hi there everyone....watching the Chipmunks movie right now...been at the doctor this morning....the sore throat is nothing serious...just a second infect on top of the old one...but still nothing that would make antibiotics necessary....still...I should use nose spray...not too often tho...drink lots of teas with honey, gargle, rest and he said it is ok for me to take pain killers against the sore throat...since it is really bad at nights....so i will be doing all of that and hope that I will be recovering soon

Hoping you feel better, Track xo

I know what you mean, when I see something like a Santa, I think Made would like that, or animal or polar bear I think of CM3, classic movies I think of you MC, and so on. Even though we never have met, I think of all of you also.

Awww...Thanks Xmas !! xocheesy

Good evening,

My interview went well, I am hoping to get the callback for another interview this evening. After the interview, I went to the mall and looked for Christmas Clearance stuff, I bought a DVD with both Prancer and Blizzard on it for only $2.49 at The Christmas Tree Shops, they had a lot of other items also, but nothing I wanted, at another store I bought 2 boxes of C7 lights for 50% off so I don't have to have such a hard time finding them next year. Back to work tomorrow for the first time in 2013, not looking forward to it, I was hoping to head back with a 2 week notice to give them.

ttyl

I am sure you will get a call !! xo

Good morning everyone.

I am up early to get some work done. I was up most of the night as my mom was really sick. She had stomach pains and a burning sensation in her stomach all day/night long to the point where it made her sick. Not sure if it is related to her sickness or not, but we're hoping a fluke. Time will tell, but she still has the pains now. Not the best way to start off 2013 so please keep her in your prayers.

It's going to be a long day! I am exhausted so I think I am going to have to take a nap soon. Plus I have lots of work to do and a lot to prepare for starting back at school soon.

Drive safe to work and have a good day!

I hope your Mom feels better very soon. I will pray for her!

Ok everyone, the dirty word of today is WORK!!!!

We get in this morning and first thing, there is an email telling us to be in the large conference room at 9:00 am. We get there and it starts with,
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all our employees! Then we receive a blah, blah, blah, etc..., for an hour and a half on how bad the economy is, tough times ahead, they forsee at least another 2-3 years of bad times because of the current administration and their policies and bad decisions for business, etc.... Also, we will all see a change in our paychecks with additional taxes coming out. We have to all tighten our belts, be more productive, give back more to the company! Oh, the company did buy a new Keurig coffee machine, but you need to buy your own coffee to use in it; HUH???

So, I'll put in a another way; from what I heard thru my ears:

Times are tough,
And things are hard,
so here's your (a PG rated blank space here) Christmas card!

(Sorry for that, but that just really sets me off the deep end knowing full well that the management got their bonuses and raises and we get a new coffee machine that we have to buy our own coffee inorder to use it!)

Yup, just a lovely way to start a New year! No raises again, No nothing! The prices of everything has gone up and still going up and our salaries remain flat. I guess I should be happy that they haven't started cutting people loose, yet!!! I guess that will be in a matter of time!

Ugggh, I'm mad and it's not even lunch yet. I should be quiet, or they might take that away next!!!!

bless...I TOTALLY understand your anger. don't you just love how big business will spend, spend, spend on crap they feel is necessary but all the BIG CUTS start @ the bottom w/ us. wonder where we can find those rose colored glasses they look around from? 1 cut to some of their crap would more than equal 20 big cuts to the little people. i didn't mean to laugh but i did, out loud, when i read y'all have to buy your own coffee for the kuerig. what a joke. why not buy 5 $20 coffee pots & 5 huge cans of coffee? freakin ridiculous! such is life in the big house huh?

Now this is precious!

Oh, my ranting earlier about work was most likely set off this morning by starting the car and realizing that there is this green fluid running down the asphalt. So I took it to the garage and they called me first thing and told me I need a new radiator, new hoses and my transmission fluid needs replacing; apparently....

Man, that's not going to be cheap. I popped the hood of the car and looked inside and you cannot even get your hand in there at all to work on it with so much stuff in the way. They are going to have to tear half the front end of the car off in order to get to the radiator, talk about a labor intensive job. You know that's going to cost me!

I feel like I'm starting this year off on a negative note (in the red), with the car breaking down, me, destroying my garage door, my daughters college tution bill just came in the mail, along with the property tax bill (boy, uncle Sam is never late on that now, is he?), lol....

I need to work some overtime or hit the powerball..... What is it that they say, it's something like you need to work about 4 months of the year and give 100% of your earnings to the goverment and the rest of the years earnings is all yours? I'm not sure, but it's something similiar like that....

I will be praying for your situation.

Wooohoooo!

I just got my phone call for a final interview for the job on Tuesday.

I hope this is the right choice!

haven't been around but good luck w/ this job interview.

Hey Everyone! Im sorry I have been out of the loop for the last 48 hours...terrible stomach bug I have literally lived in the restroom the last 2 nights..I think I am getting better though..I live on ginger ale and clear broth... Just getting caught up and I see a lot of us are sick, and under the weather...some are looking for new jobs etc...some are having cut backs at work too..I hope everyone that is sick gets better...and I hope everyone looking for a new job gets it if its a better one and I hope everyone that is having what seems like awful luck..starts getting good luck for a change!!!

Sounds like a good resolution. I am big on The Marx Brothers, my favorites are "Duck Soup", and "A Night At The Opera." I like the classic horror movies like "Frankenstein," "Bride Of Frankenstein," "Dracula," and so on.

The Marx Brothers---you have good taste!

When Gloria worked at Universal, she used to watch them putting the makeup on Frankenstein's monster and the Wolfman. What a memory to cherish!

I would just like everyone to know that I have been working nonstop since 7 AM. It is 7 PM here now and I am still going with constant emails.

Someone make me a peppermint hot chocolate? :(

I was wondering where you were. I thought you got stuck in all the McAdenville traffic!!!

Hello everyone! sorry I have been MIA for so long. there's been lots going on & just could not stop by @ all.

Our house is very somber w/out all the Christmas decor around. Big bummer!

I hope everyone is well, safe, & happy! I will be back when I have a bit more time....:rudolph:

Keeping you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers.

On Made's advice, I bought two trees that are connected to the computer. I think I will leave those out. I need a little Christmas!

Same here. I think the decorations will be coming off the trees little by little, then the trees will be packed away this weekend to "recharge" for next year.

For me, leaving the decorations up longer is a little sad. I usually take them down a little after New Year's to clear the way for the Christmas that's on the way. I have a little dollar-store tree figurine that I may leave out year round.

After having been here a few years, when I see anything pertaining to Christmas, I think of all of you. And that's a good thing!

You have a good wife there, TButler!!!

The tree and all decorations are already down here. Since we go for the biggest tree we can find (and this year's was HUGE), our family room always feels so big when we pull it out. Feels nice for a few days. Lots more room to watch TV. Still, sad to see all the decorations go. The only thing still up is my Christmas village, which my wife allows me to keep up until the warm weather hits!
