Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good evening,

I had a good day today, my final Christmas gift from my wife finally came in today, it was The Lost Broadcasts: Live Performances of The Move DVD I watched and LOVED it. It is so tough being a fan of a group who broke up years before I was born. I love seeing these old shows with them performing, and there live performances were amazing, no auto-tuning, real instruments being played.
Then my wife gave me a Santa Claus for my birthday, got to love having a birthday after everything Christmas goes to 75% off, I love it I put it right next to my tree. Tomorrow night will be the last night of the outdoor lights for us, the indoor stay on until I get the time to take them down.

I have that interview tomorrow, I am so anxious about it. I may not get a good night sleep tonight.
Sad news for us tonight, the preschool we send LC to is closing at the end of the month, we are devastated by that, he only had a few more months to go before he graduated from there. It is all he has known and the teachers there love him and he too them. We haven't told him yet, he isn't going to understand.

Yeah but do they have a meatloaf tower with Bread, Mashed Potatoes, Meatloaf, Gravy, and Onion Rings??? Yum!!!
 
It figures, I turn the channel and Notre Dame scores a touchdown. Maybe if I don't watch, they will make a miraculous comeback.

Yes, I am so excited to be here! It's surreal, still pinching myself. ;)
I love that barn so much, it's very symbolic to me. My family is @ an hour & a half away, Adrian's too. My sister came up on Saturday to help me unpack, what a big help she was! We are getting close, I think the end is in sight.


Hope you had a great first day back!! Is the infusion helping? I kept thinking @ you throughout the day. Xo

Oh, I took the picture of Adrian/Elvis today. He found his sunglasses while unpacking & decided to have some fun w/ them! He crAcks me up.

The kids were pretty good today, but having to take the time to reorganize the papers did not help. So we will have to try to make up the time during the rest of the week. Sorry Seawaters, I just read that you had a bit of a rough first day back. I'm glad the kids were good, though! Your students are So lucky to have you. I remember all of my teachers, and there are a few that hold an extra special place in my heart. Adrian feels the same way. On a long weekend trip to the Chicago area, we spent an afternoon visiting a teacher from H.S. who was a real inspiration & rock to him. Xo
