and has returned to read yet another count figure:
Days to the Season: 209
Days to Christmas Day: 251
And there you have it -- SINGLE DIGITS to the 200-day Season Window.
And ONE WEEK from tomorrow we reach the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone.
Starting to close in there, Guys!

Great weather again yesterday with plenty of sun and no rain, coupled with warm temps.
The pollen returned, but wasn't bad.
We will see what today brings.
Currently, our back door thermometer reads 63 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
