Christmas Countdown - 2013

I had a great Aunt and Uncle that use to just put a big trash bag over there tree at the end of the season and slide it into the closet with everything still on it. Then the next year they would just slide it back out, take the bag off, and plug it back in.

That is awesome!! If I had an empty closet that was tall & big enough, I probably would too but I might still take the ornaments off & redecorate each year because I love that part!

Good evening! Hope all is well with you all! I was hoping to get caught up this evening, but remembered that our Internet is out, so I only have my 3G on my cell to use, to check in on here, so I can only do that briefly.

Verizon can't come until Thursday, which makes us a little unhappy. Hopefully it is something that is a quick fix. It is probably good anyway I am not spending too much time on here - I have certification that I have to study for, for work and the test is next week. I already have the certification, but any test still makes me nervous!

Hopefully tomorrow I can briefly through the posts, as tomorrow is my day off - I just don't like to be using too much without wifi. Talk to you guys then!

Good evening! Hope all is well with you all! I was hoping to get caught up this evening, but remembered that our Internet is out, so I only have my 3G on my cell to use, to check in on here, so I can only do that briefly.

I got my phone call around 6pm.

I got the job!!!


But...



...I turned it down, if I took it I would have been working 12-9 Mon.-Fri. and 8-1 Saturday mornings. I would have missed my boys growing up, my father wasn't there for me after my parents divorced, and I wasn't going to let that happen to my kids. I want to watch them play baseball games, Cub Scouts, and whatever endeavor they decide to do. I was teary after I hung up with my interviewer, I really wanted this job. I want to maybe even need to change careers, the money would have made us comfortable, maybe even very comfortable, but time with my family is more important. He understood, and told me if I change my mind to call him.

Everything happens for a reason.

I knew you would get it !!!! I am glad you thought it through so well. I worked 12-9 Monday through Friday at my last job and that gets to be a PAIN after not too long a time !! xo

You should be very proud of yourself. Every interview is good practice, and will build your confidence for future interviews. Way to knock it out of the park, Xmas. Hopefully next time, the position will have better hours for you. You made an admirable decision for you & your family.

Seawaters, our downstairs family room is nice sized- I plan to put 6 ft. Craft tables along the perimeter of the walls & put my village there!! Can't wait! 351 days!!!!

Good evening, Christmas family

I wanted to stop by and give you all an update on Wishbone. It isn't good. He had blood work done today and his BUN is back up to 129, creatinine 3.4. There was another value also but I cannot recall what it is right now. The doctor said we will check blood every two weeks to see how things are trending. If they even out and just stay there then that will be okay. If he starts having bouts of "GI" symptoms that are intractable then.........I can't even say it. As long as he feels good and he is comfortable then We will continue the Lactated ringer solution. I won't hang on to him one second longer if he gets to the point he is suffering. I know, I have had him a long time and yes, he has had a good long life. But I still love him. We have an especially close bond but if it becomes time to let him go to God (my belief) then I will do that.

Sorry for being so sad. Today has not been a good one. I feel as though I have been assailed from all sides, worried about Wish, extremely worried about money and on and on. Perhaps tomorrow will be a better and more Christmassy day xo

I just don't know what iswrong..It's like having a virus that will not go away. I was okay over the weekend,but then today at work things just went down hill..I just took my weight in immodium so maybe that will help.lol I love you guys and hope you are all doing well. PCB"s still clinging on but they seen to be getting better each day!! goodnight!

Glad you got the job but sorry you had to give it up... In the long run your family will be better for it...kudos to you though,my pops was never around growing up either,although he was a great dad I missed having him around...Your Boys will be grateful when they grow up to have had you around Im sure! and you never know a much better job could be around the corner anyways!

We call her "Baby." She lets us hold her like a real baby and is so cute!
