I didn't know that about the Grasshoppers! Thanks for the tip. Although, it might have been better that I didn't know.

Sorry, I have heard Keebler cookies are actually very close to Girl Scout Cookies.

Here is what Lifehacker.com has to say about them:

The Grasshoppers are very similar to Thin Mints, but use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate. This gives them a slightly sweeter, more chocolatey taste, but they're pretty comparable, and would certainly keep you from going through withdrawal of the crack-like Thin Mints.

The Coconut Dreams also use milk chocolate instead of the usual dark, though it's a bit harder to taste the difference than it is with the Thin Mints. I did notice that there is a slight difference in texture: the Coconut Dreams are a bit crunchier, while the Samoas are a bit chewier. The caramel-to-cookie to ratio just seems a bit higher on the Samoas. That said, the two are probably the most similar cookies we found in the taste test, and most people would probably have a hard time telling them apart.

We couldn't try the Peanut Butter Filled cookies, but after a bit of research, it seems they're the most distant from their Girl Scout counterparts, Tagalongs. While Tagalongs use a white cookie in the center (topped with peanut butter and chocolate), the Keebler cookie uses a chocolate cookie on the inside instead. This is likely to produce a very different tasting cookie, though they might suffice if you're hankering for some Tagalongs in the summer.

My husband is a longtime film collector, and a couple years ago we splurged on a video projector, so we keep a large screen up in the basement and have classics on the big screen whenever we want! We also have two movie-poster frames embedded in the wall so we can display vintage movie posters. But sometimes I miss seeing them with an audience. We've attended a few collectors' film festivals, and those are a blast---collectors showing their rarest and best to other collectors, plus a 35mm film show in a vintage theater of recently restored films.

Wow! That sounds like you guys have a theater right there in the house! One day I hope to. Sounds like we have some stuff in common. I have been collecting movies on DVD for some time, and have a pretty good collection built up. I have a few silents, a lot from the 30s, 40s and 50s, and then a lot of Westerns from every period.

Swine flu? Really, Doc? I pay you that much money and you tell me I have the swine flu?

What the heck? Ripoff.

I told you to stay away from those razorbacks!!!!!!

I hope you feel better soon friend!!!!!

Thank you for posting this !! Wow...I didn't know ANY of this !!! xo

I love the idea of decorating it for Christmas. Be sure to take pictures!

Wayne got me a bike! It looks like a little girls bike for grown ups, It's got flowers all over it and I love it! As quoted from Elf, "It's very purpley"! It's strange that I had a dream a few nights ago about riding around on a purple bike, though I was not looking for that color, then see one the next day that I liked. The first one I saw was at Walmart and it was purple. I liked it but decided to check out Academy before making a final decision. Then I came across this one at Academy that has gears, the other did not have gears and I really wanted that feature. It happened to be purple as well! I love the cruiser style bikes, they are old timey type and just more comfortable to me. I took it for a ride yesterday and for a short time this morning.

I plan to get a child's seat so my granddaughter can go riding with me.

Wayne and I decided that the bikes will be our Valentine presents to each other. He will get one in a couple of weeks. I doubt his will be purple with flowers on it. Ha ha!

I think I will decorate it for Christmas by adding battery operated Christmas lights and add a wreath on the back.

I will be back later today to catch up! I gotta run right now!!!

Duh! I just saw the pic!!!

Have you ever seen a short Western called Purgatory ?? It is FANTASTIC !! It starred Sam Shepherd, Eric Roberts and Donnie Wahlberg among others !!

I would just love to watch some movies with you guys !! xo

We could be just the audience that MC wants, huh, CM3?

That would be nice! Invite me to the movie party if it ever happens! :hi:

You'd be totally underwhelmed by the "theater"! It's in a small finished area of the basement and consists of a screen, two chairs, an Epson MovieMate, and a 16mm projector patched out to a stereo system! But you'd see movies here you likely wouldn't see anywhere else. You'd be surprised at how much wonderful stuff HASN'T been released on DVDs. On 16mm we have stuff from every decade from the 1920s to the 1980s, but heaviest on the 1930s and 1940s---lots of comedy, music, and mysteries, but also a little drama and Western. And a nice selection of Christmas movies!

I had the swine flu shot way back in 1976. I was pregnant at the time, and my husband at the time was in the Marines.

And to top it off, Doc, you act like I have the cooties....you are a doctor...haven't you had your cooties shot...oh wait...your the dr. who gave me a flu shot...no wonder you nervous....

(As you know, there is no shot for H1N1, just letting some frustration out...if I did this outside, then would pick me and dispose of me)

So it's just gonna be a lot of ballcoach on here the next couple of days....
