I usually don't turn on the lights past NYE but as yesterday was such a dismal day and today is SO MUCH better I turned on the lights a few seconds ago.

Good evening Christmas family

Thank you for seeing me through a really rough start to the New Year. When we gave Wish his fluids today I tried a different site - right at about his shoulder blades. It worked very well - no crying on his part which is such a relief. He has been being a finicky eater these past few days though and I have had to give him some of his regular food mixed with a renal diet food and turkey. At least for now he ate everything.

Track - I hope you are feeling better soon !!

Take care Christmas family - I may be back later xoxoxo

We are here for you CM3, keep those Christmas lights shining as long as you need!

I just had my first PCB related meltdown, tucking in my boys for bed, they go back to school, and the love of my life goes back to work. I started crying because I don't want them to go back. I still have 2 more days left of my vacation. First Christmas being over, and now my family heads back to the real world. There is only so much a certified Christmas nut can handle after the holidays.

Well said - very true!!!! I still have that icky feeling to think about going back to the grind though!!!

You are so right...it IS "THIS YEAR" That makes me feel better already! ;-)

Me too ... I was just trying to be positive about it, but in reality, I have that "icky feeling" about it awfully strong. Must try to think positive, anyway ...

Does anyone know what to put on skin burns? I burned my thumb taking out the food...brandi says milk..I have always used aloe from the plant but we don't have an aloe plant anymore...nothing is worse than a burn.lol

Yes. Get those cold packs that they sell for headaches. You want to keep it cold, but not ice-cold---you don't want frostbite. Or wrap a bag of frozen peas in a towel and use it as a cold compress,

anybody knows what to do against a sore throat?j
heck it m ight even be an ear infection...and I will probably have to go see the doc tomorrow morning....not cool...i am almost sick for two weeks now...had gone to the doc on christmas eve and he found nothing....of course it was a cold but nothing that needs to be treated with antibiotics or penicilin...well...I guess it has gotten worst....

i have taken a painkiller now and hope to be able to sleep at night

Hot tea with plenty of honey and lemon juice, several times a day. You can also gargle with a mild solution of salt water. Clear broth can be soothing, too.

As a wise man once said, We are here for you, XMas xo

In the next few days, it'll be time to take down the trees and pack away the decorations. It'll be too sad to listen to Christmas music while doing that. Any ideas what would be more cheerful listening while doing that chore? There's no music I like as we'll as Christmas music, but I have to put it away until I'm back in non-holidays mode.

I don't think I usually listen to anything when I do it, I do it in silence so I can focus on getting everything down quickly. I am dreading listening to my regular music at this point. 2 straight months of nothing but Christmas music has spoiled me. I know I will be back to listening to The Move, The Beatles and so on but right now I still just want to hear Bing, Nat, and so on.

The last of the Christmas movies is on Hallmark tonight. Right now I am watching Moonlight And Mistletoe. I doubt that I will be awake for the rest of or the last one which is a repeat of Mistletoe And Moonlight. I sure am going to miss being able to turn on a Christmas in the middle of the night when I wake up unable to sleep.

Have a very Christmassy evening dear Christmas family xoxoxo

Thanks everyone for the tips on my burn..I thought it would never stop hurting but I put ice cubes in a plastic bag and pretty soon they were melting into cold water and it felt better..had to keep it compressed for 4 hours though before I could take it away and feel no burning..it reminded me of those awful sunburns I use to get as a kid I would lay awake all night and cry...anyhow I went later to the grocery store and noticed a few people still have their lights up in the yards and on the houses...I am watching the last few movies of hallmarks 2012 Christmas programs...I will have to leave right before it officially ends at 6am..but it's not like its'anything special they just go right to the next program.lol but I guess I better take myself to the gym in the morning and try to get back on a schedule...I hope everyone has a good night..and to all of those suffering from PCB I hear ya and am with ya!

I am recording Moonlight & Mistletoe tonight, I heard so many good things about it so I'll give it a whirl.

caninemom3...feel exactly the same way! No matter how many times I've seen the same movies on Hallmark, I liked turning the TV on at any given time and finding something festive to watch...back to the reruns of Frasier and Little House on the Prairie I guess- Boo....

Everyone is making me depressed! This is why I am not a fan of New Years Eve or New Years. I am selfish and think of all of the time from mid November to the beginning of January as strictly for Christmas. I can't believe the time has passed already and we'll all be taking our decorations down. It something that I hate to do. It's much more fun to plug in the lights and decorate my tree compared to taking it all down. Ugh. I dread the three gloomy winter months ahead. Jan, Feb, and March seem to drag on forever.

Is it Nov 2013 yet?

Keep something Christmassy up in your room all year long, I have a small leg lamp as my bedside light. I have a few Christmas books close by when I need them to just get me through the long year.

Time for some TV, my friends. I have not had a good two days. Not able to eat and just feeling blah. We went out last night, but all I ordered was English muffin and only ate half. I feel so tired and just can't shake it! TTYT

Lovely idea, Xmas. I think I will try it!
