Hello friends!!

Hope your Monday was nice!

We have been dealing w/ insurance issues...what a pain

Long story, but basically our health insurance agent talked me into going with a co. He represented, rather than Cobra, after resigning from Sletten. He said it would be easy to transfer to a WI plan after we got here. Come to find out, there are no WI plans for that company! Frustrating!! Especially When I have prescriptions to fill every month, and what not. And one of them I was supposed to go to the doctor for before he could refill it again, but I couldn't because of the lack of coverage here.

So, we've been applying since early Dec., but we keep getting the runaround from the co. We're most interested in, saying they'd put a rider on a minor issue that I have. In the meantime, another bill is due for the insurance we still have out of Nevada. $500...

So disappointed in the agent we have in NV. Someone we thought we could trust.

According to a friend of my sisters who is an agent here, she said if I can make it through 2013 without coverage on this issue, that in 2014 insurance companies will not be able to put riders On pre-existing conditions...hmmm, what to do...

It's brutally cold here. I took Harlowe for a very short walk, and it was -1 outside. Couldn't feel my fingers & toes after 5 min. We are expecting snow throughout the week. Hope it warms up soon!

Lol, reminds me of a funny story.

My Mom gave us a Rachel Ray "Man's" cook book quite a few years back, and Adrian was trying to make a dish where you had to light some brandy or something on fire, and he almost burned our condo down!!

Not that it was amusing back then
But everyone in our building teased him about it for a bit!!

:lol: No, darn her! I just asked Adrian what he was making that night, and he thought it was some kind of Jack Daniels burger or steak. And then he wanted to know where that cook book went! Lol.
I said that I wouldn't tell...:smile:

I know there are men out there who are excellent cooks and chefs but with that title of the book sounds like it is meant for men who have never cooked before, beginners cookbook. She adds a recipe like that to it? What did she expect? I bet she was laughing away when she put that recipe in there! Ha ha!!!

lol....Been there done that!

We got to the point when I cooked, my wife would boot me out of the kitchen because I was making such a mess. Now, no problems; She does all the cooking and I do all the eating....:lol:

No seriously now, we do have an agreement, she does all the cooking (except if I make something for myself or something general like breakfast sausage or something like that) and I do all the cleaning and now both of us can stand being in the kitchen together now!

We have an agreement too. We just go out to eat, let them cook and clean! :lol:

Kidding! Cannot afford that all the time. Snow-in-Texas helps me out with cleaning the kitchen over the weekend. Weekdays I usually have all that done before he gets home from work.

You just made me curious, so I looked up our current temp.. It's -6, and only 7:27 pm.

No wonder poor Har's leg gave out while taking her out to potty.
Don't know what to do, she wanders around sniffing for a spot, and before ya know it, she can't stand on her own. And then I have to take her in. She hasn't gone since late morning!
