When I broke three of my ribs, I didn't feel an immediate pain. But, boy, howdy, I felt it big time when I coughed, sneezed, or blew my nose!

I don't know what has happened. Maybe a strained muscle? I would think if I broke them from coughing I would have felt a real sharp pain immediately when it happened. I just woke up New Years Eve morning and they were hurting.

When my kids were younger, I didn't experience PCB. It is only as I have "matured" that it sometimes hits me. There are still some homes where the lights were on as Hubby and I went out yesterday, so it's not too bad this year.

Good morning all! Hope you're all doing well on this fine weekend! I am enjoying the weekend and enjoying the last time I have a Christmas tree up for this year.

What are everyone's plans for today? i don't have a lot planned. I'm just going to clean the house and spend time DH and the kids. Tonight, we're going out with a couple that are our best friends.

Tomorrow the Christmas decorations come down. I haven't experienced any PCB's yet, hopefully I won't tomorrow.

Off to read some more of the boards and get somethings done around the house. Talk to you guys later. Have a great day and keep smiling. God Bless! I will check back later!

Good Saturday morning everyone! I had a very busy day yesterday but also got good news...We took snowball to the Vet and the vet is sending his sample in to a urologist just to be sure, but the stones appear to be small enough to pass...so right now surgery is not required we just have to keep a good eye on him and give him 3 different pills every 12 hours...The Vet said the pills would make him want to eat even more.. He already eats more than me.lol
In other news It's our last weekend off. I go back to work on Monday after a 2 week holiday and Brandi has decided to go back on Monday as well.. She was going to wait until after the MLK holiday in 2 weeks but since the new semester starts on weds she gets 4 new classes for spring semester and does not want them with a sub for 2 weeks..So I guess I support her decision in going back. PCB"s still under control I guess after a week back a work I will get back into a routine. I will catch up here today I hope everyone is having a great weekend thus far!

Yep, it's back to school I go. I had such a lack of energy that I had to have an infusion, so I hope it sticks for a while. We shall see. I can just picture Harlowe in the snow. I used to love to watch our dog in the snow when I was a kid. Be sure to take some pics!!!

I hope it lasts for you, too!

That is EXCELLENT news, Dawg. Thank goodness! I know how Brandi feels. It is so hard for kids, no matter the age, to have subs; but sometimes, it is necessary and they adapt. Take care of Snowball, as I am sure you will!!!

Thanks, Sugar. It is amazing how it works. The first one took several days to kick in, but once it did, it was great. I do have to be careful and not get too enthusiastic and over-do!

I hope it lasts for you, too!

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is overcast and quite chilly here in northern California. Hubby and I will be having our Christmas dinner today since my lack of energy prevented us (me, really) from doing anything during the week of Christmas. The turkey is almost brined, the croutons are being dried and then will be toasted, the crockpots are ready for the gravy and stuffing, the rolls will soon be rising, the pie is store-bought, the eggs will soon be deviled, the potatoes are soon to be cooking, and the peas and cauliflower will round out the meal in addition to cranberry sauce. I think that's it. Hope I haven't forgotten anything!

so....the tree is out....:(....but stay positive....I will say it with my daughter Kandice´s words

"Mama...it will terrible without the tree....but taking the decoration down is as much fun as putting it up.....at least now we are decorating the inside of the boxes"

when she said that...I smiled and hugged her...because she made something which was sad for her...into something kinda positive

How cute!! what a wonderful way to look at it!!

If anyone is interested: I just received an email about a series of books called Creative Woman Mysteries. Here is what was said about the first book, Strands of Fate: "Shannon McClain runs her own custom jewelry business from a workshop next to her home in Scotland. Widowed three years ago, she is working hard to ensure her teenage kids get the attention and guidance they need, but the money from her late husband's insurance is nearly depleted. Then a mysterious letter arrives from the United States. Shannon is named as one of the beneficiaries in the will of a woman who claimed to be her grandmother! Is this for real? Who is this woman...and why would she leave Shannon such a large part of her fortune?" I have not heard of this series before, but it might be interesting to you who are creative here at MMC!!!

We just ordered a new laptop! Our's has still really been acting up. I think we are going to see if someone can wipe out the old one and see if it is good for just games, for EA to play on.

Can't wait for it's arrival!

I bought one for the mrs this Christmas and Its neat and all, but beware, (and of course, this is only my opinion, (I do not want offend anyone)) but Windows 8 - it's a real stinker.... (It's a perfect example of geeks going wild/ too far to be too cool...).

I mean, you can become used to it, but it's not Windows 7 or XP, I'll take them any day of the week. And it's not the user, it's the platform, it's way too complicated and totally useless for someone, that is just a basic operator/ user and wants or needs only just basic functions.

I'm telling you the world is becoming way to complicated for itself and in some cases, like this, unnecessary. There is a point as with all things, that simpler is better, why complicate things all the time? Life is stressful enough, why make it worse.... Just my blah, blah, blah for the day!

My nephew who was in an asthma-induced coma is awake and talking. Thanks for your prayers and kind thoughts!

I agree 100% with you on that!

Good morning all! Tonight, we're going out with a couple that are our best friends.

Have a lovely evening out you deserve it

Mine does not play the carols if the room is dark for a certain amount of time. Thank goodness because I forgot to move it into another room away from the bedroom. Hubby would not have been happy hearing it every hour during the night!!!

Now that is a good idea think that one of mine can go of at night but you have to start it at some time to start it i just let it whale away lol
