Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Another crazy day here at work, trying to get the quick renovation done, all while trying to keep up with my actual job. One thing's for sure; there are too many chiefs and too few indians like me. :-D

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

That is how it is where I work. cheesy

Well it's hump day! I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am still on cloud 9 from the Super Bowl win! I watched Joe Flacco on Letterman Monday night, he was actually kind of funny. He also announced that his wife is pregnant with their second child. I am wondering when in the heck did he have time for that? He has been pretty busy the last few weeks with the playoffs and preparing for the Super Bowl! Okay no more Super Bowl talk from me. I know I am in the minority of people that like the Ravens.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday and Happy Pines Day!!!!

You earned the right to brag, enjoy the championship! I did when the Bruins won the cup a couple of years ago.

I have something cute to share about our 3 year old granddaughter. She had watched the children's cartoon, Calliou and the story was about Calliou playing with his grandpa. After it was over, my granddaughter looked at me with a bashful smile and said, "I love playing with Papa Wayne".

She also begged him the other day not to go to work. She just loves him! She keeps us laughing all the time!

We sure are missing our grandsons! They are in school and involved in after school programs so we see them briefly here and there. We will see a lot of them this summer though!

That is so sweet.

Good morning,

Still keeping an eye on the weather for Friday, it is still looking like it could be pretty nasty around here. They have already issued a winter storm watch to start late tomorrow night. I am just resting up before work, with the storm coming it will be busy. Not much more going on,just watching Ancient Aliens, aliens freak me out, I don't know why I watch these things. The trailer for Dark Skies was on TV the other night, they showed an alien and I covered my eyes. My wife laughed at me, I guess I looked ridiculous. cheesy Heading to work soon.

Have a good day.

That's funny you said that because as we shopped for bikes I kept seeing baskets and telling Wayne I am going to get one for my doggies. I actually saw one meant for pets, it has an enclosure to hold them in it. I really wouldn't get one though because with the way my dogs are it would freak them out to ride in it but I am sure some dogs would love it!!! I do plan to get a basket just to hold items in it. We also plan to sometime take the bikes to the lake so the basket can hold a picnic lunch in it. Ride around, stop for a light lunch and continue riding. Can't wait!!!

I think Harlowe would be the same..she doesn't like to be contained! =)

My parents have a 4.5 pound Yorkie named Jazzie, and they've taken her on bike rides ever since she was little! She's the only pup I know that enjoys being in a basket.

Your plans for picnics @ the lake sound amazing!!

I was so freaked out by "Signs". Every time I see a corn field, I think of that movie!! And we have some adjacent to our neighborhood!

I mentioned last week that I was reading two books: Hoda and Ten Years Later by Hoda Kotb, a news correspondent. In Hoda, the author details her "perfectly comfortable" imperfections, and says she is "most at home when things are somewhat flawed." She then goes on to describe the contents of her purse on one particular day: "loose dollar bills, jam-packed wallet, a winter hat, a hardback novel, a thank-you card with a dog on it, Advil, one glove, a travel zip bag with 3-ounce bottles, mints, my checkbook, cough suppressant pills, a bottle of perfume, deodorant, contact lenses, a comb, an apple, and a Christmas ornament...Yeah. That's my world." Later she adds that "one woman's kitchen is another person's crime scene." When I read about the Christmas ornament, I felt as if Hoda were one of us!!! Just had to share!

Glad your wife loved the shelf. Enjoy your snow!

Good evening,

I was busy for most of the day, got nearly done taking my Christmas stuff down, I hung my shelf in my room to display my collectible Santa's, my wife loved it. I just have one more room to take lights down and it will finally be all down. This weekend will probably when that happens since it looks like we have a major snowstorm coming one model saying we will be getting 1-3 inches and the European model saying we will be getting 12+ inches, of course the European has been the more accurate of the two, so I am glad I have the weekend off.

Have a good night everyone.

Clear, blue skies and chilly temps. I faxed some info to Social Security and will mail hard copies a little later when I get a chance to go to the post office. I need to write up some particulars about myself to prepare for the school board meeting tomorrow night. Still working on some organizational stuff. TTYL

Hubby has been a die-hard 49ers fan for forever. But we both like the Ravens, too, especially Ray Lewis.

That's funny because some of my favorite teams are the 49ers, the packers and the Bronco's as well also!

It's because when we didn't have a football team, I used to watch the football games from all over and some of my favorite quarterbacks were Montana, Elway and Farve; still are....

Made it to Wednesday! This week hasn't been so bad at the office, but it sounds like next week is going to be a tough one. A major campaign and some rough deadlines coming up, plus they may be moving some of our desks.

I'm keeping a worried eye on that ... I'll be concerned about getting home safely on Friday. Depending on how the timing develops, I'd be driving in the teeth of it. I don't mind going slow and being careful, but the other drivers out there ... I'd rather not be among them when the roads are slippery. Well, it's two days away yet. We'll see what develops.

It's the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of 1978 today. I was still in school in Maryland at the time. It was good for a few days off, as I recall. And the snow was above my knees. We got an ice glaze on top of it that made walking very difficult---had to stomp on the ice to break it, then sink into knee-high snow. Mr. tells me that driving was prohibited in Massachusetts for days during the cleanup.

I remember that storm well. Ohio got hit quite badly too !!!

That is nice to have those Santas displayed year round!

I still have that string of Christmas lights in the door way leading to the den and the mistletoe hanging up. I am ready to bring it all down now. I might do that today but I still have a few small decorations scattered throughout the house like I always do every year!

My Santas are all still on the mantle...Usually by now they are tucked away. I just can't seem to let go of them this year.....
