I am up early to get some work done. I was up most of the night as my mom was really sick. She had stomach pains and a burning sensation in her stomach all day/night long to the point where it made her sick. Not sure if it is related to her sickness or not, but we're hoping a fluke. Time will tell, but she still has the pains now. Not the best way to start off 2013 so please keep her in your prayers.
Praying she gets better!

A quick good night to all. Infusion and MRI tomorrow. CM3, glad Wish is doing better. Thinking of your uncle, Sugar.
Take care!!!
getting ready for leaving to the doctor....this sore throat just won´t get better....so the doctor needs to check it!!!
I hope the doctor can help you out so you can get well!
Morning all! busy day getting the house back to normal! Just before xmas the girls painted some xmassy pictures that i put on a notice board that I have up in my kitchen, they can stay there, makes me smile everytime I look at them hehe!!
Aww... That is sweet!

I have a wall full of pictures that my grandchildren have colored. Anything they color that is Christmasy, they tell their parents they have to bring it to me. They know me so well! =)
Isn't it great to be alive to countdown once again?
Yes it is!

I woke up to all the Christmas lights on in the house. I just love when Wayne has the house lit up before I wake up! It's just so pretty and I'm not ready to take it down just yet.

My grandchildren will be here shortly so I am going to try to read a little more on here before I sign out for awhile.

Take care and think Merry Thoughts!!!

Ah!
Sadness indeed.

Today marks the start of Christmas decoration removal at the Crown household.
Hard to do, but as my coffee-saturated Mystery Twin pointed out, to not do it would de-specialize the Season.

And to look forward to next Season's decorating, this Season's must depart!
(Carefully, and lovingly packed away of course!)

But I think I will leave our door wreaths up a few more days. Keep a bit of the cheer going a bit longer.

Same here. I think the decorations will be coming off the trees little by little, then the trees will be packed away this weekend to "recharge" for next year.

For me, leaving the decorations up longer is a little sad. I usually take them down a little after New Year's to clear the way for the Christmas that's on the way. I have a little dollar-store tree figurine that I may leave out year round.

After having been here a few years, when I see anything pertaining to Christmas, I think of all of you. And that's a good thing!

the closest Great Wolf Lodge here is in Niagara Falls. But it is so expensive, I do not think we would ever go. It does look like it would be fun.

It is expensive, but a couple of times a year they have a "Half-price Sale" they advertise on their email they send out. Half price doesn't make it cheap, but it does help! But I'm with you...it's expensive!

The tree and all decorations are already down here. Since we go for the biggest tree we can find (and this year's was HUGE), our family room always feels so big when we pull it out. Feels nice for a few days. Lots more room to watch TV. Still, sad to see all the decorations go. The only thing still up is my Christmas village, which my wife allows me to keep up until the warm weather hits!

I always hate how big the living room feels when we take the tree out. I always find myself looking in the direction where the tree should be. Eventually I appreciate the space, but not for a while. My house always feels so plain after the tree and decorations come down.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm fighting a virus on my laptop today. Grrrr. A/V software failed me. Luckily, I don't keep much info on the laptop. I think I'll just format the harddrive and start over.

My brother and I worked on my old car till 9pm last night, getting ready to sandblast the front end. It's messy, but I love working on it.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

sometimes friends can be much closer and more special than family!

Dont i no it lol

Good morning everyone.

Hi folks!!! Hoping I don't have any typos because my kitten is attacking the screen as I type!! Merry 2013! We are on the way to Christmas already! It's THIS YEAR! :)

Merry 2013, to you, judesmama! I know, Christmas is getting closer by the second! :???: Palmer is jumping up the walls as I type ~ she is a pistol today!

People don't understand that. We had a home here get hit last night by a stray bullett. It came down through the roof and hit the footboard of a bed with a 2 year old in it.

That is horrible!

I'm Pennsylvania dutch and still can't stand sauerkraut!!! I've tried it prepared all kinds of ways but I just can't do it. I have a pork loin in the crock pot though.

I had my friend Gus's homemade sauerkraut ~ it was good and it didn't stink the house up, either. I simmered the frozen sauerkraut in a cup of water until heated through and added some hardwood smoked chicken sausage on top ~ yummo!

Happy New Year (and 8th day of Christmas)! Anybody making a special meal today? My husband made gumbo last night--yummy! Today we'll be having black eyed peas with cabbage on the side--black eyed peas for luck and cabbage for wealth. My husband's eating head cheese for luck today too--I told him he could eat my share as well (yuck, shudder.)

I can't even look at the stuff! Long story short ~ I used to read horror comic magazines and that is one story I will never forget!

Ok everyone, the dirty word of today is WORK!!!!

We get in this morning and first thing, there is an email telling us to be in the large conference room at 9:00 am. We get there and it starts with,
Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all our employees! Then we receive a blah, blah, blah, etc..., for an hour and a half on how bad the economy is, tough times ahead, they forsee at least another 2-3 years of bad times because of the current administration and their policies and bad decisions for business, etc.... Also, we will all see a change in our paychecks with additional taxes coming out. We have to all tighten our belts, be more productive, give back more to the company! Oh, the company did buy a new Keurig coffee machine, but you need to buy your own coffee to use in it; HUH???

So, I'll put in a another way; from what I heard thru my ears:

Times are tough,
And things are hard,
so here's your (a PG rated blank space here) Christmas card!

(Sorry for that, but that just really sets me off the deep end knowing full well that the management got their bonuses and raises and we get a new coffee machine that we have to buy our own coffee inorder to use it!)

Yup, just a lovely way to start a New year! No raises again, No nothing! The prices of everything has gone up and still going up and our salaries remain flat. I guess I should be happy that they haven't started cutting people loose, yet!!! I guess that will be in a matter of time!

Ugggh, I'm mad and it's not even lunch yet. I should be quiet, or they might take that away next!!!!

anybody knows what to do against a sore throat?j
heck it m ight even be an ear infection...and I will probably have to go see the doc tomorrow morning....not cool...i am almost sick for two weeks now...had gone to the doc on christmas eve and he found nothing....of course it was a cold but nothing that needs to be treated with antibiotics or penicilin...well...I guess it has gotten worst....
