Good afternoon,

It has been one heck of a day so far, I won't go into details, but my kids are disgusting! Some of my decorations are still out, I think I am getting old, my body doesn't recover as quick as it use to after a hectic busy day. I am so sore and exhausted. I probably won't be watching the Super Bowl later, so we will probably watch The Dark Knight Rises or something like that. I have watched a lot of hockey lately, so I will let my wife pick something, lots of brownie points giving the wife the remote control during the Super Bowl.

I hope you all enjoy your Super Sunday!

If not, I got your back; I have several. In fact, one of them came from Telly Savalas. My SIL's sister married into the family and SIL brought some back to ECU after the wedding. That was the first time I had any. And I have been making it ever since. Sooo good!

I have not made baklava since my kids were little, wonder if I still have the recipe kicking around somewhere?

back from church, very cold again today, -17c (1f) with a wind chill of -22c (-7f)...good day to stay in and have a bowl of hot soup for lunch.

My son said something about a football game today, stocked up on a bunch of snacks, friends coming over. Good thing they will all be downstairs in the rec room! I can even close the door if they get to enthusiastic.

well, got to get a cake baked for tomorrow, so be back later!

Have a wonderful Sunday, Star !! xoxo

Every year after New Year's Day as I walk around the neighborhood with our dog, I look to see how many houses still have their Christmas decorations up. (A very fun thing to do!)

As of the end of January, I'm pleased to report there were still 12 houses (out of about 80 total in the neighborhood) that still had their decorations up!
(This morning, we are down to 11.)

Got up EARLY this morning to be in the next town for the Ord Bend Fire Dept. pancake breakfast. So good! Now I am so sleepy. Time for meds and a nap and then time to start making all the goodies for Super Bowl. I love to "snack" this way!

In the one book I am reading entitled Hoda, the author, an Egyptian, gives her mother's recipe for baklava. It is exactly like mine! I am really enjoying both of these books. They could stand a little more editing, but it doesn't take too much away. Very interesting reads.

I am going to get both books you told me about !! xo

Sounds like a great time, I remember sharing when we were having our boys, the faces and reactions were priceless.

No one touches the decorations here except me when it is time to decide what goes. cheesy

Same way here....I take care of all the Christmas things....or Else !! xo

Well that's why the Ravens are gonna win so us Steelers fans can still be Sixburgh :D I will cry if the 49ers win!!!!!

Sixburgh, I like that! I know some Steelers fans that a rooting for the 49ers because they hate the Ravens so much. I wondered if they knew about the Super Bowl wins count between them and the 49ers. I didn't tell them, LOL.

Good luck from someone with no dog in the race.

Thanks xmas365!!!

I like it CM3!!!

It's funny....I was just going to get on here and tell everyone that I have seen 2 houses (not in my town) that I saw still had lights on...that's so awesome...really brought a smile to my face!
