Busy night at work tonight, but I am off tomorrow with my hours cut. So it looks like I will be taking decorations down tomorrow. I mentioned that to my wife and she made a face, I said I don't have to take them down. She told me to take down 1 tree, she doesn't want them all to go down yet. cheesy She knows how I have such a hard time when everything comes down, and how boring the house looks without them.
I just want to thank everyone for the support I have received about my decision I made yesterday. It has meant a lot to me that you have all supported me. It was a very tough decision to make, and I have been thinking about it a lot today. I think it really hit me when I was working tonight, I could have given my two week notice and the relief from that would have been huge. I will keep looking for something else. Thank you all so much. Once again more proof this is the greatest site on the web.

Good morning all!!

Very cold here this morning, we had such a mild xmas and now it seems winter is hitting us, they have forecast snow for next week!

Mum has the day off work today so calling down for some lunch before I head out to work! My last shift today then Im not back until wednesday!!

Stay warm today! We usually have a milder Christmas and then it gets bitter cold here, too. It has been in the 50s the past couple of years for Christmas, except for this year.

Can't believe the forecast is for snow next week. Were was it a few weeks ago . Ah well, might have to break the Christmas coffee cups out again. Any excuse have a good Thursday people.

I would like to know where the snow was a few weeks ago, too! It always conveniently disappears for Christmas. I totally agree with you, snow provides the perfect opportunity to grab the Christmas coffee mugs. Have a good day!!

Just stopping by on my way to bed. I am so tired. Got up at 5 again today and got to work about 7.

Wish seems to have felt really good today. I started researching things in a K9 Kidney disease forum I joined and discovered that one of his meds, Benazepril, can cause elevation of the BUN !! So I am going to talk to the doc about this. Maybe he will consider changing to another drug. I hope so.

He is actually asleep by me on the loveseat which is where he always used to be. He is acting himself tonight for the first time in a while. Why Did I not know he was not feeling well ?? I am supposed to be his pet parent. I did get him to the doctor the minute he didn't want his breakfast...

Made - I hope your mother is over her headache and I hope your niece is doing okay. My arthritis seems to be under control now. I even have normal looking TOES !!! The psoriasis itself is not gone though....I am still a freak.

Seawaters - I hope you are feeling better.

Meceka - Congratulations on becoming an aunt again !!! I bet the baby is beautiful.

Nothing special here---it's just Thursday. Time for tea while waiting for the work to hit my desk. It's been a slow week so far, but sometimes that means a deluge is on the way.

I hope something happy happens to you today!

Same here! Just your average, boring Thursday. What kind of tea do you like to drink? Anything special? I hope that work picks up a little bit, at least to keep you busy during the day. Sometimes sitting around and waiting for something to do is the worst. Have a good day!

Try to relax. Sleep well and very sweet dreams to you. You need it! I am sure Wish can sense when you are upset as well and that is no good for him. Watch your favorite Christmas movie, listen to some of your favorite Christmas carols, or light a Christmas candle. The little things can cheer you up and change your mood. Wish will be happier, too

Good morning everyone!

Thursday. One more day until the weekend. I am suppose to volunteer at the outdoor rink on Friday night for the first time this year. The only problem is that the forecast is calling for freezing rain. Plus, temperatures are to be raining and above freezing this weekend. I don't think it will be safe to open the rink. It will be too warm to flood following a potential skate or "shinny" game. We'll see how it goes!

As for today, there's just some work. I also have Active Release Therapy at 3:15. I'm excited for it. I had a bit of a setback last Friday. Now I know another activity that I cannot do. Live and learn.

Have a great Thursday, everyone. We're now in double digits of the first month of the year. Soon, we'll be only 300 days to the Christmas Season. So much is ahead of us.

Morning! I am very happy that it is almost the weekend. This seems like such a long week! Yikes, that does not sound like very safe weather to open the rink. If it is bad, hopefully some has the smarts to cancel whatever is going on there!

I am sorry that you had a setback, but you're right, we all live and learn.

That's right, Shellie. CM3 should not beat herself up. Even the vet didn't catch the effect of the medication on the BUN level.

and being honest idont think it wood have made a lot of difference
When your at it ask him about vitamins as well i will check this out for you
sometimes vets will not look into things, but your doing the right thing joining a site that deals with it goodluck

I totally agree with you! I think that the little things should make anyone happy. So many people take for granted the little things in life - such as enjoying Christmas mugs or candles or movies. Why not enjoy the things that make you happy when you want to? That's why I don't like when people judge us Christmas lovers for being excited when the stores start putting things out in August, or when we listen to Christmas carols when we want, orrrrrr if we want to keep our trees up a little bit longer. It's what makes us happy!

Lots to get done today...Verizon was here already and fixed our wifi...yahhh! I have dinner in the crockpot already. I am doing Italian vegetable soup. It smells so good!

Gotta run though...need to get a shower, do something quick for lunch, then go grocery shopping, all before DH has to leave for work at 4.
