Yay!!! We are going to need all of the help we can get if we want to break last year's posting record.

As long as we are here with the great friendships we have forged, and the love of Christmas, we already have broken all the records we need too.

Will I try to have fun helping break the posting record? you bet your bippy!

Thinking of you, my friend.

hiya sorry when you said did i read your post i thought you mean the 1st one only reading this one now

Come on , i no you can do this but really you have to not get stressed, and i no thats easy for me to say , i can do very easy but i was trained for it, so what am gonna say is please try and cut the stress, and you really do not need someone shouting at you
And i no wish is stressed to but its not hurting that much it wood be the same as a human, dogs do have a thing about even a wee pain ,
My advice wood be to talk to wish and pet him make him feel relaxed show him the needle, make sure he is confortabale when your doing it, by the way where are you putting it ???. as well if you pull the skin up a little like massage it before hand, it can sometimes dumb the skin or you can use maybe a ice cube
Last resort the vet should be able to give you a wee cream or a spray that you can use to freeze the skin so wish wood not feel it going in, as i no where your coming from about not wanting to hurt him, take the needle easy i wish i you were near i wood do it for you everyday
As well i can see why your huring your stressed your trying your best and there is not way anyone should be shouting at you, it so unfair i really hope he said sorry and mean it

TAKE CARE AND HUGS

Time to bring out my new desk calendar! Every year for a Christmas present, my mom buys me the Thomas Kinkade desk calendar. I just revealed the first picture and it is pretty with lots of snow!

Speaking of snow, I'm a little tired of it here. It has been nonstop since the day after Christmas. I am not the biggest fan of snow, except on Christmas Eve/Christmas, of course. Since my dad drives for a living and my brother has a long commute to work, I don't like to have to worry about them on the roads. We still have over a foot on the ground and it doesn't look like it's going away any time soon.

I am excited for our dinner today. Anyone else eat pork and sauerkraut? This dish is supposed to bring good luck for the New Year. It was a custom started by the Germans and then continued by the Pennsylvania Dutch. And no, I am not Pennsylvania Dutch. I am just Pennsylvania  I know plenty of you will be cringing and scrunching your nose at the word "sauerkraut" but the trick to make it taste good is to drain it and rinse it in cold water at least 3-4 times. This gets out all of the awful bitterness and then it tastes amazing when you cook it with the pork!

WOW!!! 11 pages deep into the 2013 countdown already! I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve, and an even better 2013!!!

As CAH said, we were in bed pretty early last night. This is probably the first year since I was a little kid that I didn't see the ball drop in Times Square. Of course living in the central time zone it is a bit anticlimactic since it is only 11:00 when it happens.

I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Same as it is every year, ball drops, everyone hugs and smooches, music that sounds extra crappy. TV host getting drunker. (Jenny McCarthy last night) She seemed blitzed by 1 am. Every year is almost like Why did I stay up and watch this?

ok.. here we go.. 16 days till first milestone,,, ohhhh yesssss,,,

yabbaaaaaaaaaa

everyone not here last night check out the last few pages of the 2012 thread.. lots of fun in the final hour,.....

Good morning, MMC!

I missed out on the Countdown to the New Year here as I went to bed at around 9 or so and was asleep by 9:30. I had a migraine yesterday ~ not the worst I've ever had, thank goodness, but bad enough. I am very pleased to say that it is gone  I have to work a few hours today as tomorrow I am going to the store for a day of stocking and rearranging. Even though it is dusty work, it should be a lot of fun! While I am out, I am going to check a few stores to see if there are any Christmas goodies leftover.

Take care, everyone, and have a wonderfully MERRY day!!

I will probably go Christmas clearance shopping on Thursday, after I renew my license.

Good morning and Happy New Year!

We had a good time last night ringing in the New Year watching Men In Black 3, pretty good movie. We tried Sparkling Cranberry juice last night as the ball dropped.

I am just sitting here with Christmas music on, in front of a warmly glowing tree, but that empty feeling is sitting in my belly as my wife and kids head back to work and school tomorrow and the season will be over. We have no real plans today, we used to go over my in-laws house for a meal on NYD but that stopped a few years ago. I hate I always feel so sappy on NYD, as my sulking kicks in.

I hope you all have a great 2013, and I will enjoy taking the journey to Christmas 2013 with all of you.

Have a great day!

I am sorry if anyone enjoyed Jenny, but wow, I couldn't stand her! You could tell around 11:30 or so her voice was almost gone because it was cracking constantly. All she kept doing the entire night was screaming at the top of her lungs, dancing around aimlessly, and kind of falling into people (it looked like it anyway). Just because you are hosting a NYE/NY program doesn't mean that you have to scream the whole time! Most of us are at home watching and we really don't want to hear you shrieking at the top of your lungs. Aside from that, I didn't think Ryan Seacrest was too shabby. I think they paid a nice tribute to Dick Clark, and I really do like that they kept the name of the program the same. It only seems right!

I could have used some better entertainment, though. Perhaps without Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift...

Good morning MMC and Happy 2013! So glad to be here for the new count snd be part of it once again. Thanks Crown for your continued dedication!

How is everyone doing? All is well here. DH is working and I have dinner cooking in crockpots. I am having my entire family over. My sister and her boyfriend are here now. They spent the night last night. We had went out for dinner, then went out for a drink, but I could barely keep my eyes open. I was going on almost 24 hours of no sleep, so I needed bed bad. I fell asleep on the couch around 9:30 or so, then DH woke me up to see the ball drop.

I hope you all have a great day! Here's to a great 2013 with all of you!

It definitely wasn't the same without Dick Clark.

Happy New Year, everyone! And Happy New Countdown Thread! Looks like you people have been busy while I was still sleeping. We're getting ready to go to my Sister's for a late lunch/early dinner, and then we'll come home and relax. Wow, the holidays went by fast this year. But then, they always go by too fast for me. Well, Christmas is only 357 days away, so I guess I'll start getting ready.
