We just got back from Wal-Mart. I bought the Spanish peanuts and a bottle of diet Pepsi, along with some Sour Patch Kids. OOOeee--SOUR!

They are great! Be careful, though. If you eat too many, your tongue will be raw ;) Haha! They're addictive!

This is so interesting. I haven't finished watching, but I wanted to stop and share.
When you click on the address, episode #3 comes up ready to play. I suggest you first click on "CONTACT" to the left and then select #1, then watch them in order, #1 through #4 (each time going back to "contact" and selecting the next one). This is an interesting look at Lindberg’s flight preparations, takeoff, etc.… Be sure to watch all four segments

Win Perkins, a real estate appraiser who specializes in airport properties, has posted on his Website, a video he created of Charles Lindbergh's famous and risky takeoff in the "Spirit of St. Louis" (20May27). According to Perkins, this is unlike any other presentation of the take off footage.
Perkins said he "painstakingly assembled news footage from five cameras that filmed Lindbergh's takeoff from Roosevelt Field, Long Island "and "mixed it with enhanced audio from the same newsreel sources." This is one of the most interesting videos I've seen come over the Internet. When you click on the address, episode #3 comes up ready to play. I suggest you first click on "CONTACT" to the left and select #1, then watch them in order, #1 through #4 (each time going back to "contact" and selecting the next one). I was glued to the screen through all 4. What guts it took for Lindbergh to overcome the odds against him, and accomplish this amazing feat!

If I had had coffee in my mouth, it would be on the screen by now!!!

Thank you, sounds like a lot of fun.
I checked it out and the nearest one is an hour away. I think I will check it out.
I asked my son if he knew who they were, he said "mom, I grew up in the 90's, of course I know who they are!!" LOL

Goodnight, friends!! Wishing you sweet Christmas dreams!! xx

Good morning, Christmas family

Getting ready to start for the day. Not much else going on. All the furkids are in their places sleeping. Clancy is in the bed beside me. Hermione is wandering around because she is bored, (potentially a very bad thing !), Wish is in his bed behind the couch and the kitties are having their usual feline morning adventures. I drank a Five Hour Energy like usual but for some reason this morning it really WIRED me. I feel like I could type a million lines a minute ! That won't last long though. They do not last five hours for me - at the most three hours.

I can't wait for Christmas in July !! I never have anything very witty to say but I enjoy Made and Binger and Coach and everyone else's comments.

I am taking a break from dieting. UGH. When I get to this point, I just have to stop. There is no use trying to make myself diet with this mind set. If the good Lord is willing, I will pick up where I left off when I am more ready emotionally. It is not wise nor healthy but I am going to have some of those things I have been really missing.

Wish is doing so incredibly well I can't believe it. Of course, that could all change in milliseconds. With only 25% kidney function, I guess he would be considered critical but you would never know it. I am an old hand now at administering the subcutaneous fluids - something I never thought I could do, but it is for his LIFE and I will do anything for my furkids.

Have a wonderful Christmassy day, dear Christmas family !!

Good Morning, my Friends.

Well, SINGLE DIGITS are here!
(Single digits to our next Milestone, that is.)
Indeed.
Nine short days from today will see the grand opening of the 300-day Christmas Day window and the commencement of a double-200's count.
(Hardly seems possible, and yet.......)

Days to the Season: 267
Days to Christmas Day: 309

A bit warmer yesterday.
Should be even warmer today, with the chance of rain.
We stand at 39 degrees here, currently.

You all have a Tea-Totally Terrific Tuesday Today, OK?

nice to hear all you precious animals are doing great! My Penny is doing her morning run around, bouncing off the furniture!
Careful with those energy drinks, long term use is just as dangerous as using to much. We need you here!!

Good morning everyone.

I hope everyone had a great long weekend... If you were lucky enough to have Monday off - that is. I was not scheduled to have Monday off, however, two very close friends were getting married on Sunday afternoon/evening. It was a wonderful ceremony and reception. I could not be happier for them! In preparation for a late night, I took yesterday off. As mentioned, it was Family Day in Ontario, but federal government employees do not get Family Day off, so I had to call in.

Anyway, sorry for my disappearance for a week or so. Bad news is that I didn't get the full time position. Good news is that my grandmother is now out of the hospital and feeling better. It did not seem to be going well for a few days, but she pulled through and returned to her seniors' home.

It's great to see the countdown to 300 is in single digits! There are less than 10 days until the end of February. March is coming up quick! Well, have a great Tuesday, everyone! The 'Pines is open tomorrow... I can only wonder the plans of Carl. That camel is probably scratching his head and pondering how to celebrate being between holidays and (somewhat) between seasons!
